Twi noticed the Ratata and chased after it. "Get away from my berry tree you squeaking bastard!" She yelled, effectively scaring it off before it took the berry. She didn't care much about her word choice, doing whatever it took to scare away the ratata.

maybe how's a good time to plant that tree again. Freckle thought to himself. It seemed rather smart. That way, there would be more berries later. Walking over to the tree, Freckled plucked the last berry off. As usual the tree withered away, leaving a small patch of dirt. Freckle then placed the berry in the where the tree once was, and a small sprout popped up!

"Hey." Freckle called. "So will there be more berries now or what?"

"Give them time and they'll grow back... Of course I'll have to check on them sometimes." Twi said. She walked up to the one she planted earlier. It had started growing, but it wasn't anywhere near full size yet so it didn't have any berries on it. Oh I really hope this little one grows fast... I can't last long without my berries. She thought.

"Alright, we will spar...uh..." Sandual looked around, "Over there" he said, as he pointed to an open area. He started to walk to the area, and he readied himself for the fight. "Uhh, you can go first," he said. He isn't very fast, so he thought he should get used to going second.

Storm shrugged, "If you're sure..." He said, walking over to stand at the other end of the area. "Alrighty, first one to yield or be knocked out loses. Sound good?" He asked, "And... Um.. Pandora? Sylva? Do one of you wanna referee? or I guess just watch the match and make sure things don't go too far or something...." Storm suggested. "Alrighty, I'll started off." He said.

 

Storm used Quick Attack to close in on Sandual and once he got close enough quickly used Cross Chop. "Hiya!" He cried out as he attempted to use Cross Chop on Sandual.

"Oooohhhh. That makes sense!" Freckle replied. How could he not know that? That was really obvious. He suddenly remembered that he hadn't eaten all the berries yet, and that there were a few left. He quickly went over to get them.

"Hey do you want a berry? There are a few left here."

"Just save them for now, it might be awhile before the tree grows back." Twi said. She sat by where the berries were growing, making sure no more Pokemon tried to come and take her berries. Next time I have to replant these I'm moving them to a new spot... Somewhere with less Ratatas. She thought.

"Are you sure you don't want a berry? Because they look really good!" Freckle teased. The berries did look really good. Almost good enough to eat, right now. Just a nibble wouldn't hurt, right? Surely he could.

no,no. Don't eat them. You can wait. After all, you're not THAT hungry! Freckle thought to himself, making sure not to eat them.

"So why are you looking after these trees in particular?" Freckle asked, coming over to sit nearby with the berries in hand.

Before he was hit by the Cross-Chop, he used Defense Curl and curled into a ball. Although, he was still hurt by the attack. That's gonna bruise... he thought to himself. As he uncurled, in retaliation, he ran towards the Riolu and attempted a Tackle attack.

"Well I've seen some pretty crazy things happen while I've been taking care of these trees, they could run away." Twi said jokingly, smiling a bit. "Anyway, onto the story. When I first started living on my own, I had trouble finding things to eat with all the bigger and meaner Pokemon taking berries from me whenever I managed to find them. One day, I found a sitrus tree that no other Pokemon seemed to be taking from. I picked a berry from it and planted it in a secret location. Since then I've been replanting these trees in places where I know no big Pokemon will take them away from me." She explained.

Storm was hit by the Tackle, but quickly recovered. Landing a small distance away, he used Vacuum Wave to send destructive Vacuum(Air?) waves hurtling towards Sandual. He chased the waved to prepare a follow-up attack, as he got closer Storm prepared to use Cross Chop again.

As the waves charged towards Sandual, he attempted to evade, but was hit. "Gah..." he grunted quietly. He quickly got up to his feet and waited for the next attack, holding a defensive position as he readied himself for the next attack to come towards him.

Storm abandoned the Cross Chop at the last second, switching to a Quick Attack to dash around and behind Sandual before attempting another Cross Chop to his back. "Hiya!" He cried out as he used the move again. "Well, He's certainly got good endurance so far.." Storm mused during the attack.

He gets ready for the Quick Attack that he remembers he did from his attack last time. As he comes close to him, he quickly turns to him and uses Sand-Attack. He is then hit by the cross chop directly, and is nearly done. He quickly retaliates and Tackles him.

"ack!" Storm yelped as he was caught off guard by the Sand-Attack and the follow up Tackle, having been caught unawares, he was hit by both. "You're pretty good Sandual!" He happily told the Ground-type. Storm fired a few Vacuum Waves towards Sandual before quickly using Quick Attack to get some extra speed and ran up a tree, using it as a platform to jump higher into the air.

As Storm came down towards Sandual he knew that neither of them was likely to last too much longer so he prepared another Cross Chop, putting extra power into it so as to end this spar. He came down ready to hit Sandual with the over-charged Cross Chop.

The moment Storm fired the Vacuum waves, he curled up and rolled to evade them by a hair. He looked up and saw the Riolu come down. "Uh...Cr-" he was interrupted by the Chop and was ultimately defeated. He called out in a weak voice: "Anyone have a white flag?" He lied on the ground, panting.

Storm chuckled, "Nope, sorry.. I think I forgot it at the last town that I was at before running from trainers..." He informed Sandual with plenty of amusement lacing his tone. "Want some help up?" Storm asked, holding out a paw to help the Ground-Type off the ground. "That was a great spar! You fought well, and I'm sure you're a bit tired so I have a few berries here if you want..." He said, offering Sandual a few Sitrus berries while eating a particularly curved Mago berry.

He took the paw and stood up. "Thanks," he said after taking the Sitrus berry. While he was eating it he noticed the berry Storm was eating. "Where'd you get that? The Whatever-berry?" He said, "Did you take it from my basket?" He finished off the berry and sighed with comfort.

Storm tilted his head, "Basket? No, I'm not a thief... I grabbed it from my sack." He answered, holding up the sack of berries that he had left in a tree's knothole. "I kept it hidden nearby, can't be too careful with all the Rattata in this Forest...." Storm chuckled, "This is a Mago berry, they supposedly restore health and vitality... And the more curved they are, the sweeter they taste!" He informed Sandual with a smile, "And this one is really really sweet! I've been saving it for a special occasion, and I think new friends is a great reason to celebrate!"

Sandual went to his basket and picked out a Mago berry and headed back to Storm. "Hear, hear" he said as he bit into his own berry. "I don't think it restores vitality nearly like a Sitrus or Oran does, but it sure is delicious!" he bit into the Mago and it calmed him from the heart pumping rush of a battle.

Sylva says, "Wow, guess you didn't notice my hug. Oh well. So you like sweets too?"

 

Sylva wasn't to happy about being ignored by the new pokemon and started to go off to hunt some more. She thought (He must be forgetful or something but I think we may become friends later. Now to find another battle and train.)

Storm laughed "True.." He agreed, before jumping up into the trees. "New friends, berries, fights, hugs... A great day... Wait! I forgot to give that sylveon another hug!" Storm realized, after thinking over the day so far. So he quickly ran in the direction that he saw Sylva go.
After a couple minutes of tree hopping, he saw Sylva. "Hey, Sylva!" He exclaimed, jumping down to stand next to her. "Sorry, I think I forgot to give you a hug.. Or did I? Hmmm... My memory can be weird sometimes, sorry..." Storm apologized, rubbing a paw against his neck sheepishly. "Hey, you want a berry?" He asked, holding out a Mago berry with a friendly smile.

Freckle listened to the story with full attention, even if it may not have seemed like it. He was always told that he seemed to focus too much and that he had a tendency to let his view wander to his surrounding, but in reality he was keeping tabs on everything. Always trying his best to be as aware as possible.

"Did you say it was when you started living alone? Well what was it like before? Did you have a friend before?" He asked as he tried to seem focused.

"I lived with my parents for awhile... I don't know what happened, but one day I decided it was best for me to go off on my own. They told me I can come back whenever I want, but I don't think I should go back until I'm strong enough to make them proud of me." She explained.
