From what i heard, its should be going from the southmost city on the eastern half, through all the major cities there, through the capital, pass the river over a massive bridge and then through all the western cities. Your citizens are to lay the tracks, we will just observe and correct any mistakes. Such a railway should be a great base. When its done you will be able to modify it as you wish, it should be a great beginning for a rail network here."

Gazania took the bow knife. She tossed it a few times and spun it on her hoof. "Very nice.  That knife you're holding is mostly for throwing. But I got a few others meant for combat." He reached a hoof behind her back and pulled a semi-large bayonet with a sharp blade that goes into a saw. "This was made by a friend of mine and the bosses. Bayonets are her specialty, it's foney because her name is Bayonet." She laughed. 

 

"And like my small ones I had her make this a little thinner so I can throw it as well." She hold it up next to the bow knife. it wasn't as big or as thick. "But I can throw about any kind of blade." She then throw both knives at a wall, making them both stick into it with a loud thunk.

Blost then walked to the captain and whispered to him, the captain nodded his head, turned to his aid and gave him some orders after the aid went into his cabin and came out with a longer than average rifle and a rope with a floater attached at the end of the rope. point at the rifle "This is a long rifle, don't mind its name were working on finding out who made the first one, so that they may have their name forever imprinted on it, I'll explain it better once I have this target in the water." pointing at the floater attached to a rope

Malachi walked over to where Gazania threw the knives and pulled out hers. "Well, considering that you know more about weapons then I do, Gaz. How about you learn a little more from Blost and let him do his demonstration.  As much as I want to watch I should get a few winks in." He said tossing her knife at her. She caught it without much effort. "You got it boss." She said looking at the Blost and the rifle.  Malachi nod at Blost before heading off.

 

Gazania sheathed he knife and walked over to Blost and placed a hoof on the rifle. "It's a beauty. Most of the boys in our crew just has a little bit of rifle training and mostly like to fight with melee weapons or their hooves. But I love guns. Almost as much as knives. So I like to think I'm a pretty good sniper. Would you mind if I give it a try after you?" She said giving Blost a sweet smile.

"This is one of our most greatest rifles, we might soon put theses into production, more than the standerd gun powdered rifle, this can out range and is better accurate than the average military gunpowder rifle, the only downfall of the rifle is that its reload is a bit longer than the average rifle, but as I said the make up for loss time is a more likely kill." Blost looks at how far the floater is from the ship, "Alright its at far range, please take your aim and shoot at will." Blost says to Gazania

 Gazania grabbed the rifle and fiddled with it a bit to get a feel for it. She then looked out to the target and started running the trajectory in her head. When she felt like she had it she took off her glasses and placed them on top of her head. Then she got in a stance and pushed the but of the gun in her shoulder and aimed.  She blinked a few times and then took the shot. Getting a bulls-eye right off the bat. She gave Blost a smile. "Told ya I was good. And you're right, the range is great and the kick back ain't that bad either." She gave him the rifle back.

Gazania sighed and decided to head back to her room. When she got there she started sharpening her knives till she fell asleep. Malachi was already asleep, as well as Tungsten. But Ash-horn was still awake, reading one of his books. After a few minutes  his legs started to get a little stiff. He placed his hammer in the corner of the room and head out, ducking his to make sure his head didn't hit anything.  

 

He walked out on deck and looked out over the water. He reached into his bag and pulled out a pipe and a small box of matches, struck one of them and lit his pipe while he puffed it a few times.

 Ash- horn smiled and shook the stallions hoof even though his hoof outsizes the captain. "Mighty fine to meet ya, captain. Name's Ash-horn. I'm one of Boss Malachi's crew. But before that I use to work for the rails and I'm use to running all night and day. So I pretty much sleep every other day." He chuckled as he sat down on the deck so the captain wouldn't have to keep looking up at him.

Blackfire set down what was now an empty wine bottle with a sudden thud upon the table. "Wait a minute, wait a minute," she said slightly slurred. "What if there's another way that we don't know about? Why don't we send an expedition to sail the whole of the southern sea? That way we'll know everything south and west of us." "That sounds like a great idea," the Kaiser said, "But maybe that can wait till we've secured the areas we currently use and finish accomplishing goals we've currently set." He poured himself a glass from a fresh bottle while Helm wrote more down.

 

@Gloomfury, A tall Bat stallion came in through the entrance. His coat was very dark, while his mane and tail were a contrasting near white. He wore a regular uniform, only with areas with added padding and protection and the looks of it having been well used. One side of his face was well defined by a prominemt jawline, while the other, a series of scars about his eye and upper cheek. He seemed to be urgent in the way he speedily trotted, displaying that he meant business, and that he was the top priority. Everyone else stopped and watched him in quiet admiration. "Good day ma'am. I am here for my pick up." he said when he got up to the desk. "Why yes, of course Herr Colonel Lauf." She turned around, and grabbed a clipboard with a pen and paper attached. "Please just sign here and here, then it will be brought out front for you." she said smiling. While he signed she asked, "Colonel, this stallion here," she gestures to Flits, "he is from a foreign nation and would like to partake in some activities. Since you mostly work outside of the bases, is it possible that you could take him out and show him what it is you do?" He turned his head, and looked Flits up and down. "Sure," he said, "If he's up for it." He smiled and gave the clipboard back.

"Umm, i guess so.... but i would recommend you wear this." he gives hem eacg a hakesheif as he puts his  over his mouth. As he opens the door a wave of heat rushes out. The difference between the temperatures outside and inside the factory was exremly high as both pony and machine work relentlesly. The factory had huge wallls made out of ovens where ponies, all sweating shoveled in coal non stop. Above tem, on metal passageways overseers shouted at those below to move faster. The entire factory was lit by dim lights as giant metal pumps moved from all the coal pumped into the engines. The workers werea ll covered in a thin black coat of coal and ash and most of them stunk of sweat. The factory was noisy, yells, fires and the sound of machinery made sure one could not find a single moment of silence. As the giant pumps moved in a round motion they spun  great metal wheels which were connected to some sort of tower. This tower shot lightning in nearby poles which then led it down into huge metal containers. It was clear the process was tiring. THe oxygen levels were quite small and the air was filled with ash and heat.

The guide yelled, trying to be heard over the loud machinery,

"What do you want to know?!"

 "Alright, I will need some advanced armaments to field these out posts, I see a good reason for 3 for now, 2 located at some points around my kingdom on some Islands, and one at the mouth of the sea, I will toll any ponissian ship that enters the water, if they some how avoid one outpost, then they will run into another, a tolled ship will be given a pass to let them through the other outposts, I have a win win here, I get to get back at them, and they ant refuse the toll, or else they will look weak, as any nation as powerful as theirs could easily afford to pay a toll into these waters" Salazaria said as she took another glass of wine to drink, she wrote down a list of supplies needed to field the out posts and handed it to them, she then turned to Blackfire "I will need lumber, those fools destroyed my navy and Ill need a newer better one, also I will need some pony to help train my soldiers in the use of rifles, along with my plan to smuggle weapons down river, If you give me an instructor, I can have him groomed up to pass as a Cidonian, to sneak him in, I brought enough gold to pay for an initial shipment of lumber, I will send a barge to bring gold and gems to exchange for the lumber, and the skiffs hollow hull will be filled with weapons" she turns to the Kaiser "And the same for you, I wanted some of your weapons as well" she addressed both of them "Commanders of my military will be shipped in secret to both of your nations to learn of modern military tactics and techniques and additional training. Using my resources I can fund you two in your own endeavors.   In addition, civilians of both of your nations will be granted free access to my capital" she looks at both of them "Can we agree on this?"

For example, this entire city couldnt pay for the full price of such a railway being completed. So, if you want to modernise, what we plan on doing is teaching you how to work on your own. In other words, we brought the materials, and instructors, you must provide the ponypower for the job. And i dont think im... liked enough to go there and start a employment campaign."

The diplomats were simply awestruck. Never before in their lives had they seen anything quite like this .For several minutes they found themselves unable to do anything but stare at the natural scene. Finally, one of the diplomats spoke. "W-what is all this!? What is the purpose of all this.. this..." The diplomat found himself at a loss for words, unable to describe the factory.

@Skullbuster, The Kaiser arched an eyebrow slightly while listening to the Queens requests, out of them sounding closer to orders than actual requests. Maybe she spoke so as a reminder of what they got out of this and the insurance it brought Abendstern specifically in being able to keep an eye on a Ponssian territory he thought, but more likely it was just the tone of royalty he was hearing. Whenever he asked for anything it was regarded as an order, but his casualness made it seem more personal, like the owner or chef of a restaurant to an employee rather than the head of a nation to one of its subjects. "Agreed. I shall have everything sent as soon as possible. I am going to leave now so that can be done and I may get to other business that needs attending." He stood up and bowed slightly. "Enjoy the mead." He began trotting out and his generla and advisor rose to follow. The soldiers finished their drinks as fast as they could, one even daring to refill his mug from the barrel they had brought in. Some shook hooves with other guards before leaving as well. They boarded their ships, and the Kaiser returned to the Nightingale. They set off to return home.

 

Meanwhile, Blackfire agreed to the terms and waved goodbye to them. She then turned back to the Queen. "I'll stay a little longer. At least till I pass out." She said with a laugh. "There's probably some dumb dominions that needed to be executed but that can wait for now. I'll just throw them in with the next batch. There's always somepony not doing what they're bucking supposed to." She hiccupped before saying, "So what do you guys do for fun?"

A great crowd had gathered around the port of Hoofsburd as an ironcladded transport ship stopped it engines. The doors were open and they marched out, inj perfect formation, marching in superb discipline. Theyre dark green uniforms contrasted any other colour around and the flag of the 23rd Cidonian flew high. The officer of the regiment, a Ponssian unicorn made a demonstration along the central roads as the regiment musicials started playing. the song could be heard throughout the city.

Mean while back on the mainland, The efficency of fast-flying pegsi during the Cidonian bombardment sent military projects wild. Gliders and floating aparatus heve existed for a long time, but they were not able to fly far enough. The idea of somehow propelling these gliders in order tm make them faster and prolougue their journey. ONe of the scientists made a very interesting device, by using a barrel of highly pressurised air, he was able to spin a propeller that would lift up the glider, a funnel shaped tube was placed on the front of the glider, behind the propeller, this way the air entered a ingenious valve mechanism that pressurised it. This way a airplane would be able to partially refuel its supply. A light glider could be powered and lifted by a small barrel for about a total of 5 hours before plummeting towards the ground. The only problem was that after landoing, nomatter how much of the air was used, the entire fueling system would have to be removed. This would mean that refueling would take at least two hours. Nevertheless the news sprung through the nation as the first truely flying machine was invented. It would be a long toime until the primitive design were to be perfected yet it filled the hearts of Ponssians with pride.
