Poem one, musings.

 

"Musings of madmen, fall upon deaf ears

Free me from this prison, liberate me from this fear

 

The artist, the joker, the despondent smoker

The cold world shakes, seas of infinite madness shimmer

 

Exiled from society, disharmonious duality

Falling through the seams, fade into obscurity

Masked from the truth, bathe in familiarity

 

Insight, I see the other side

Crawling, screaming, writhing, intellectual genocide

As we hold on to the tatters of our broken pride."

Galaxies shifting, time progressing
Changing, ever moving, silently
Different paths, different directions
Sadness sweeps my recollections

Decaying inside, burnt out at 20
Festering, ruminating, stuck in delusion
Love, oh love, you were just an illusion?
So here I sit, within my womb, safe, where I belong

Drink to forget, drugs to numb the pain
Endless, fakeness, lightness fades away
Darkness is the only truth, surprise, surprise
And so I fall...

Cut the vein, bleed it out, there's something within me
Something which I fear more than fear
Dread more than dread, and it's waiting to be released
I pity the living, and envy the dead

I stare to the horizon, and join their legion
I'm better being gone instead.
