The image here got me thinking in a scenario, like if Chrysalis found Twilight as a filly and witnessed her magical power, and she turned her into a changeling and Twilight was raised by Chrysalis in the bad lands. Chrysalis isn't bad, she's just trying to feed her species, and their food just so happens to be our main characters' species, so they're depicted as bad. We barely knew Chrysalis as a character in CW so its hard to tell considering we dont really get to know her as a character rather than a big bad guy(girl). There is a possibility that Chrysalis could do that, in an alternate universe but if she is the mother of all the changelings she doesnt really treat them more than a means to an end. If she's willing to infiltrate Canterlot and single handidly crash a wedding, weaken a massive force field enough for her waiting troops to break in, and take down the PONY GOD to feed her children, she's more than capable of raising a child like Twilight (I guess the Hive itself is like 3000+ children already. What's one more?). I honestly don't think it'd be below her at all. We only saw her as wicked because we were watching her from the Equestrian POV during an invasion of their capitol. The current Twilight raised by Celestia and also Twilight's Mom and Twilight's Dad is a way better Twilight. Plus she could kick Changeling Twilight's butt. Chrysalis: Look in front of you, Twilight. Everything the light touches... is our food. Changeling!Twilight: I don't give a darn, darn it! I just see a bunch of stupid ponies to eat completely, to put them out of my misery. Chrysalis: But if you eat them all, there won't be any food left for the hive, or for you the next day! Changeling!Twilight: Good! They won't annoy me any more. She would teach Twilight how to rule a empire, except it's not one of ponies. Hey at least Chrysalis would give Twilight title of Queen in the future, unlike Celestia who made her a princess.
