I will rate each GTA I've played:

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

7.5/10

I find the tropical set location, 80s nostalgia style, and general music in the games radio stations to be ace. The game was a hard one mechanic wise with combat where it became a little odd at times to do some things, but once you got into the flow it was rainbows and unicorns. Working your way from a small apartment to a freaking mansion with a bunch of tennis courts, pools and garden maze with security, it gave such a feeling no other game could quite give at the time for me, this was also my first OWNED GTA game before this I played San Andreas at friends houses.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

9.5/10

I couldn't have asked for a more better game for the time period, nothing was quite like GTA SA at the time and it was gleaming in the spotlight because of it. This game gave me countless hours of entertainment and probably not a very good influence wanting to go out with my friends and form a gang like in the game haha, nothing too serious just fun and games (probably ended up annoying them more than anything). I never managed to beat it story wise as at the time I was more interested in the role-play aspect, pretending to be a policeman, swat, army, fireman, ambulance driver, gang member, end of the world survivor, biker gang member etc... The possibilities were endless, it took you as far as your imagination could go, which for a child when I was playing was very easy to do.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City + Stories (PSP and PS2)

4/10

Eh, it was okay but it lacked a lot of what I came to know the brand for, I never really gave it as much love as say GTA VC and GTA SA. I believe I just stopped playing at some point, it was fun to play out and about because for the time it was the only portable handheld GTA game available so I often played it when I didn't have my console. I still enjoyed entering the chrome cheat and driving around in the Rhino Tank blowing things up for hours on end, but couldn't really get into the roleplay aspect like I did in SA and VC.

Grand Theft Auto IV

8.3/10

This game, this game was a game changer for the series, it brought so much more depth and detail that has never been seen before in a GTA game, I was very excited for this game. Also, I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't bringing me back to Vice City or San Andreas, you know, one of the more popular worlds in the series rather than I'd hate to admit, least popular places. But still, the game looked great and it was a poster boy for the new-gen at the time, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, new consoles wanting to show off their prowess so there was also that mindset going about A LOT. The game for me was grand, it was a top quality experience I think, I came to really like all the characters and the general world, I felt they did justice to the Liberty City world with this series which it needed after Liberty City on PS2 and Liberty City Stories on PS2 and PSP. OH and it was the first GTA and one of the first FEW games I played ONLINE, which was huge to me at the time, fun times.

Grand Theft Auto V

10/10

I honestly cannot imagine GTA getting any more perfect than this version of the series, I feel this was their vision and it was fore filled. The next big thing I can honestly see to trumping this is either making Vice City or Liberty City in the same Quality as GTA V San Andreas or they finally make a GTA with all the maps connected, heck, maybe even the whole United gta states. Whatever they have planned for the series next I have the utmost faith in them delivering to the fanbase, heck I wouldn't be surprised if they just call GTA V their final GTA product, they've certainly dedicated to putting so much effort and work into it.
