Where to legally watch MLP?

Ummmm Piratebay is NOT legal because all of the stuff on there is pirated and piracy is a crime...>.>

But anyway my answer is http://www.watchcartoononline.com for sure.

Just so you know, Most of the files on The Pirate Bay are copyright-infringing, but there are also some public domain and other legal-to-share files (like GNU/Linux distributions) available on it.

Also, watching episodes on the website you mentioned is just as illegal as torrenting episodes if the website doesn't have the copyright holder's permission, though the chances of getting caught torrenting are higher.

By the way, I don't torrent illegal stuff, but I'm seeding about 10 legal torrents right now. B)

I ask this because I've done all my watching from Netflix. While I love watching it there, Netflix drops shows all the time. Also I can't very well watch season 5 episode by episode on Netflix, and I'm NOT waiting for all the episodes to come out first.

So what are my options for watching episodes when they come out as well as buying older episodes now?

Websites including http://www.watchcartoononline.com/http://dubbed-scene.com/http://www.justanimedubbed.tv/http://www.animeflavor.com/ and also http://www.cartoon-world.tv/

No, I'm not kidding.

I haven't seen any evidence that the site either has or doesn't have Hasbro's permission to host episodes on their website.

I seriously doubt that they do, provided that the show is sold on the iTunes store, is pay-per-view on Youtube, and is sold on DVD.

Yes, it appears to be copyright infringing, but there is probably little chance of getting caught.

DailyMotion looks less cheesy to me, and all the episodes can be downloaded from it with youtube-dl.

So you're saying that if the police find out that I've been going there I'm gonna go to jail? O_O

Probably not, but it's still illegal. Copyright infringement is so widespread that they can't catch everyone.

If it was really illegal to go to watchcartoononline.com though I would seriously think that the website would get taken down though.

It's still technically copyright infringing, though Hasbro may be ignoring it.

We can test out this theory by sending a letter to Hasbro's legal department informing them of this heinous site. :muffins:

Likely not. If any legal action were to be taken it would likely be against the site itself rather than going after everyone who's ever logged onto it.

They don't seem to be too concerned. I think they see the show as advertising for merch which cannot be easily pirated.

Then get cable...

I second this, respectfully. There really isn't an easy way to support the show without cable or watching it on Netflix. However, Equestria Daily is pretty well known for posting links to the episodes when they've been put on the web for all to watch. If you still don't feel right about it, remember you can always go out and buy pony merchandise to support the show.

I think streaming is totally legal, as you have to deal with advertisements, which is how money flows with TV shows

If you are referring to watchcartoononline.com, the advertising revenue probably goes to the people running the site, with Hasbro seeing none of it. There are legal streaming sites like Hulu that use ads, but they actually get permission from the copyright holder, and the copyright holder receives royalties.

Please keep in mind that I'm not saying it's wrong, just technically illegal.
