Clockwork raised his eyebrow and looked up at the building.

 

"Oh, it seems that I have arrived! I must thank you for your assistance! As in the way of introductions, My name is Clockwork. I myself am an inventor firstly, and have patented several designs and weapons for various parties. Oh I'm sorry, but I didn't happen to catch your name, Mr..."

Void glanced over the horn and also realized he was mistaken too.

"Ah, so you are a Unicorn I also didn't know, heheh. I apologise for the confusion"

Void stated feeling a little embarrassed.

He then looked over at the other Changeling and wondered how she left her Hive?

"Well just saying it does feel better knowing there are other Changelings trying to live away from there Hive, Bubblegum"

Void then grinned happily towards them both.

 

(OOC: I'm just using these to mention dusk 'cause I have no laptop )

Bubblegum cheered greatly. "Hooray, we're now official acquaintances! Now I just gotta put my sleepy things somwhere and I'll have everything sorted!" Over the past 5 minutes things had gone great! She'd arrived on location, met some ponies and evenet a dog. Great start to anything really.

"Oh, I say we go chat with other ponies now. 'Cause then, we'd have made many friends!"

"Gearhart," Gearhart replied, "So you are an inventor as well? This is perfect! Now I can finally get some help on these wings," he said extending his mechanical wings. "I have been doing a lot automail research when my house had burned down, taking my wings with them. I had made these to help others with similar problems. What do you think?"

"Hmm? Could I perhaps take a closer inspection of those at a later date? The workmanship is remarkable!"

 

The stallion stood up on his back hooves, weirdly settling his weight in a bipedal stance. A small spurt of steam sputtered out from his spine, and there were several distinct 'clicks.' He moved a hoof under one of the mechanical wings, lightly testing the dexterity of the joints.

 

"Simply remarkable~"

Shadowknight finally decided that it might seem rude if he took too long to come to the apartment. He didn't want to intrude on these two inventor ponies conversation though. He knew it had to be one or the other.

 

Shadowknight walked forward, making sure his cloak still covered him. He spoke up to the two inventors. "Excuse me, is this Riley's apartment?" He asked. Though he already knew, he thought that asking that question sounded better then asking them to move out of the way.

"I can give you the blueprints if you want to collaborate," Gear had replied. He had seen the cloaked figure and looked at him, "Oh, yes this is Riley's apartment, sorry for getting in your way." He said, moving away from the door. "So I assume that you saw the ad as well?"

Riley was pleased at the inpour of roommates. "Anyone want to play some video games?" he announced, switching on his Super Neightendo Entertainment System. He sat down in the butt-groove that had been molded into the couch, and grabbed a controller.

Void quite comically looked at his holed hooves and then looked at his horn and giggled.

"I nearly forgot I had magic there can't really use my hooves properly, I'll join in on the gaming"

Void then buzzed over and grabbed a controller with his magic as he sat on one of the couch arm's.

"I forgot to thank you Riley and Anala for letting me stay" He said as he grinned showing most of his large fangs without noticing"

"You're very welcome, Crawly," said Riley. "It's just so awesome to have guests round and make new friends!"

 

"And you should just be thanking Riley, no need to include me in the equation," said Anala. "I don't live here. I'm just the first pony he asked to be a roomie."

Void looked a little confused then smirked.

"As far as I saw you were helping so I can still thank you for that, Anala" He said with smile and then turned to Riley again with his horn glowing a dull light

"Do you mind if I practice my Transformation magic around here, I am trying to change into other creatures other than ponies, in fact I am attempting to turn into a adult Dragon using my Skilled Transformation magic, obviously if I am trying to change into a large animal I will go outside"

Once he said this he turned into a Cragadile and back into his Changeling form with ease

"Not to show off but I am one of a few Changelings with the ability to turn into things other than Ponies"

He said with a smug smile.

Needless to say, Riley and Anala were suitably impressed with Void Crawler's special abilities. It wasn't every day that younmet a Changeling, but to see one with abilities as awesome as this was amazing! "Awesome muffins!" said Riley. "Sooo... can you transform into inanimate objects?" he asked.

Void grinned and then looked surprised as he has never thought of this.

"To be honest I have never tried, now you have said this I need to add this to my list of what I need to attempt to turn into, wait if I did turn into a Muffin, would you eat me?" He said with a laugh and smirked

He then realized he dropped the controller.

Riley laughed at Void's question. "No way, man!" he answered. He then looked down at the dropped controller on the floor. He picked it up and held it in front of him as he got an idea.

 

"Why don't you turn into a SNES controller?" he suggested. "Would you be okay with it if I used you in controller form?"

"You know crawly, if you wouldn't mind, could I design a new type of wing for changelings? It would be very helpful for my studies." gear had said to night crawler. "If this study turns out well, then your wings will be much stronger than in there current state."

Aces decided that heard enough of the conversation and walked outside to escape the lunacy of it all. "Usin' another pony as a controller....that's jus' wrong", he said before hearing the wing experiment request from Gear to the changeling. "Okay...manehatten is officially loontown".

Void looked at Riley then laughed but realized this could be a step forward in his magic.

"Heheh, Yeah I can try, just tell me when you need me to Transform into a extra Controller, friend"

He then turned to Gearhart and was quite intrigued

"Well, okay then, this could be interesting, just tell me when you want to study my Insectoid wings" 

Void stated as he smiled towards Gearhart.

"Sweet!' he said as he clapped his hands together, "Clockwork, do you want to help me with designing these wings?" Gearhart said, looking over in Clockwork's direction. "I have a great place we can design them at as well. It's not the best workshop, but it will serve well for our purposes."

"So you think you two could really improve my wings?"

Void starts to look sceptical then smiles again, once you need me just ask me, I will come running, friends. 

Void turns back to Riley and attempts to turn into a controller for him.

"You bet we can," Gear replied, "Arn't changelings wings fragile? I'd assume that since they have simmalar qualitys to bug wings that they 'd snap in half when the touch anything." Gear already was thinking of his options. He had no idea how it would change with him, but he would attempt to find out when he dissected his wings.

"I suppose that it could be done Void, but I think that Gear and I would have to work on the designs quite a bit if we were to pull it off.

 

Gear, did I hear you mention something about a place where we could work on stuff like this? I am most intrigued to exchange ideas~"

"Yes, there is a place a little ways down the road that I got. It isn't too much, a bunch of tools and tables, but it did manage to make these wings so it's got to be something. do you want to go down there before we begin? Or do you think that you can adapt to it quickly?"

Void suddenly looked confident

"I think I can adapt to it. After all I am a Changeling, adapting to my surroundings is my speciality" As he said this he looked quite smug but then realizing how delicate his wings actually are.

"If this don't work then will my wings be permanently damaged?" Void said quickly loosing his smug smile and replacing it with a straight face.

"In a way. If I take off your wings and study them then you will have to live without them for some time. But even if we can't make wings that can change, then we can just give you wings of this style, or if you want while you wait, we can give you these wings right now."

"Thank you and yes, I saw the ad." Shadowknight replied to Gearheart. He moved to the door to RIley's apartment and gave a knock with one black hoof. He waited patiently as some small wisps of shadow curled out from under his cloak. He was still hidden underneath it and hoped that it wouldn't frighten Riley. Though the very reason he wore the cloak was not to frighten others.
