What is typical anime dialogue like?

Typical anime dialogue may (to my ideas) may involve: gasping, "ah"'s, spoken-out thoughts, and motivations.

Can you tell me your ideas of typical anime dialogue, and its characteristics? Also, please list down an example of "anime dialogue", and some ways to improve it.

Um, well I guess it would heavily depend upon the type.

I'm currently watching the new Sailor Moon crystals, and when I think sailor moon dialoge, its usually bad guys and good gals bickering, the sailor scouts doing their little catch phrases as they pose, and cuteness to it....Go Mercury!

Switch to deathnote and its becomes a flurry of "wtf did I just read/watch" and rewatching.

Just depends on what your watching

When most people think of anime they tend to think of Shonen "boys" (literally what the word means) anime but there are many different types of anime covering many different types of storylines and points of view so it is difficult to pinpoint exactly what "typical" anime dialogue actually is. A lot of Shonen anime has a great deal of action often taking martial arts themes (Dragon Ball franchise), fantasy or historical settings (One Piece, Roroni Kenishin, Naruto) Sci fi (Gundam franchise, Robotech) and a few others.

Shojo "girls" anime has some action as well but usually not as much as Shonen anime, magical girls are a common trope of many Shojo anime (Sailor Moon) but not all of them of course and there are plenty of them that have shall we say a lot of mushy stuff (Fushigi Yugi being the best example I can think of). There are ALOT of sports animes, most of them don't make it to the US but they exist for literally everything you can think of. There is even one about the Japanese board game Go which has many similarities to chess.

The rules about "mature" content in anime tend to be more lax so there are certain things in animes geared toward children that would never make it in cartoons geared toward children in the US but there are still some animes which are still geared toward an older audience and some good examples of this are Cowboy Bebop, Samurai X, and Crying Freeman.

In animes they say alot of :

"It can't be helped"

"Nani"

"im glad" (yokata!)

generally over dramatizing everything from sighs to surprised/shocked/smug expressions  etc

thats all I can think of...
