After the most successful fundraising campaign in MLP Forums history, and exceeding our goal, it's time to start turning our attention to the rest of the promised events and festivities, starting with giving away some electron swag.

 

This Friday December 19th at 6:00 PM EST we will begin showing a movie (TDB on Equestria.tv). During the intermission between the 1st and 2nd movie the winners of the steam games will be announced! Also we will select four of the 'Staff Name Change' winners at that time.

 

For every $5 donated (or mailed request) you will be entered into the three separate giveaways that we are holding, with the winners announced LIVE on Equestria.tv Movie Night. The steam game giveaway is the first event.

 

If you attend the stream, we will draw the winner and you will have the opportunity to select a game from the available options. You will need to send me a friend request on Steam so I can send the game over as a 'gift'. See my profile. If you do not attend you will still win a game and you will be contacted in the order you were drawn to pick from the available pool.

There are technically four drawings. A Steam drawing, a art commission drawing, a mech drawing, and some stretch goal related ones which will bee drawn over the three events.

 

Name will be drawn. If you are present when drawn you can pick a game from the list. If not present you will still receive a game, but you do need Steam, yes.

 

Since the games are sitting as gift purchases in my Steam inventory ... yes you need a Steam account for me to actually get them to the person and for then to receive the game.

Yes, to get a Steam game you need Steam. To be eligible you needed to donate at least $5 (Or sent in a formal request to be added via mail as was instructed during the fundraiser.)

 

Obviously you don't need Steam for an artist to art you up a Pony, or to get MLP Merch, or change a staffers name, etc. You did need to meet the eligibility criteria though (donate or mail request)

Wow, it's great that you exceeded your goal for the fundraiser! Money for the site doesn't grow on trees. I'll try to arrive at the movie this Friday, as I think I can make it, but it just depends on what your playing. Did you pick something to play yet?

You are right in that money doesn't grow on trees (unless you own an orchard in Sweet Apple Acres), but this fundraiser wasn't for the site. It was for sick kids.
