Trans, cross dressing and sexually ambiguous ponies?

Any thoughts on  transsexual/ crossdresser/ sexually ambiguous ponies? I don't like the typical model for the male ponies in MLP, personally, so I have a handful of OC's that are femstallions (or femfawns), I guess I would say. Think it would be a good idea if Hasbro slipped in a transgender pony, if it got a message across (because there are people in their target audience who can relate to that)

I really don't know if this would be a good idea; we haven't quite got past homosexuality yet let alone transgender; I think this would only serve to increase the stigma against the fandom. With regards to OCs; knock yourself out.

If they put a gay character into the show, they'd either do what Glee did and have the show rotate around that point and rehash it as if they know everyone will only watch one episode each. Or, they'll make a pony Leeron from Gurren Lagann. Or they'll have a generic/cool character, and suddenly reveal he's gay, not that it has any bearing on his personality.

N-no, not gay, although I would like them to cover that, eventually, because lessons. I'm talking just straight up crossdressing ponies, for the time being. Stallions that look like mares, or feel like a mare in a stallion's body, mares that look like stallions, and vice versa, MLP G4 is all about shaking up gender norms, anyway, with the Bronies on board, isn't it? This could touch on a lot of good points and still go out to Hasbro's target audience. (a lot of parents think their little boys should be playing with boys toys, or forbid them from wearing 'girl clothes' , and vice versa. Hasbro and DHX could cover some ground and get parents to open their eyes a little more with a transgender/ crossdressing, ect character interacting with the mane 6 and involving some kind of moral

Look at Diamond Tiara's parents. Look at every other parent pony in the show. And tell me how they spawned their kids without genitalia. =_=

Whether they show genitalia or not- in any show- you KNOW who's make and who's female, based on the design, how they're addressed by another character (by use of "he" or "she"), ect.) You don't need to draw genitals on ponies to get across who's male and female.

 

Hey. Guess what. There have been shows with males crossdressing. Ash, and James/ Meowth from Team Rocket, from Pokemon- also a kid's show. I think Aang, from Avatar, crossdressed, at some point. And I'm sure there's other characters out there, too. I'm not asking for Hasbro to backhand people with lessons of sexuality and stuff, right off the bat. But they sure as heck can ease into it. Examples: The Mane 6 go see a play, and love the main actor, who- upon talking to after the play ends, come to realize it's a mare, instead of a stallion, or vice-versa, though they look the opposite gender, and before the of the Mane 6, asks why, Twilight says it doesn't matter, or something to that extend, and they carry on conversation as normal.

I'm not sure that would be the best of ideas a lot of people seemed to act pretty negative a few years back about a mentally challenged pony I think the show should introduce a gay or lesbian pony first before going there but am I against the show having any of those? not at all

This is definitely in the category of "not going to happen", I personally wouldn't care but give it 20 years or so and things might be a bit different but as it now stands it would cause a shit storm that could very well get the entire show cancelled.

Because it is never stated in the show that they reproduce that way, you are just assuming due to your head canon and your perspective.

 

And if it doesn't matter why make an episode about it? Obviously if it is just a one off for a goal of the character then no one cares. You were explicitly talking about is combating gender roles via cross dressing, ie combating sexual stereotypes. No one has issue with a character dressing as the opposite sex to further a goal, but your OP was explicitly stating that you were referring to "going against gender norms". There is a show for that, and it was universally panned. So, guess what? If they did do it, then either it would be a background gag,in which case it doesn't matter, or it would be something a company would never do, and that is a up front politically charged message about it. You stated that you wanted a episode were it explicitly covers the social issues attached to cross dressing, that is never going to happen. The ensuing fallout would cause far to big a loss of revenue, and remember this is just a 22 minute commercial at the end of the day.

Anyway, on the sub-topic of non-visible gen hetalia (Purposefully misspelled to avoid any automatic censors), it is likely that the ponies are real actors payed by Hasbro, like in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and their parts are hidden from view post-production with the use of stage makeup, CGI, and skintight bodysuits. They are supposed to look cutely naked, not internet naked.
