Scarlett over heard the entire conversation. She became very confused, then remembered that Caramel was her great Grandmother.

 

She said rather quietly "No way" before quickly cloaking and sitting down where she stood not a moment before. She needed to think over this a litte.

"I really don't think there is. Unless there's another unicorn on board that knows at least basic fabrication spells, there is no way we are fixing this mast with what I think we have."

 

"Random question though, what colour would look good on me other than black?"

 

Tyra looked to Scarlett, and tilted her head to the side.

"Colour?" She repeated, then looked up in thought, "Um...well, I am no fashion expert, but I would dare say a purple matching your mane would look nice!" She grinned.

 

She looked over to Caramel and Rave, who were making small talk to each other. She was happy to see them being so close.

Lordy woke up after a few hours of laying unconcious. He looked around, requiring a few seconds beofre realizing where he was. HIs brain was still 'booting up" after the unpleasant experience he had. He needed air. He slowly stumbled towards deck. Unlike his usual appearance, his uniform was not aranged, nor did he wear a hat, which he almost always did. These things just didnt matter as much as air right now. As he slowly climed the stairs and finally got on deck, he was wobbling and his face started turning a faint taint of green.

Caramel felt that Rave was looking at her. She kept looking at the sea. She turned her head at Rave's question and blushed "I'm flattered but I don't know...I mean...uhm...I've never been on a date before so I.." Caramel went silent, she was not sure what to say next. She just looked at Rave.

Rave laughed. "Well, I was not planning on taking you on a fancy dinner, would be too much of a landlubber if I did, wouldn't I" he pushed her a bit playfully, sticking out his tongue. "Oh, and there will be cookies, I wouldn't want you to go without them" he winked her.

she flew down to see tyra, spellbind, and the new pony talking about colors. "uh, guys? isnt the mast torn?"

"Good." Caramel said sticking out her tongue as well. She turned around and walked towards the ones fixing the sail or at least they were talking about it.

"What is this talk about paint and color?" Caramel said a bit confused. "I said that ye could fix it for temporary use, not give it a makeover. I'm gonna replace that whole thing anyways when we're back on shore." Caramel then realized they were not talking about the sail. "Wait a minute, what are ye talking about anyways?"

In a moment of pure boredom, while still invisible Scarlett levitates herself upside down in front of caramel. She decloaks and holds her hooves close to her body while still upside down "I asked them what colour might look good on me. I've been meaning to change my suit colour for a while now."

Caramel jumped a little as Scarlett suddenly appeared in front of her. "Hi there, I didn't see ye there, hanging." Caramel said a bit spooked. "Ye gotta stop sneaking up to ponies mate, it's scary." Caramel said shaking her head. "Why would ye wanna change the color of ye suit, it looks good to me."

Mock whining Scarlett says "Awwww but I'm soo good at it!"

 

Correcting her orientation and landing she says "Yea you're right, the suit is nice how it is. Shame it'll never be invented now"

 

Turning round to the front of the boat she says "So, how long 'til we get to shore? And then what."

"I fear that without a mast to move us," She answered, blinking up at the torn up piece of ship, "we may not see shore for a long time. Unless somepony here can repair the sail, and I can lend a hoof fixing the mast?"

"No need for that my friend, I have a spare sail and wood laying around here, I think it's on the lowest deck, in storage. I could go get it if somepony could lend me a hoof. I'm not going to be able to carry that much by meself." Caramel said ready to walk downstairs.

Tyra lit up at the proposal, and trotted toward Caramel, grinning ear to ear.

"I am more than happy to assist, friend!" She declared, her wide goofy grin shooting up toward the pegasus, "I will carry whatever you need!"

 

She felt rather happy that she was going to be of some help in repairing the ship.

Spellbind also felt like helping out with the repairs of the ship in any way she could. Herself, Tyra, and Captain Caramel, those three mares would make the perfect team.

"Alright, lets go then." Caramel said as she started walking down stairs. "The wood I got laying around is not that good of quality but it will hold until we get to shore. Which will be 2 or 3 days if nothing goes wrong." Caramel opened up the storage room on the lowest deck. The place was dusty and dark. "Lets get started then."

"Aye, let us get moving then," Tyra grinned, nodding enthusiastically, and entered the storage room with the others. She curiously batted at a cobweb she passed, and snorted as particles of dust crept up her snout.

 

She looked to Caramel with a smirk. "You and Rave seem to be rather close, yes?"

Caramel coughed a little bit when she entered the room. She pulled out the spare sail that was laying underneath a stack of wood, a lot of dust coming from it. "Aye, we are close. At least I think we are. Is it that obvious?" Caramel asked Tyra. She rolled up the spare sail and put it on her back.

Wilhelm, meanwhile, had pretty much ignored everypony else and their admittedly rather inane conversations about invisibility suit colors in favor of actually fixing the ship. While the others went to take up the new sail, Wilhelm got the materials ready, such as rope, that they would need, and brought his toolbox from where he had left it earlier. Furthermore, he thought, ponies keep washing overboard. What if I..." Wilhelm went downstairs to get some wood and nails.

Tyra grinned as she helped Caramel with the sail.

"Rave and I were speaking earlier," she explained, a wide smile on her face, "He told me that he really likes you! He hopes to spend much more time with you in the future!"

 

She began wondering if Wilhelm would help fix the ship. He seemed to be a talented repairpony.

Wilhelm, on his quest for lumber, passed the sail-bearing ponies, and muttered a "Hello" followed by a rambling diatribe on higher deck railing heights to keep ponies from falling off, which, by the time he had gotten the wood and nails that he needed, the rant was barely audible and appeared to have gone utterly off a tangent into what was now a discussion on the principles of quantum magic. Balancing the wood and such on his back, Wilhelm precariously made his way up above deck and started working on a higher railing, simply hammering pieces of wood onto the existing ones to make them taller.
