gaming Thoughts on Paid PS Plus for PS4

once a company finds out its competitor is making money off of trivial things, it'll do all it can to follow the same path. PS+ is just sony fallen under the corporate greed that makes their userbase pay to play games online. "well xbox did, so why can't we?"

You don't have to pay for PS Plus. You can get along just fine without it, though on the PS4 you do need it for multiplayer. That being said, XBL has been $50 a year and they didn't start giving out games until July of last year in order to better compete with Plus. With PS Plus you get free games each month for PS3, PS4 and Vita.

It helps them gain money so they can keep their servers more secure, I think. Either way, its not a big deal, and you get free games out of it, so why not pay $50(?) bucks a year?

One of the best things about the PS3 was being able to play online with no additional fees. And Sony just had to butcher that with the PS4.
