Denim&Venöm 19,047 December 10, 2016 Author Share December 10, 2016 So what do you all think was the best pro wrestling tournament this year? -The Cruzierwieght Classic? -The Smackdown Tag title tournament? -Ring Of Honor's Survival Of The Fittest? -The NJPW Cup? -The Best of The Super Juniors tournament? -The G1 Climax? -The G1 Tag League -PWG's Battle Of Los Angeles -CHIKARA's trio's tournament? -CZW's Tournament Of Death? -ECWA's Super 8 tournament? If The New Day end up breaking Demolition's record, I swear that I'll never look at wrestling seriously again.Well done, spit in the face of the legends, what a pathetic company. Maybe it's time you take it less seriously then. And if WWE maintian demolitions record, then they'll be spitting in the faces of an entire generation of talent, telling them, "You will never be as good as those that came before, no matter how hard you work, no matter how hard you try and no matter how hard these fans cheer for you." Do we really want that kind of message sent? Hell, I don't think even Demolition care all that much about the record. They'll probably be happy knowing that there's a team out their that can surpass them, let them know that tag wrestling is alive and better than ever.

Denim&Venöm 19,047 December 10, 2016 Author Share December 10, 2016 My opinion and my hatred for The New Day isn't gonna change, mate. Hate the new day all you want, but maybe be happy that the WWE is allowing it's new stars to make history, instead of just resting on their laurels and maintaining the status quo. SUre, there were better choices then the new day, but at least some team from this generation is being allowed to make history for the first time in 25 years. How would you have felt if Demolition weren't allowed to break the then tag title record of the Valiant brothers?

So you would've been upset had the Road Warriors or the Dudleys broken the record? Is the issue the record being broken or the new day being the ones to do it? And if no one in the post PG era appeals to you, then I ask again, why do you still care about what happens in WWE? Why are you still watching?

Never have and never will, they're as appealing to me as paint drying. There are some guys in the WWE that appeal to me, The Authors Of Pain, Sanity, The Ascension and The Vaudevillains are the ones I like. And singles wrestlers, I'm going with Braun Strowman because he destroyed James Ellsworth, I was fine with Ryback and I love Goldberg. Hope he wins the rumble. sig by @Kyoshi

Well at least there's something keeping you engaged. I'm not gonna convince you that the new day are awesome, but at least be happy that Demolitions tag title reign is not being treated like a glass ceiling. That would be more harmful to their legacy. And int he end, they'll still be the longest reigning word tag champs and they'll still have the longest record of combined tag title runs. No team will ever touch that (at least I hope not). As to the rumble, I think Braun needs more polish. He's improved, but has a way to go. More likely, I see him beating Roman for the U.S. title. He proves himself as U.S. champ, then he's got good things in his future. For who's going to win? It is a bit more ambiguous this year, though unfortunately it's probably gonna be John Cena so he'll get that 16th world title reign at Mania.

Denim&Venöm 19,047 December 10, 2016 Author Share December 10, 2016 The glass ceiling stuff. Basically, it's a limit, the unofficial barrier that employees aren't allowed to get past, a thing that keeps them down. Basically, guys are being kept from reaching the top on purpose. Lots of debate that there are glass ceilings in WWE for women, foreigners, African-Americans & smaller guys. Demoltion's reign could've been that. Teams would not be allowed to reign past 478 days, regardless of how talented or popular.

Denim&Venöm 19,047 December 10, 2016 Author Share December 10, 2016 The fact that The New Day, a team (a minority, multinational tone at that) is looking close to breaking that record, and being the first to do so in 25 years, shows one example of WWE not holding these guys down. In the broader sense, it shows WWE want to move forward and not be shackled down by their past. Instead of trying to repeat the forumas of the rock and wrestling connection & the attitude era, wwe are finally trying to make something new out of this generation.

Does it, or does it show WWE won't allow anyone to be better? If Demolition were still active, then a case could be made, but they haven't been in a wwe ring in over 20 years. In a way, it can be construed that demolition are keeping teams down, while sitting at home.

Denim&Venöm 19,047 December 10, 2016 Author Share December 10, 2016 And it sounded like New Day have no respect for Demolition, so I can't respect them. No respect? Demolition has hardly been mentioned by them. Also consider that that's more reflective of the characters they're asked to portray, and not the guys themselves.
Denim&Venöm 19,047 December 11, 2016 Author Share December 11, 2016 So what are some moves being used by guys that should really be finishers instead? While I get the spear, Roman Reigns occasionally uses the Niagra Driver, a sit out crucifix bomb, which looks a hell of a lot more impactful than the spear. Heck, anyone who does a powerbomb should have it as a finisher. Looking at you, Luke Harper. Also anyone who does the frog splash should have that as a finisher, including Seth Rollins, who does a pretty good one, and especially Kevin Owens, given his size it's impressive he can pull it off, and yet, has only put away an opponent once.
