I wouldn't because then we never would've gotten Sunset Shimmer or SciTwi who actually really grew on me in the end. I think the music is really good even if I couldn't stand the clunky look of their legs in the first few movies with the leg warmers. It started to find it's feet and I think it had something going for it in the end. I will always pick canon ponies over people but that's not to say that I don't think EG was a concept worth exploring. The music was great and Sunset Shimmer is worth the watch IMO.

I'm glad it happened. Mane 6 magical girls aren't what I expected when I first discovered FiM but I think it was a fun concept. I liked the movies. I liked the specials. The shorts were fun at times but I was never really excited about them.

I just wish there was more crossover with the main series. The Mane 7 visited Equestria, Sunset reconciled with Princess Celestia, and Starlight visited the EG world, but it would've been cool for the Mane 7 to appear in an FiM episode.

Equestria Girls is actually the reason I became a brony so I’m actually glad it happened. If anything, I just wish Fluttershy had gotten her own special since she was the only member of the Rainbooms to not get one.

I would have become bored of Friendship is Magic a lot sooner if I didn't have Equestria Girls to give me a change of scenery. 

I love the ponies and slice of life but I liked seeing the characters dealing with different-ish problems in a new setting. 

I just wish we got to see them graduate.😢

I feel like Equestria Girls was bound to happen at some point in the franchise, and I don't see it as a bad thing. A lot of the gripes I see people have online are that stuff like this is a cash grab or whatever, and even if they are, it's because it works. People love the MLP characters, so make them more relatable as teenagers in high school. but I also think they did it in a more interesting way and expanded on it greatly, like it being a different dimension was a good choice IMO, while also doing creative parallels like Twilight coming from Canterlot in the pony world and Sci-Twi coming from a different school in the human world and both meeting and becoming friends with the same group of ponies/people lol. i also feel like it's a way to have more relaxed and realistic content from these characters (even if magic is still a thing), it's still a bit more grounded because they're having more human experiences

Nah. I'm glad EQG exists, all the movies after the first one were good and the specials that I've watched have been pretty good a well. Shame it never got a proper send off but Hasbro seems to have a habit of doing that.

i prefer the ponys. i became a fan when the show started(heck, i was a fan around g3) i grew up with very creative sisters so they already made EQ even before it was a thing! xD so i was already used to human mlp. the first movie was great, i have so much nostalgia for it. i don't care for EQ afterwards though.. they milked the heck out of it to where it meant nothing(like mlp now!)

Definitely not, a lot of people like it, me included, I really like that official human versions of the characters exist, I like how they look and a lot of people do. They don't scrap the ones the fans created, and make other fans want to draw them or make new designs inspired by them, so a lot of good fanart came from them. Only saw benefits from its existence.

The only bad thing I could say about Equestria Girls is something I'm not really sure if it's true or not, which is that it made Season 3 of FiM shorter, for me that season deserved to have the same length as all the other seasons. But again, I don't know if it's true or not, I can only find rumors about the possible reason for it, and the most prominent one is that they really made Season 3 half of a season only to have time to work on EQG Movie 1 and the planning for all its related products ~☆
