I just remembered, remember The Family in Fallout 3? Perhaps there's a changeling faction like that?

 

I made a cult modeled after them that worshipped Flutterbat. They invoked ritual dark magic with Bloodwing blood under the guide of their leader Siphon to become the genuine article of vampires.

Speaking of cult fics there is one I need to start on and that is the cult of the true moon.

 

A cult that believes nightmare moon is the one true ruler of equestria and the cult is focused on corrupting Luna once again to usher the return of nightmare moon.

Just saying there seems to be a large proletarian sentiment in the fandom. Farms, small town = good. High class, mansions = bad.

 

For at least some of us in a middle class, egalitarian society, some of that just comes off as somewhat hypocritical and immature. Especially since there's next to zero evidence of it in the show. (Okay so you have two Canterlot snobs, that's not exactly aristocratic oppression.)

Recall Starlight Glimmer, who forced some ponies to give up their cutie marks while others did so willingly. This is kind of a similar thing I'm thinking of, only the message is more about superiority than equality
