We noted before that WWE has had interest in purchasing the TNA, mainly for the tape library, and that a real offer did exist but it was described as an option if no other parties purchase the company. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio today that WWE is back in the picture in regards to the sale. Dixie Carter is able to sell to whoever she wants to and apparently things have become very complicated.

 

 

TNA is running out of time and at last word, there was still no deal for Billy Corgan to purchase the company. Corgan needs to make a deal to fund this Sunday's Bound For Glory pay-per-view and next week's TV tapings. When Corgan talked to ESPN this week, he still talked like a deal could be weeks away but Meltzer noted that a deal needs to be made before Friday as it's the last business day before Sunday's pay-per-view.

While WWE would mainly want the TNA tape library, they would likely keep a few wrestlers but the company would be done.

 

You know, whenever you think TNA kinda gets it's stuff together, stuff like this happens.

BTW, who else disliked the Ambrose Vs. Lesnar feud for being way too one-sided?

 

If they were going to have Lesnar win, then the advantage should've shifted back and forth every week; but if Lesnar was going to dominate most of the time, then Ambrose should've gotten the last laugh.

 

Instead, we just got a multi-week squash that was too cheap and depressing to care about.

Lesnars shtick, is getting boring. The WWE pretty much booked themselves in a corner, because they inititally planned to feed Lesnar to Reigns at WM 31, but then at the last second, gave Rollins the title. Now, Lesnar is doing nothing else, but squash guys who are not called the undertaker.

 

His match against Ambrose at Wrestlemania 32 was dissapointing to say mildly, because i kinda thought if you let Ambrose work Lesnar with the weapons, he might look atleast strong. But it wasn't even that. This was just bad.

This is a joy to watch for me, considering some of these stars are my absolute favorites and they certainly deserve a bit more respect.

I liked their "On This Day" series and video's of that nature where I might learn something.

 

I just can't stand any of their commentators besides Adam Blampied and find their other videos pointless to waste my time on as a result.

Sounds like some of the parties involved in TNA have to sell at this point, at least to make a quick buck before things turn sour. Either that or watch their investment crumble. I really shouldn't want TNA to go down, but I kinda do, cause that would drum up big business for Ring Of Honor, making them the defacto second biggest wrestling fed in North America.  But if Sinclair Broadcasting, (ROH's parent company) makes the purchase, and allows Corgan to stay in control, I might get invested again.

I can certainly imagine that the WWE wants that Library very badly. Not just for the fact, that they have content to fill on the WWE Network, by putting in all TNA PPVs and Impact shows, but not to mention that they now can bring out a whole load of new Documentaries, from AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Sting, Austin Aries, etc.

 

And since WWE has good relationships with Ring of Honor and New Japan, they can now pretty much show of their entire careers finally, without ignoring the TNA part.

Ever since he started his "Suplex City" gimmick his matches and hype promos have been the same boring repetitive stuff over and over again, IMO.

At first, i liked it. But after i realized that he really dosen't do anything differently, he got boring for me. And after that orton incedint, i even kinda hate him.

It wasn't just you who thought it was over the line. Even Jericho was lost on the finish. So much so he thought Brock went too far and had a bit of a heated stand off with him after the match in the Guerrilla position. Randy getting cut open hardway was indeed planned, though Orton didn't know till only a few hours beforehand, and no one predicted he'd bleed that badly. Or be concussed. 

 

Scary thing, if this were still TV-14, Randy would've bladed for that effect. And that would've been safer.

That Jericho story always makes me laugh for some reason because, it shows that even the wrestlers can get confused by what happens sometimes, just like the fans.

Haven't watched, but they have made great athletes in Sara Del Ray, Amazing Kong, Dayzee Haze, cheerleader Melissa & Ms.chif.

Anyway, the problem with WWE is not that its PG (SmackDown's always been PG and RAW was PG until the late 90s) nor is it that its more "family friendly". The problem is the people controlling it dont know how to do things. Believe me, WWE could be TV-MA and it would still be mediocre because good talent would still be wasted.

Still, the women's division has been improving. Thank god for no more of those demeaning "bra and panties" matches, among other things. And thank god for getting rid of that AWFUL Diva's championship.
