Rave listened intently to what Caramel said, however, when she said that she would be going to bed, he felt sad. He saw her hesitation. He waited patiently, for what she might have to say. "Caramel?" he said softly, using her name instead of her rank, Captain, waiting for what she had to say.

Caramel looked at Rave when he said her name. "I've been having these nightmare lately. Well actually, I have had them for a very long time. I can't seem to fall asleep anymore. I haven't slept in a long time." Caramel said with a sad tone. "I just.....I was wondering...since I slept so good yesterday.....I was wondering...... I was wondeirng if it would be okay if I slept here tonight." Caramel said blushing.

Rave blushed as well as he listened to what Caramel asked. "O--of course you can" he gave her a warm smile. "I am terribly sorry that you are suffering from these nightmares. You can of course sleep here. In fact, when you last slept here, I was really calm myself, since I sometimes have a hard time sleeping as well" he smiled, blushing.

Scarlett lay down on the floor in her room. For the first time in a long time, she was actually able to relax without worry of her magic going wild overnight, considering the fact that all her magic had been used up. Truth be told, she was glad she ended up here. For once, she has something to do instead of sit around on the borders of Equestria. What better way for a mismatch pony than to interact with a mismatch bunch of crewmates. 

 

For the first time in forever, Scarlett was content.

 

And so, she fell asleep.

"Well in that case, I have an even better idea." Caramel said smiling. She grabbed Rave by his hoof and dragged him out of his room. She ran through the hallway and up the stairs, so they ended above deck. She sneaked around, making sure no other pony could see them "Above deck, there is this room, that is officially used as the captains quarters but I never sleep there. I always sleep below deck with the others because I don't consider myself better than others.'' Caramel said while getting the key to open the door. "The bed however in here is amazing, so I thought I would make an exception." Caramel said as she pushed open the room. She blushed as she looked at Rave's face. "I'm sorry, I just got a little excited."

Rave blushed hard as well, but he smiled at Caramel. He listened to her explanation and nodded to her. "I think it is a wonderful idea. I mean, the bed would be larger, it would be easier for two ponies to sleep in. I am also quite excited" he said, blushing even more, smiling in excitement.

Caramel entered the room while lighting up the torch that was hanging on the wall. She closed the door after Rave stepped in aswell. "I haven't been in here in a while. This used to be Captain Roger's quarters before he passed away. He was the one who took me in after I ran away from home. When he died, I became captain but I never had the heart to actually take his place." Caramel said while looking around the room. "A lot of memories."

Rave frowned. "I am so sorry. Captain Rogers must have been a great pony. He was wonderful for taking you in. I am terribly sorry for your loss. However, I think he would be quite proud knowing that you were using his room, to honor his memory" he said to her, smiling warmly.

"It's okay, he passed away a long time ago. He died of old age. It never really bothered me. I still miss him, but I moved on." Caramel said with a smile as she laid down on the bed. "He was like a wise grandfather to me, he was really funny too." Caramel said, laughing at old memories.

Rave nodded, understanding her. "Our loved ones will always pass away, that is true. I lost my mother at a young age, so I understand" he said smiling. "I am glad that you are able to relish his memory though. I understand that you miss him, he must have been a great pony. It would have been a true honor to meet him". Rave laid down next to Caramel on the bed.

"I lost my father when I was 5, but I don't like to talk about that. There was a storm, I was sailing with him, ye know how it goes." Caramel said, not wanting to remember it. "That is my nightmare, reliving that day, the reason I can't sleep." Caramel said hugging Rave. "At least now I can."

Rave warmed up inside. Whatever dark thoughts that had been troubling him for years, were melted away. He was with Caramel now, he loved her. He returned the hug, holding her close. "I am happy that you can do that now, I would tell you how my mother died, however, I don't want to bring any form of sadness to this wonderful hour right now" he said smiling to her.

Caramel smiled at Rave before she nuzzled closer to him. "I'm so happy to be here with you right now. I'm really gonna miss you when we go our separate ways after this journey." Caramel said softly before closing her eyes and falling into a very deep sleep.

Rave did not fall a sleep right away though. He thought about Caramel's last words. "When we separate?" he thought. He sighed. "Wherever your heart belongs Caramel, I respect that. I will surely miss you. I love you. I just hope that the separation won't come soon" he thought. He then closed his eyes as well and fell asleep.

Wilhelm, meanwhile, woke up abruptly in the middle of the night. Foolishly, he had tried to soldier through one of the more boring areas of the book on unifying harmony theory (which was disappointing, since he basically founded the field), and thus, he had literally fallen asleep from a mixture of boredom and sheer exhaustion. Getting up and somewhat attempting to stretch out the cricks in his everything, he stumbled downstairs and into bed. He fell asleep almost immediately- that is, after he remembered that he had forgotten all his books outside and ran outside to get them belowdecks. After that, he finally went to sleep.

Tyra had already retired to the dining room to gorge herself on rum after a big day, feeling like she'd earned it after all the events on the island.

 

She'd love to investigate it further, but at the same time, with her weakness to magic in general, who knew what it might do to her?

 

In any case, she was happy now, so she returned to her quarters and climbed into her hammock to sleep off her drinking binge.

Spellbind did a similar schedule. That being, eat a bunch of food and drink in the dining room, then intend to sleep.

 

She looked up and Tyra had gone. Spellbind wanted to speak with Tyra, so looked for her.

 

Spellbind found Tyra in her quarters. Before Spellbind could talk, she fell asleep on the floor of Tyra's quarters.

Upon waking up the next day to a loud bang, Scarlett quickly woke and noticed there was a bit of a draft. Turning around she saw a big hole. It was at that point she realized that ships weren't supposed to have big holes in them. Noticing the pile of wood on the floor beside her, she came to the conclusion that her magic had regenerated overnight and caused some havoc.

 

Quickly pulling all the wood up with her magic she replaced it to where it should be and reattached the wood seamlessly. Hopefully nopony had noticed it overnight.

Wilhelm woke with a start to the sound of a huge bang, similar to cannon fire. Groggily, he said "What the buck." and then rolled over and went back to sleep, ignoring more or less anything else for the next few hours.

 

Wilhelm was not a morning pony; his job was at night, after all..

After a long day, Assassin woke up. She looked around, recognising it was her captain's ship. She wanted to find Caramel quickly, she tried her best to find her by wandering around the ship. After some time, she kept on spinning around, looking awkward.

Caramel woke up from a loud bang, she noticed that she was still hugging Rave, she smiled. He seemed to be still sleeping so she quietly got out of bed and sneaked out of the room. Closing the door behind her, she saw Assassin wandering around the ship. "I hope she didn't see me coming out of that room." she thought. "Hey there, I see you are doing better." Caramel said as she walked towards Assassin.

In his sleep, the blast reminded Lordy of the time on the front. The war drums, the cannons. At another bang, he dreamt of a cannonball coming right for him, before it hit him he woke up. Propelling himself out of bed and hitting the ships hull with his bag. It took him a couple of seconds to realize where he was... But he calm down.

"Whats all this ruckus about?" He asked himself as he left the room.

After spinning around couple times, Assassin heard somepony's voice, she immediately turned around and found out it was her captain. She was glad to see her, she grabbed Caramel and asked, "You.. you know what happened earlier... how did I get out of that hole?"

Scarlett sits down in her room and tries to stay as quiet as possible in the hope that nopony had been woken up by her magic.

 

Lighting up her horn, she teleports to the top of the mast and sighs in relief, nopony was on the deck yet and her magic had almost fully recharged.

Tyra woke up, though not exactly suddenly, by the sudden blast. She acted more as if she was gently nudged awake.

 

She sat up and yawned, stretching her limbs, and hopped off her bed, grabbing her things and making her way out to the deck.

 

Or, she would be if she hadn't tripped over a sleeping Spellbind at her door.

She sat up and readjusted her helmet before nudging the unicorn. "Is there any reason in particular you have been sleeping in front of my room?"
