Oh hello :3 Mind if I take a selfie?

Hello my name is Selfie Snapshots or well as everypony calls me the Selfie Pony. I have liked mlp for about...2 years now actually today marks my 2 years in the fandom! (Tbh I just noticed that as I was typing this lol.) In the last 2 years of me being a brony I guess I can now truely state that in my life Friendship is Magic XD I know corny right? Anyways I feel I can now state this because of well the journey this Amazing fandom has taken me in life. I guess though to explain this better I should tell tell my whole story of being the Selfie crazed pony I am today.

I guess this all starts about 2 years ago like serriously 2 years ago on January 19th 2013, I decided to watch MLP out of curiosity and after like 3 weeks...I watched like every EP up to the season 3 finale (this was before season 4). I was a total in closet brony though like none of my friends knew or family...I was so scared XD . I then found on Steam there were so many other bronies and I decided to join them, I ended up running a steam group called "The Ponies of Equestria" we ended up getting like 80 members and we had 5 working garry's mod servers. This was the first intence of like leadership I had ever felt in my life. As my Summer was begining to end and I had to start my final year of Highschool I sadly..had to let go of the steam group and give my position to another because I had to foccus on my studies.

Thus began chaper 2 of my life as a brony. As my Senior year of Highschool began I realized at my school there were so many bronies like...so many but they were all closet bronies. As I began becoming friends with about a small group we decided we wanted to do something as a group of bronies we decided that fall day that we wanted to go to a con, but we only had like 4 people and we realized it was almost not possible for only 4 highschoolers to go out of state to a con. All seemed lost....Then I had an idea, "Lets make a club" (which was actually pretty easy since I was a senior and poboly the top of my graduating class) all we then needed was a teacher, and a good value to base our club around. Luckly one of the senior lit teachers was a Brony himself XD and also the values of friendship looked like an amazing club to the school. XD Thus the Thurston Herd was born.



After we got passed by the school board all we then needed was for the members to sign a fourm. We needed 10 members to start it. As by luck, we found the members fast and then we marched to the office with the fourm in hand and you know...that day I came out and told everyone I was a brony by singing the smile song with a Herd of bronies behind me...Best...day...Ever.

As the club started, we had so much fun singing My Little Karaoke to watching eps, to planning our con trip with the club and rasing money for the con. Everyting was just awesome. Then the office came and decided to give us a Job in the school that year...to run the Anti-Bullying week. Tbh none of us had any ideas..then it came to us..Saddle bags. We then sewed together a bunch of saddle bags our members wore and collected dontations, all the dontaions went to a Anti-Bullying foundation. Before the week was over I was given a special duty and that duty was to give a speech...in front of the whole school...about what my club was and why we fight bullying. You know...giving a speech is one thing...but giving a speech in front of a gym of about 900 Highschoolers is pretty hard, and what made it even harder was explaining what a brony was xD. I remember before I went up there I was shaking so hard...I grabbed the mic and I started. I intoduced myself and I said I was the founder/Princess of the Thurston Herd (Yes I am a guy...and Yes they laughed a little) but that didn't botther me I then explained what the brony fandom is and how we are basicly older fans of the cartoon my little pony. I then explained I founded the Thurston Herd and how we run on the bases of why friendship is magic and stuff XD. I did that speech fairly great and after that day I became the Pony king of my highschool. My speech was actually so great it made 3 students and 1 teacher cry, and well a whole gym cheering for the club. And I also had a little fun, I taught the whole school how to Bro-Hoof XD. it was so awesome.


As the school year ended I graduated and life was great, and to me I felt I had a legacy to leave behind at the Highschool. but my story in this fandom was just about to begin for real, because my Con trip was comming up and what I did there changed my whole brony life because I felt I found who I was at that con. The con I went to was Everfree Northwest 2014 and for those of you who went proboly already know who I am. It was day 1 of the con and My Celestia it was so amazing, Bronies everywhere I felt as if I entered a whole building full of people who understood me. I met so many new people and even a few famous bronies like the World"s Manliest Brony who I got a Selfie with of him putting me in a head lock. I looked at the photo and I realized...Dang I taking selfies felt great. I then started taking selfies with random cosplayers and before I knew it I had a sign around my neck saying "Help me get 100 selfies" and after that I ended up getting a total of 200 selfies. When I hit 200 I announced it to a giant crowed as they called my the Everfree Selfie Pony. Then I realzied...I loved doing this I made people happy I had a quest...a Selfie quest, Then it hit me...I was the Selfie Pony.

To this day I still have all 200 of my selfies and I already plan on going to Everfree Northwest 2015 and getting 300 Seflies. As I discovered my brony idenity I also decided to make an OC with this quest. Her name is Selfie Snapshots. I run a pony ask the blog/quest blog on tumblr for the character. I hope one day to be able to walk into a con and people come up to me and say, "HEY your the Selfie Pony, can I get a selfie" then I will smile and be like, "Buck yeah you can" with a big smile.


Well...that's my story haha sorry for making it so long....I just got into my whole writing mode. Thanks everypony and its good to be part of a fourm for bronies. Love yaaa

That sure is a long story, and a nice one too. I went to Everfree Northwest 2014, might have I seen you there? If you explain a bit I might be able to remember you, but there was a lot of other people there so yeah, it was a fun convention, I had a few friends doing vendor stuff there, I got to hang out and do stuff. I plan to at least go to that convention, or a few others, but I dunno how I would pull that off with work. xD Well, I hope to see you around and have a good time!
