Things you used to like, but now don't (and vice versa)?

Used to like:

 

Sonic - I was a heavy fan who couldn't draw any character, but then after seeing all the stupidity of the fandom, I quit it after like 4-5 years of being in that fandom.

 

Need for Speed: World - At first, when I joined in March 2014, I felt it was like the best game ever. Now, it is the opposite. EA has gone full Rambo and now is banning almost everyone after the mods returned after 2 years of inactivity.

 

Psy - When Gangnam Style came out, I decided to give it a try a few months later, I liked it, but then came Gentleman, and then I hated Psy.

 

Ricing - if u rice dat aston martin get rekt m8

 

Used to hate:

 

Mario - Mostly because of the goddamn Sonic-Mario fan war, I used to hate him. But I got over with it.

 

Anything else? Well, yeah, but I can't remember much.

Things I used to like

 

- 85% of all 90's shows

I get it, nostalgia and childhood favorites are always great to look back at and enjoy the good old times, but most were'nt that awesome to begin with like Rocket Power

 

-Nickelodeon

Pretty solid channel up until 2005, since then, I slowly disliked them more and more to the point of despising whatever they plan wrong

 

-Watching TV

Relaxing and watching your favorite programs is great, if it's not for the fact that you've probably seen it more than you've slept in your eternal life. TV is good for a while, but there comes a point where you will get bored of TV thanks to the amount of rewatchs and bad shows/episodes together

Things I liked.

 

Naruto - well I still like it, but it just fell to a lower spot on my list.

 

Sponge Bob - you know why.

 

 

Things I disliked.

 

Going anywhere - I used to hate driving, but I now I realize the necessity.

 

Creativity - I used to think I wasn't creative, but now that is changing.

Pop music. It used to be good. Early 2000s, when they stopped that doo wop doo dop crap from the olden days but they hadn't yet figured out that they can have an owowowing or screaming whiner autotuned to hell and back as he/she/it whines recycled cookie-cutter lyrics will make it cheaper to produce crappy music that'll allow them to sell more songs and make more money, the spirit of music be as damned as their souls.

Advance Wars. Dark Conflict was sad, and dark, but a bit too bleak, and with not enough hope spots to keep things going. The Catleia=One of Caulder/Stolos's kids thing, I saw from a mile away.

Things I used to like: 

-COD, I played it years ago and all it ever did was get me mad and i realized that so i stopped buying them. 

- Soccer, i played it a lot but when i saw it it always bored the hell out of me so i stopped playing it and watching it overall 

 

Things i used to dislike: 

-Steak: i loved steak, but when i was little i ate at a restaurant and started choking on some steak that wasn't even good. I thankfully was alright and ever since I was always afraid of it, thinking it might happen again. But i conquered my fears and now I'm eating steak again like an animal ^^ 

Basketball: I always thought basketball was a sport for (sorry) African Americans...but after disliking soccer i went to basketball. It was the best decision of my life because Basketball is my life!

It's kind of hard for me to think of something I used to like but now really dislike? There are plenty of things that I have really began to lose interest in, like video games for example.

 

The only thing I can think of is the French Horn. Which I can't say I dislike even now. However, years ago I really wanted to learn how to play it. I adored it just like the bassoon, saxophone, and oboe. But then I began to hear what it sounded like outside of those amazing recordings, and all I could hear was the - what my band directors called - fracking. Meaning when they miss the pitch of a note (with the mouth, not fingers) and it makes a very not pretty sound. I have never had even the slightest interest in playing one since. 9 years ago if I had a signature banner like I do right now, it would include a French Horn. True story, I think I actually had one like that. Kind of... xD Either way, I'm actually very grateful I cut one of them off, because these three are still way too many to play at once. Lol

 

As for things I disliked but turned around and liked?

 

Punk/Pop Punk music comes to mind. I used to swear by Soft Rock/Oldies and Classical and that everything else was 'crap', but I especially targeted this genre for some reason. Like I heard a Green Day song like once, and I was like "OMG, that's so boring. Green Day is so overrated. Music today sucks." Yup... That was totally me at one point. I don't listen much to Green Day now, but I did listen to them quite a bit for a few years (after the aforementioned hating phase), and I most certainly don't hate them anymore, I'm just kind of on a break? Nevertheless, there are a multitude of bands I listen to from the genre now.

 

I also disliked the saxophone initially and rejected my parents offer for me to learn it when I told them I wanted to learn the clarinet. I got a clarinet, didn't really care for it, and one day messed around with putting the clarinet mouthpiece on a saxophone and I was like Pinkie Pie in Sonic Rainboom.

 

Touch Screen phones. I used to swear by physical keypads.

 

Dogs/English Bulldogs. When I was young I was much more into cats, even kind of wanted to be one at this point. We had a dog for all of my childhood, but she was big and I was scared of her. But in her final month or two she was an inside dog and calm, and I came to like her then. Then shortly after she passed away (which really got to me) we got our first bulldog. I could not understand the appeal in bulldogs, but then we got him... And... Wow. They're amazing dogs and I would never have any other kind now!

-My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I've since lost interest in the show for whatever reason.

 

 

Things I used to hate:

 

-Some foods, such as tomatoes and cream cheese.

 

-The Big Lebowski. I never really hated it, but I had heard good things about it, expected it to be great, watched it, and was disappointed. It has since grown on me, although I do still think that it is a bit over-praised.

Things I used to like:

 

Red Vs Blue. I remember watching the series through most of high school, but I kinda lost interest somewhere around...season 8 I believe? For that matter, I was really in to Machinima in general around the same time, but looking back on it I can't remember why.

 

Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons. I'll just say that Project Horizons has long over stayed its welcome and leave it at that.

 

Hockey. I never was too into sports, but I still at least paid attention to hockey at times.

 

Things I used to dislike:

 

The Mask. I can't tell you how much I hated this film as a kid. Now I would seriously rank it as one of my top 5 favorite movies.

I used to think Mario Kart 64 was one of the best racing games ever made.

 

Now, I think it's the worst Mario Kart game besides for Super Circuit.

 

Oh, and CatDog. I used to think it was funny, but after watching a few episodes of the show once again, I found it cruel and mean-spirited.

This is all I can remember off the top of my head.

 

Things I used to like:

 

- The Sonic the Hedgehog series. I used to be a fairly big fan, but I don't really care for it at all nowadays. Most of the (imo, crappy) modern games and the fanbase drove me away.

 

- Believe it or not, Comcast. When I first got Comcast's internet service, I was ecstatic! Finally, no more DSL or dial-up! My love affair with the company ended after I heard about this and this. As an avid internet user and someone who doesn't support media cross-ownership, I no longer trust or like them.

 

- School buses. I used to be an avid enthusiast, but now I don't really care much for them. Maybe the fact that I never rode one in high school contributed to the demise of my inner enthusiast.

 

- CNN, back when it was watchable. Now it's just utter crap, like most of the other cable news channels.

 

- The Weather Channel, back when it was all about weather. Now it's just a microcosm of cable television in 2014: reality TV (but with some weather mixed in,) bad morning shows, and overly peppy live weather programs that aren't even about weather ~60% of the time. Network decay, indeed.

 

Stuff I hated, but now like:

 

- A substantial swath of magical girl anime. I used to be part of the whole "ha, it's girly, so it sucks!" group, but then I started watching MLP, so I couldn't really paint such a broad brush like that anymore. Once I got back into anime, I actually found that there are some shows in the magical girl genre that are actually good in their own right, and contain good and/or thought- or emotion-provoking moments.

 

- MLP, but just G4 and the Rainbow Castle special from G1. You're not going to get me to admit it in public, though.

 

- Social media. If you told me in 2012 that I would be a Facebook and Twitter user, I would laugh; I wouldn't be caught dead with "those people" who use social media to post endless pictures of food. Some school-related events in 2013 shattered that illusion. Now I actually consider Facebook and Twitter pretty good websites to keep in touch with friends, even if they are grating at times. Of course, I still hate Snapchat, but I've already made my position clear on that.

Call of Duty

I was a die-hard Call of Duty fan but after Black Ops 2 I just lost interest. It less became about the game and more about getting prestiges and clan cred.

 

Rap

I used to absolutely hate Rap. I couldn't stand it, but lately I've started liking it for some reason.

 

Metal

I actually used to be quite the metalhead a few years ago, but now I hate metal and have gone the complete opposite way towards electronic.

 

Fashion

Back in 2012 and before for as long as I can remember, I was a massive fashionista, diva. Like Rarity. Nowadays I don't -entirely- care for fashion that much.
