MLP Forums trolling and spam.

I understand that when you create the thread you may think it's funny. It may be funny, but this spam and trolling needs to stop. All of these pointless threads will be removed anyways, so why post them? I do not want to see any of you guys get banned for these either. These may seem funny because of the April Fool's day on the forums, but they will most likely be removed as they have no purpose.

 

Heres an example of a few:

-Art with no actual art, or poorly draw with a sense of sarcasm

-Hate against the brony community through sarcasm

-Literally threads with about two words in the OC

 

I would appreciate it if everyone would stop making these. It may seem funny at the time, but it really isn't. I mainly made this so that my fellow members do not get banned. If you continue to make these threads though, it could become a possibility. So please, for the sake of the Moderators, fellow members, Feld0, and yourself. Stop spamming/trolling.

Everyone listen. This is serious. Don't just treat it like some silly thing. April fools isn't an invitation to be a troll and break rules. Although trolling is aloud to an extent it shouldn't be to the point of breaking rules. I feel that dragonshy has an excellent point. There are many threads around that should be deleted for spam and other trollings, even if its sarcastic. Some people can't handle and accept sarcasm as well as others.

 

April fools is not a chance for you to get your post count up.

Yes, some of us went over the top with our spam/troll threads however there was still a portion of us that refused to give into the urges (I'm not one of them so I can't exactly voice them). The mods made a brilliant April Fools day ...prank?, not sure if that's the right word, and quite a lot of us lost our minds.

 

Then again, if it hadn't been for these sort of reactions, I would have seriously been lacking in my daily Bellsprout thrust nutrients. Chaos erupted from chaos, the mods changed the forum (which is epic and I have no fault against) so we reacted in the same sort of way, quite a few of us wanting to get in on the April Fools action or just wanting an excuse to troll.

 

I, personally, loved every second of this April Fools trolling-fest because for me it was just so much fun to see peoples reactions to ludicrous threads. I can understand how the mods are gonna be mighty pissed when they see the amount of spam threads but, honestly, the forum is rarely ever left un-mod guarded. If the mods had a major fault with this, they may have sprung into action quicker. That isn't to say that the mods wont delete all these spam threads (Cause they will) but its just the fact that it was for a bit of fun.

 

Yeah, I spammed a bit and for that I am sorry but the idea of April Fools day was to joke and troll people. We got out of hand but then again with a community as big as ours, this was inevitable. We are only humans after all, our basic need to troll the living crap outta people just can't be contained.

I think I agree with you for the most part, but I think that it needs to stop at some point. It got way out of hand.

At first i was fairly relaxed and was in fact enjoying it, but once the spam threads began popping up it started to go too far in my eyes.

The staff is smart enough to assume that some wackiness was going to ensue by going through with all the Portal references and changing the board. For today I would tend to bet they don't mind. We'll clean up when it's 11:59 PM and we can help by going back and flagging the super spammy topics.
