"Boas ... think I can do that." Nico said and placed his cube on the floor. He placed his palm on it and concentrated, slowly squishing the cube as he did. When his palm, and incidentally the cube, reached the floor, he lifted his hand away to reveal a miniature hissing boa. "Not sure what kind of boas you're used to seeing, so I just did a generic boa. Except this boa is metallic silver and is powered by technology so its perfectly safe." Nico smiled and put a bit of the boa's tail in his pocket. He tapped it on its head and the boa shook itself as it came to life. Hissing slightly, it poked its forked tongue out and slithered towards Rikku. "Hope you like it." Nico then turned to check on Tora and found that she was awake. "Hey Tora. Welcome back to the land of the living!" Nico said to her.

"Nyah...sometimes that happens. One minute im dancing and the next I clock out standing straight up. Weird. Huh, cool snake!"

 

Rikku slipped her hand underneath the robotic snake and let it curl around her forearm"It's a baby compared to the ones I've seen but it's adorable. You have a wonderful gift, Nico."

Nico shrugged, thinking it wasn't a big deal. "No problem. Glad you like it Rikku. I'm glad to help out a friend and you can keep the snake if you want. I can always make another cube." Nico said, smiling. He took the piece of the snake's tail out lf his pocket and managed to enlarge to make it roughly the same size as the cube he had before. "You sleep in odd positions. And at odd times as well. Is that a hidden power or just something you do naturally?" Nico asked Tora curiously.

Luke smiled at Nico. "Thank you, Nico. That was very kind of you. And, if we were to keep up the pretense that we're still training right now, an excellent use of your powers." He looked over at Tora. "Please try to refrain from doing that during our lessons. I don't want to have to take any more time out of everyone's day than necessary for these things, but if you can't stay awake during training I'll have to keep you here for private lessons. Today you're off the hook though, since we didn't really do anything." He sighed and looked around at all of them. "You know what? We're done for today. I'd appreciate it if you guys would try to meditate some on your own, but I can't exactly force you. Rikku, just relax and try to adjust to the city. Nature does still have it's place here, even if it isn't as strong as what you're used to. Tora, please try to catch up on sleep outside of our training. Nico... good work, I guess. And Victor, I get the feeling you aren't really giving this your all. I'd appreciate it if you could try a it harder. Anyway, the four of you are free. I'm going to take a quick patrol of the neighborhood and then grab some lunch, if any of you care to join me."

 

 

Victor was actually rather jealous of Nico. Why couldn't he have done something to cheer up Rikku? At least she was feeling a little better. He listened to Luke before turning back to her. "What do you think? Do you want to go find a patch of nature to relax in, or should we go with him? I'll follow whatever you decide."

@@Alex Kennedy, Louise laid one hand on Seer's shoulder. She concentrated on restoring the strength to his bones so that they would be as they were before, and not broken. She was surprised to find how easy it was; harming others came easily to her as a rule, and helping them didn't. But not this time; the healing happened as easily as the harming had done.

Seer slowly got up and nodded to her. "I guess I should thank you. Not everyone in this city cares enough to undo the harm they've caused. I'm satisfied now that you can be trained. Both of you. But not yet. Not that, anyway. I'll give you a choice- either stay here and ask me any questions you might have, or go take the rest of the day off. I don't care, but know that tomorrow's training will be harder."

Gale smiled slightly and felt herself relax in Shadow's embrace. She liked being close to him and laid her head on his shoulder, her eyelids feeling heavy and her mind becoming drowsy. The teen then blushed slightly as she felt Shadow's hand on her back. "I could get used to this."She thought to herself. "I love you, Shadow."

I sat there and kept my smile, Maybe I could change for the better. I caught this thought and forced myself to remember the reason I never looked for a relationship since the day I killed my previous girlfriend I still could remember the horror in her eyes as I put a shadow blade in her gut. I kept this faceade for Gales benefit not my own.
