"...that sounds...nice." Zen said a bit timidly. In truth, he didn't completely agree with her, especially about stealing an apartment to live in. Even so, she was the first one in a while who wanted to be around him so he decided to go along with her. "We should probably get inside and claim the rooms now." He said to her as he walked inside.

@, "Good idea," Louise arrived. "Wonder if we can get room service here; I'm starving. I brought some food with me when I went on to the boat, but I've finished it all now and haven't been able to get anything here, yet. If not, I'm sure that we can go downstairs and find something."

Victor happily shook her hand, honestly glad he wouldn't have to worry about getting lonely in a big penthouse by himself. "My name is Victor Branson. And if I may say so, I think you'll find staying with me was a smart move. Things always tend to go well for me, and I don't mind at all having someone to share my good fortune with." He turned and began to walk. "Now, if what I heard is right- and I'd like to think the government is pretty reliable about such things- our building should be just a couple blocks down this way."

That idea sounded fine to Zen, except for one little detail. "I don't eat" Zen said simply as he received a key from the front desk. "My abilities let me absorb the energy around us, on top of the energy my body produces normally. I haven't actually eaten food in years." He still remembered when he noticed that ability, after he was on the streets and didn't starve to death. "I'll join you if you want to get something though."

@, "Sure, that's a useful skill to have," Louise replied. "I'm different. I find that if I eat lots of calcium, my power grows stronger. I can always get it in the form of tablets if I can't get it in food. But just cuz you don't have to eat, doesn't mean you can't. You can always just have a milkshake!"

Zen wasn't so sure. The only reason he didn't eat at first was because he had nothing to eat and he just got used to it. 'I guess it couldn't hurt.' He thought. "Sure, I guess I could have one. It's just been a while." He said, remembering the last time he indulged in the act of eating. "I'll follow you."

@, Louise confidentally led the way up to their rooms. Tho most people seemed to be happy to share the same room, Louise was determined not to kowtow to that expectation. She grabbed two rooms that connected with a door between them for herself and for Zen, and brooked no arguments. The fact was that Louise was powerful and saw no reason not to show it. She chose one of the rooms for herself and put her rucksack down on the bed, inviting Zen to take the other.

"I also have a few hundred saved from doing small jobs." She said. "I didn't really have to spend much money on travel , seeing as how I can simply fly. The real problem was getting the electricity and food necessary to get here from Russia. Thankfully I pack light." Gale then gave three her bag of clothes, soap, and hair dryer into a corner, and headed for the bathroom. After she closed the door, the sound of running water could be heard after a few minutes.

Zen opened the door to the other room and walked inside. He never did have much, especially since he got his powers, so he was really impressed with the room. It was a regular suite with a TV, bed, closet, and bathroom, but he was more than pleased. He opened the connecting door when he walked past it and sat down on his bed. 'Well, I'm happy.' He thought.

Tom Brian's brother, Brian Tom, was having the worst day of his life. First, his brother came home, shocked, with broken bones, and a hole in his knee. And now some psychopath was using him as a trampoline. 

 

"Run out of breath to scream with?" Detru chuckled, blasting some more white mist from her mouth into Brian's face. Brian weakly nodded, making his captor sigh. 

 

"That's no fun" she whined, slamming his skull against the wall and beginning to run, grinding his face against the wall in the process. Brian began cursing his immortality at this point and bad luck ability.

@, I started to relax when my brain decided to recap, on events today, *I was on a boat to this island with a bunch of metahumans like me, talked to two of the guest on the boat, even making plans to live with one of them and that one was a shy female around my age, that looked great.* I stopped my mind before it went too far, I maybe a good person but I was still a guy that in particular some times my mind went to places that made me feel awkward, places that I did not want to be. I blushed at the mental complement I just gave to my roommate.

Gale sighed as she felt the cold water of the shower run over her body. As she bathed, her mind turned towards what had happened over the past few hours. She thought about the two meta humans that she had met and figured the reason that she was more open with them was because they also had special abilities. Her mind then drifted towards Shadow, making her blush. "He does seem cute." She thought, before shking her head to clear her thoughts. Agle then exited the shower and began to look for a towel.

@, I decided to stop thinking and sleep it off so I laid down down on the couch and tried to clear my head, thinking of the investigation I would have to do on that one Metahuman woman  that obviously liked to torment others but did she kill was the question.

Somehow, despite having most of his brain gone, he kept moving around. Detru would love nothing more than to get her first kill(every where else was too close surveillance) but this freak didn't seem to die. "UGH!" she snapped in disgust, tossing away his barely recognizable form and stomping to the apartment, her mood sour

After Gale dried off, took care of her hair, brushed her teeth, and and made sure the bathroom was clean, she loo,ed out the door and saw Shadow sleeping on the couch. The teen then sighed and walked into the main part of the room and grabbed her bag. She then chaged into a grey night gown with pajama bottoms. "I might as well let him sleep." She thought, before walking towards the bed, getting under the blanket and top sheet, and fell asleep.

Rikku kept pace with him, taking in the sights as she did. "Why did you come to the island?" She asked after a few minutes.

Nico was not prepared for a compliment but he accepted it anyway. "Yeah .. I'm the Techo Guy. You liked the mouse?" Nico asked slowly, smiling nervously and unsure of what to say. He brought out his phone and held it up for her to see. "Watch this." He said and, looking at her headphones, he changed the phone's structure to match that of her headphones. "Compare these to yours and see if they're the same." Nico hated talking to people as he always felt awkward whenever he did but he made an effort to try and break out of his shell.

He sighed. "Long story. I've been in and out of a million different labs for the past few years, right? Which I hate, mind you, but it's not like I have a choice. See, most metas, there isn't a lot you can actually do with their powers besides study how they got them. But mine could be emulated. A quantum computer could do it, or theoretically an ordinary human might be able to learn how in time. I just do it automatically. So they study me, to try and recreate what goes on in that part of my head. And it's no fun being their science project. So I talked to them, and I threatened to screw with their results, and eventually they decided to turn me lose out here where they can keep an eye on me and still get some decent data. But only here. Which is fine by me. It seems like a nice enough place." They arrived at the building and he opened the door for her. "So how about you? You're clearly not from anywhere around here, how did you end coming to Haven?"

@, "These are our rooms now, at least for the night," Louise said. "Tomorrow, we can go out and see what we can find. Now tho, we'll lock up and head downstairs; I saw a canteen as we went up so we can probably get food there. I'm good for taking whatever they're going to give us for free, even if it's only for one night."

"That sounds fine to me."  Zen said as he messed up his bed a bit. He didn't know why that habit stuck with him, but he knew that he slept better when the covers were messed up for some reason. One would almost mistake him for a normal kid considering the fact that he didn't look a day past 11, and he was jumping on the bed. "I'm ready when you are."

Rikku didn't pretend to understand exactly what he was saying but she managed to gleam off enough. She nodded in thanks when he opened the door for her "My city was razed by rebel fighting in Brazil. I lost my lands, my home and my friends. I was so angry...I opened up the ground and swallowed them all..." she said in a distant tone. Rikku had never taken a life before, much less a whole battalion. 

 

"So I come to o abrigo; this Haven, to learn. Oh wow...this building is so pretty" she looked around the lobby in awe, the only thing missing would be flowers.

"Right on." she switched the headphones, plugging the cord into her mp4 in her back pocket. "Ya know, you should always test new sets with Bohemian Rhapsody, covers all the sounds!" she smiled happily. Oh, it was just like hers! Tora handed them back "That's super useful! I wish I had that power UGH so LUCKY!" she punched him in the arm playfully.

Victor found himself looking at this woman in a different light. Was she really that powerful? "You... wow. Remind me not to get on your bad side. I can't say I blame you, though. I would feel the same way if someone hurt my family. And it is war, after all. Many of them would have died whether you had done anything or not. But you probably don't want to talk about it, do you? Anyway, let's just keep moving. If the lobby is this nice, I can't wait to see the penthouse." He got his key from the front desk after filling out some paperwork and then led Rikku to the elevator. As they ascended, he found himself staring at her. He usually didn't think about such things too much, but he had to admit she was certainly very attractive.

@, Louise took her purse and phone out her bag, and put them in her pockets. "Ready now," she said. "We'll lock the main door and head downstairs."

 

Louise led the way down the stairs to where she remembered seeing the canteen. It seemed to serve mostly junk food, which didn't bother Louise too much.

She gripped the bar in the elevator as they ascended; clearing her throat nervously. What a strange feeling, it made her nauseous.

 

"I...I like to believe I don't have a bad side. So it's good I am making friends now. Oh, I will have to get used to this or I may never leave the house! "

Nico grinned and rubbed his arm where she had punched it. "I'll keep that in mind." Nico said, placing the headphones around his neck. "It is useful but depending on how much technology I have accesss to, limits the amount of things I can do with it. The headphones? The biggest I've made with them is an extra large Rubik's Cube." He spaced his hands to indicate how big the extra large Rubik's Cube was. "You're a shapeshifter yeah? How does that work?" Nico asked, leaning against the hallway wall.
