Novel sighs and turns to Seth "I could have gotten it myself you know" she says to him, climbing down off the stool. Novel looks at the book and grins, "my old friend. Tucked away for years and years, now it is time for you to be opened once more" she dusts it off, coughing

Seth blinked. "I-I'm sorry. I was just trying to help," he said, his ears a bit low.

 

Lunar smiled, leaning on him again, continuing to read.

 

Midnight stirred a bit, rolling over.

 

Luna went in and told Celestia what she was doing, then quickly walked down the hall and out the castle doors.

She sighs "you were not supposed to see this book is all. But since you have seen it here" Novel says, handing the book to Seth. "It is the history of Celestia's and Luna's royal guards. It was going to be a gift" she says softly, looking away and feeling bad for scolding him

Leif began to mess with the flowers he got board and began to make a bunch bloom around his as he arranged them neatly

Grell woke up because he was a very light sleeper he smiled seeing midnight asleep he closed his eyes and drifted off

Steel was reading

Seth blinked, taking the book. "O-oh..." He looked at the book, smiling as his ears perked up. He hugged her and kissed her softly. "Thank you, sweetie. I love it," he said, holding her close.

 

Lunar began to doze off, still leaning on him.

 

Midnight's face scrunched up as she mumbled something.

 

Luna opened her wings, sighing. She hoped Flair wouldn't be mad or upset for her leaving suddenly. "Maybe I should at least go tell him bye..." she said, heading back into the castle. She knew it would take her no time at all to get to where Lief is. All she would have to do is teleport a few yards away then fly the rest of the way. She had time to tell her son bye real quick.

Chronos was eating when Luna came in and left. He swallowed the food he was chewing and continued to think if the plan was going to work. They would need everypony they could get if it was going to work so Lunar would be an important pony in the group, mostly because she was an alicorn and the fact they were going up against Sombra, they would need her.

Steel was deep in the books he was writing a lot and sighed as he ran out of ink "hey novel do you have any spare ink" steel called to her hoping she did

Grell had fallen back asleep and was having the night mare again but this time he was able to sleep thorough it

Leif was still messing with flowers

Novel nuzzled Seth "sorry I snappped" she says softly. Her ears twitch at the sound and she walks towards it. Smiling softly at Steel and Lunar she nods. "I've got tons. What kind do you need and what color?" She asks, peeking at what they are reading. Good choices

Steel looked from his reading "standard black will do just fine" steel said he had several books open all of them where open to pages about demons and curses and his scroll had a lot of notes including passages from the books page references as well as thoughts in a second scroll he was writing corrections down with what book page and line needed to be corrected

She peeks at his writing "might I ask what you're studying? I pray it is for good and not evil or I might need to take action against black magic" novel says calmly. She is interested in his corrections and sighs "if my information is wrong feel free to write in the books, just don't cross thing out. Write beneath it"

Lunar fell asleep on Steel, the book still in her lap.

 

Midnight stirred more, her heart racing. She looked like she was starting to hyperventilate.

 

Luna walked back into the dining room, looking at Flair. She saw he was mindlessly eating. Probably didn't even notice when she was in there a few minutes ago. She walked up to him and nudged his shoulder with her muzzle. "Flair?"

 

Celestia blinked, looking up. She smiled, finishing eat. She drank the rest of her drink, then looked at Chronos.

He jumped then he looked at her with a smile, "Yes mother?" He asked as he nuzzles her back. He was already finished eating by this point as he stretched his wings. "Whats up?" He continues as he chuckles, he knows his mother never randomly walks up to him unless hes in trouble or she needs something.

Luna sighed, looking at him. "I'm going to be leaving for a while. I need to help somepony get refugees out of the Crystal Empire," she explained, hoping he won't demand to go with her. She knows how he usually gets when she leaves after he's finally come back home.

"Mother, let me come with you" He says as he smiles, "i can finally spend some time with you this way" He says as he chuckles, "You know i can handle myself" he continues hoping she would say yes its been so long since he was able to spend some alone time with his mother

Steel nodded "remeber back when we first met and I told you I was cursed well I've studied the topic extensively but you have a few books I haven't seen yet and alright I will"steel said

Grell woke up and nuzzled her

Leif was still messing with the flowers

Novel pauses and nods "Well alright, it seems to be of good intent. And there are plenty more around. If you are looking for information on curses and breaking them I have more in my study. There are some that I cannot let you have though, dark magic things and can turn ugly if in the hands of a bad pony. I do trust you but I will have to give you the books myself." She looks back "I will return with ink and a few books" she says and trots off

Chronos finished eating and took his helmet and put it back on. He looked to Celestia who was looking at him. He smiled at her, and looked down at his hooves. He silently sighed and looked up, he was thinking about his son and about how he woke up in the middle of the night last night.

Celestia noticed his worry. "Worrying about Jr again...?" she asked with a sad smile.

 

Luna thought for a moment. "I...I don't know. He's not too fond of strangers from what I can tell..." She looked at him. "I'll tell you what. If you stay here, when I come back, we will spend the whole day together," she said, smiling. "And Auntie Tia can keep you company while mother is gone." She nuzzled him.

 

Lunar was peacefully sleeping away.

 

Midnight screamed, her eyes shooting up. She sat straight up, her breathe rapid and ragged.

 

Seth followed her, smiling. He loved having somepony to call his; especially somepony as beautiful and intelligent as Novel.

He smiles, "deal but on one condition have aunt Tia spend a little time with me" he chuckles as he nuzzles her and kisses her forehead "have a safe trip mother I love you" he says with a smile as he stands up on all four hooves. "Who knows bring me back a marefriend" he jokes chuckling

"uhh.. yeah, I keep thinking about what would happen if I didn't come back from the battle, what will happen to Jr." He sighed. He would have jumped off a cliff if Celestia asked him to without a thought. But now that he was a father, the thought of his son possibly becoming an orphan always haunted him.

Steel nodded "that's alright and thanks" steel sakd he wishes he could use the Magic the curse caused him to have inside him -if only I could tap into that magic then I'd be even stronbef and in control of this curse- steel thought

 

Grell pulled her close shushing her and stroking her mane

Luna giggled, kissing his cheek. "I will try my best. I love you, too, Flair," she kissing his cheek one more time, then walked out.

 

Celestia frowned, looking down. "I...I wish I knew how you felt... Flair is the closest thing to a filly I have..." She looked up at Flair. "But I do know that if anything ever happened to him, I don't know what I'd do..."

 

Lunar stirred a bit, nuzzling his shoulder in her sleep.

 

Midnight slowly calmed down, clinging to him.

He waves his mother goodbye with a big wave chuckling, he knew his mother would pull random trips but he knew she would always return safely as he then trots over to aunt tia, "Hiiii aunty" He says with a smile, as he hugs her, "What are you up to on this fine day?"

Novel runs off to find her ink. Where did she put it? The kitchen? She does have storage there. Most likely she kept it in her room? She does not really remember. So, she runs around the house searching. Of course it was in her study room (where it should be kept) and she also pulls three books off the shelves to bring to Steel. She returns to him with a light smile and a quiet voice "Here you are"

Steel grabs then opening them all and putting them around him "thank you" steel said as he began correcting some books and continuing his writing

Grell held her "you did better this time midnight" grell said nuzzling her

Leif was still messing with flowers
