Radiance64 7,053 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 I thought Nightmare Before Christmas was wonderful, but I don't much care for his other movies, particularly Sweeny Todd, which I really didn't like. My sister is a pretty big fan of him though...

Warbalist 133 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 Dude, it's all about Edward Scissorhands. If you like dark aesthetics, or are an outcast of any kind, you simply must watch the movie. Besides, it's Danny Elfman's best work, in my opinion. Trust me not, do you? Beware, the movie may make you cry, but only once the credits start rolling...excuse me...something in my eye.... Never saw Coraline but I know it was based off of Neil Gaiman's novel and written by Henry Selick. As you said, Tim Burton had nothing to do with this at all. Tim Burton is a genius. I thought Coraline was wonderful. It held fairly true to the spirit of the book. Why are we even talking about this on a Tim Burton topic? Oh yes, I know, because Neil Gaiman is a genius and we should all go re-read American Gods right now. 1 http://www.youtube.com/user/warbalist
The Media Brony 50 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 He's a great director and extremely creative. Once you get past the creepiness of his atmospheric style of cinematography, you get to see the brilliance in his artist abilities. One of the best directors in the current film industry.
Fire_Fly 499 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 I've been a MAJOR fan of Tim Burton since The Nightmare Before Christmas. He's got a charmingly dark and abstract imagination that you just don't see much anymore, and he has a history of appealing to all ages, when others fail at it. After all, the classic Alice in Wonderland animated movie was a bright and colorful world that appealed mostly to kids, but Tim Burton transformed it into something edgy and enjoyable for just about every age group. 1 I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....
