Wrestling is an ongoing story, and it needs to progress in order to be told well. To see the up and coming star's conquer obstacles and rise to fame. We've seen our legends and favorites make it to the top of the mountain. What's there left for them to do other than pass the torch to the next generation? Keep the lineage going.

Well, I will have no favourites from this era, they're not good enough, IMO.

Wrestling has been dying for years, it's not great anymore.

Well no one is forcing you to watch but yourself. It's not great? Move on to something that is then. But the rest of us still like it.

Agreed 100%

That's why WWE's in the rut they're in now, struggling to sign younger talents.

Only recently, have they started to build new stars as they know their tried and true stars Cena, Undertaker etc,

are winding their careers down.

Of course, everyone goes against me in wrestling.

Lots of people hate me because I don't like the young losers and love the guys from the past.

Only you can tell them no. You wouldn't be the first to drop out and join 9 million others who stopped watching wrestling post-monday night war.

Yeah, 08-12 was pretty rough. That rotation of Cena, Edge, Orton, Batitsa, HHH & Micheals got tired fast. Though arguably, 2004 had it worse. No Brock. No Angle. No Rock. No Austin. We had to settle for JBL and more HHH as the bad guys and while Benoit & Eddie were great wrestlers, they lacked the charisma and confidence respectively to be main eventers.

Maybe calling them 'Young losers' might have something to do with it.

And have to listen to the legends getting spat on by fans, I'm sticking up for who I grew up with.

Their contributions can't be denied. That's for sure. But they're human, and can make mistakes. And fans will call them out on it, so said mistakes aren't repeated.

Sounds like someone hasn't been watching  whatculture wrestling or wrestling w/ wregret. There plenty of analysis and criticism on the current product. People aren't saying anything. They don't have to. They let the sinking rating speak for them. Hence why WWE has brought the brand split back. Fans are hitting them where it hurts, and now they have to correct things

The legends aren't forgiven but these *guys* today are forgiven and treated like gods.

I'm gonna stop posting here, this is my last post.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I would have had that exact same mindset.

I used to think that all of the new guys were terrible and that WWE was going down a path of self-destruction.

However, since I've been on this forum I've found a renewed interest from having discussions with everyone here, you included.

I have wrestlers I like both old and new John Cena & AJ Styles, for example & I'm actually excited to watch Smackdown, for once.

What I'm trying to say is, if you don't like the new stuff stick with what you do like and enjoy it.  :adorkable:

I would also like to say thank you to everyone for being so awesome and helpful you are all awesome!

I feel like Adam Blampied from WhatCulture.com

On this day in "Trishstory", September 17, 2006:

Trish Stratus defeated Lita at Unforgiven 2006, to win her record setting 7th WWE Women's Championship:

Isn't it funny sometimes, how sometimes wrestling history repeats itself? :P

Maybe they don't hate your for that.

Maybe they hate you, because you just say "Everything today sucks and everything back then was great" eventhough it's a complete lie. There is no black and white. There is a whole lot of grey inbetween.

If you liked what you liked. Fine by me. But don't discredit everyone that works today, just because they don't dress up like the kiss demon.

Another one of those heel characters, they did not enough with.

Doink was one of the few things, that was great about 1993 WWE. I think if they made him a bit darker, they could have really made him something like almost an IT kinda clown.

Besides, Matt Borne is a very talented Wrestler as well. Not alot of people talk about his match against Bret Hart, at Summerslam 1993.

I know it's just a rumor but, if it did in fact happen they would probably just use it as a way to get the video footage they don't have like the article said.

They will certainly bring all the TNA PPVs on the Network and maybe the impact shows in the future.

Vince already took guys, like Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles (eventhough he came from New Japan, but it still counts) so why not just take the few good guys who are in there?

If this is true and WWE goes all the way with it, Billy Corgan has no chance, eventhough i think Corgan has more knowledge of thw Wrestling business, then Dixie Carter. He could really do something with that place.

Or guys like Moose, Bobby Lashley (if he wants) and James Storm. Especially Storm, maybe he can do a little feud with Roode. :P

1. I could see Matt bringing his "Broken" gimmick to WWE maybe a feud with Bray Wyatt,

Jeff could be a good fit in the Cruiserweight Division.

2. Bobby Lashly, I'll pass.

3. What's a "Moose"?

4. Storm could feud with Roode (Hey, that rhymed.) or they could reform "Beer Money" with a different name, obviously.

Jeff is too over, to be just in the cruiserweight division

that's moose:

Very talented guy, if i do say so myself.

Beer Money right now, is not an option for me. Roode right now, is just too much over with his Glorious gimmick and it's rumored that he faces Nakamura, after Nakamuras rematch with Samoa Joe.

@@Mesme Rize,

1. Yeah, I can see what you mean about Jeff Hardy.

2. I'll look up "Moose".

3. That's good to hear about Roode as he's got it all IMO, I wish he'd get a better finisher though.

4. WHY DID YOU GET THAT SONG STUCK IN MY HEAD!  (I'm Kidding.)
