Tyra shook her head and placed her hoof on his mane, for reasons unknown.

"Nay," She answered, "As I said, it is not shameful to cry. You are my friend, so I shall help you how I can!"

 

She grinned and grabbed him in another hug, this one much looser and not as suffocating.

Expecting completely Caramel's response she replies "The future I'm from has already been prevented from happening. So there's always the chance that so are the circumstances that lead you to having foals. Anyway, I just thought you should know that you have an alternate reality great granddaughter on your ship"

"Okay, I'm still a bit confused." Caramal said, taking another sip of rum. "So if I understand this correclty, the future yer from is not my future....and in yer future, I am yer great grandmother....but who is yer great grandfather then? Just curious.." Caramel said leaning on the table, now very interested in what Scarlett has to say.

Caramel said leaning on the table, now very interested in what Scarlett has to say.

Scarlett does the pony equivalent of a shrug. "Hell if I know" she lies, "but yea you pretty much summed it up. I mean it may or may not happen in your future, but it will still be different to the future I'm from"

 

Sitting down she says "This confusion you feel right now, put yourself in my shoes."

For a moment, a smile crept up Rave's face, but it disappeared instantly as he was pounded within the head by the dark voice. "Thank you for listening to me.... friend" he said the last word as if he was not used to saying it. "I think I am starting to feel better, but I can't really stand up to give you a hug for your help, I feel weak".

"It was my pleasure, my friend," Tyra smiled, tail flicking happily knowing that she was of some help, "I am always happy to listen if you need it!"

 

"Do not worry, I shall assist," She grinned widely, and hugged him tight, as if trying to squeeze the darkness out of him.

Rave felt now comforted. He wished that he was hugging Caramel, but he guessed he would have to let that go, if she was to live a good life. "Thank you very much" he said, before he passed out due to tiredness. "That weakling. How typical of him" the dark voice bellowed in Rave's head.

"I get it. I'm sorry. Ye must be confused as well." Caramel took a last sip of rum and then closed the bottle, giving back to Scarlett. "I'm going to go upstairs, I need some fresh air." Caramel stood up from the kitchen table and walked towards the deck. "Related? How crazy." she thought to herself as she leaned against the railing of the ship.

Scarlett sighs in relief now that she's got that off here chest. Once Captain Caramel leaves, Scarlett goes a few decks down and quietly goes into the medical room. Putting on her suit, she cloaks and lays down to try and get some rest at the back of the room.

"You are welcome, friend," Tyra smiled warmly, just before Rave passed out from exhaustion. She carefully hoisted him onto her back and plopped him into his bed. Hopefully he'd get a better rest there than on the floor.

 

She left the room, and shut the door behind her.

She exited out to the deck, and spotted Caramel standing there, looking over the railing and muttering to herself.

"Ah, Caramel!" She called, grinning and trotting over to her, "How are you faring?"

"Do ye know that Scarlett and I are related? I know, strange right?" Caramel said still a bit shock. "Scarlett told me. She seems to be trust worthy, so I believe her." Caramel said looking at the sea. The sun was almost set, it looked beautiful on the water. "How are ye, friend?"

Tyra blinked at Caramel's claim, then took a place on the railing next to her.

"I am faring well, friend," She grinned, "you are looking much better yourself!"

 

She looked ahead to the sea as well.

"So, you and Scarlett are family?" She asked, "A sister, or a cousin perhaps?"

"Thanks, I feel a lot better too" Caramel said with a smile. "Apparently, I'm Scarlett's great grandmother. Since she is from the future and all." Caramel said shaking her head, still confused about it."I don't really know what to think about it but I guess it doesn't cause any problems. What do ye think?"

"You are her WHAT?!" Tyra yelped, jaw dropping in disbelief, "That can not be possible! She looks as old as you or I!"

 

She shook her head. "And how could she be from the future?! None of this makes any sense to me! Is it some kind of strange unicorn magic or something?!"

Hearing the shouting, Scarlett woke up and in an instant was on the top deck besides Tyra and Caramel "What's happening? Did someone get hurt? Are you alright?"

 

Looking around she sees, well, nobody but the two ponies. "What was all the yelling about guys?"

"I think so, it must have to do something with magic. I'm not an expert on magic though. I'm just a simple pegasus." Caramel said flapping her wings a bit. "Anyways, I'm not going to think about the future thing too much or I might hurt my head." Caramel said with a grin. 

 

"Hi there Scarlett. Nothing to worry about, I'm just explaining to Tyra what ye just told me is all."

"But, it makes no sense!" Tyra yelled, then shook her head, "But aye, I agree." She grinned back.

 

She turned and saw Scarlett exit out to the deck with them. She hopped off the rail and trotted over to her.

"How can you be from the future?!" She cried, in her face, "You look just as old as us!"

Scarlett, upon being exposed to Tyra's outburst, is quite obviously shocked. She says to Tyra "That's kind of how time travel works Tyra" before teleporting back down to the medical room. Talking to herself she says "I thought I had already told all of them. Maybe she just wasn't listening"

"Well it was fun talking to ye and Scarlett, thanks for the drink. I'm gonna go to bed." Caramel said yawning and putting her hoof for her mouth. "Goodnight." Caramel said as she walked to her room. She closed the door and laid down. She eventually fell asleep.

Scarlett lays down in the medical room once again. Lighting up her horn, she makes a few tweaks with where her magic was pushing the ship forward. Closing her eyes, horn still lit up she goes to sleep, just hoping that she doesn't accidentally speed up the ship while she sleeps.

"Goodnight to you, friends!" Tyra grinned widely, waving the two off as they departed for their rooms. She decided to retire herself, and walked inside.

 

She walked below deck and entered her room, and took off her things before hopping into her hammock and nodding off quickly.

Caramel was having a nightmare again. She woke up sweating with a few tears rolling from her eyes. "Why won't these damn nightmares go away?" Caramel said angry. She stood up from her bed and slowly opened her door, trying not to wake the rest. She sneaked around the hallway and knocked on Rave's door. "Rave, I know ye don't wanna see me right now but can I please come in?" ...silence... "Please Rave...I can't sleep." Caramel said leaning against the door.

violet was snoozing, with flare to wake her up in case anything happened. she was having pleasant dreams, where she was just flying high above the clouds...

 

(sleep schedule is really cramping my flexibility, here...)

Rave had tried to ignore her, since he had woken up when she came, but he just could not do so anymore. He looked at Caramel. "Of course you can come in. My door is always open for you. Are you having nightmares again?" he asked her with concern, feeling sad that she was plagued by those nightmares.

Caramel walked into Rave's room carefully. "Sorry, I hope I didn't wake ye and I'm sorry, if I'm bothering you, I can leave. I'm just...like you said...I'm having nightmares again and I can't sleep...well not without you..." Caramel said a bit stuttering. "I've been thinking that maybe, while we still have some time left together, we could make the best of it."
