gaming How do you make your gaming experience more fun?

It depends on the game. For instance, on World of Tanks for 360, when I'm playing with a friend if both the teams are having a shootout over a large open space I'll make my tank turn to my friend before saying "Let's do this".

 

Then we both go to game chat and yell "LEERROOYYY JJEEENNNKKKIIINNSSS" and charge across the field. I kid you not almost every shot ricochets and we usually hit and damage everything we aim at, regardless of stats or level.

 

I'm also a fan of modding, whether the game supports it or not. On Dark Souls for instance, I usually give my character the Black Iron armor set as well as the Black Knight Great Axe or Great Sword, 4,000 hp and become a member of the Cat Covenant. Then I start invading people and pretend to some sort of boss. Unless the guy I invaded is some sort of no-clipping back-stabbing lagging PRICK.

 

Generally I enjoy playing with friends and mods.

I take it a step further and go after one person and see how many in the server laugh. They get the joke after few minutes, but i do apologize to the one i use for it.

Sometimes I like to mute my TV and just listen to music on my iPod and sometimes I like to cuddle my Luna plush while I play, it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. :3

 

Also, I tend to like sitting on the floor more than in a chair, but my TV is so high up it produces a black-glare to it, I know there are TV's that don't have glare but I like to say "If it's not broke don't replace it."

I used Action Replay on New Super Mario Bros. for the DS.  I remember two codes specifically that were fun: 1) unlimited fireballs (you can usually only fire like 2 at a time ...Oh yeah, and if you use too many at once the game severely lags ) & 2) Press L to make Mario fall. Doesn't matter where he is. Once L is pressed, it's as if the course no longer exists, and Mario plummets to his death. Doesn't help advance the game at all, but I found it to be quite humorous. XD

Mods, of course. Whether it'd be a mod to remedy a little glitch or bug that bothers me (Which should be fixed by the game makers anyways) or something silly that adds some extra content or just to add a little laugh.

Why mods of course, should look at how many mods I have for ARMA 3(over 100+) lol, but seriously nearly every game that is moddable on my list has mods for it, gaming wouldn't be gaming without mods imo.

I have more fun with games the more I learn about them, always lurking the web looking for cool stuff I can do in game that I haven't thought of yet myself... speedruns can be especially mind-blowing since that stuff can be difficult to replicate yourself lol.

Going with a different playstyle than usual is also fun. For example, I always used to roll as Japan (and America before that) in Civilization V, no exceptions, however lately I've been trying out the other civs, and following different strategies/going for different victories. :3

 

And then there's achievements. Going for those is always fun if you ask me, provided they're not too tedious and annoying to unlock.
