Three identical videos in a row doesn't take up that much space, but space is still space. Maybe you could consider to put it in a spoiler next time if it already have been posted?

Hi everypony! I'm Sight Watcher and I'm a writer who has just now gone full swing into the community. I have one pony related fic finished at this time on my FiMFiction account, and take great pleasure in watching this thriving community.

You have Gilda as your avatar! :D

Yeah, Gilda's a major character in my fanfic, but most people hate her, so this is exciting...

So I just saw your fimfic, and your #1 movie is 2001? I...

I...

Yeah, I'm big into aerospace, and 2001 did a great job with the aerospace :P

In the extremely unlikely event that you need one, EASA Dr. Braun may be used as a floatation device science consultant for your fiction; especially aerospace. Though you appear to have an impressive knowledge of weather dynamics, in what tiny bit I've read so far.

Thanks! And I love 2001 A Space Odyssey. Aerospace in 2001- first movie where actual aerospace engineers were hired to design ships and consult on physics

I am no aerospace expert so help would be much appreciated! I've been getting by thus far on what I know but for later chapters I'm going to have to learn more! Great to make your acquaintance :)

Hah, I'd love to spill the beans on what I know, but only if you could manage a long discourse on astral dynamics and aerospace engineering :P

It really helps if I can do it to a specific objective, though. If you want to know everything I do, then you can just say; I wanna know how to build rockets :P

But the best place to start, is the same place I started, Atomic Rockets/Project Rho: http://www.projectrho.com/rocket/

When it comes to astral dynamics, my favorite thing is Orbiter, a free spaceflight sim made by a Ph.d that uses the same mathematics that NASA uses for their sims, it's some pretty accurate stuff when it comes to the dynamics of spaceflight; http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/

(If you're into flight sims, I highly recommend it, and getting the "Delta-Glider IV" and "Shuttle Fleet" addons, there's also addons to make the Earth and other graphics better, one of them "Atmos" makes the atmosphere quiet beautifully realistic looking.)

The spacecraft aren't very realistic, though, they're really made more for playing around in space than realism (they're impossibly fuel efficient). Except, of course, for the Space Shuttle, that's pretty realistic :P Some addons are really realistic, too, just depends on what you get.

The wiki article is also pretty decent, though it assumes you know a lot of math and such; http://en.wikipedia....i/Astrodynamics Posted Image

Back to spacecraft engineering;

And, for the more technically inclined, NASA has some very nice but technical documents called the Shuttle Reference Manual:

http://spaceflight.n...erence/shutref/

And, yeah, Wiki is always your friend, it's got great resources on the Space Shuttle, Orbital Mechanics, and every rocket and spacecraft ever flown, the Redstones, V-2's, Atlas and Titan rockets, etc. etc. then the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Soyuz spacecraft, etc. etc.

... Erm... is it normal to gallop into a topic to find a dancing cat...?

It's pretty unusual. But it's also pretty unusual to gallop into a thread to find a discourse on orbital dynamics and astronautical engineering :P
