Blizzard replied to Ticktock, "No problem Ticktock, just make sure you keep up. *kneels down, sniffs ground* I sense hostile presence in this area. What's our move team? Should we start heading towards the mountain? I have a feeling that this just might be where Tybalt needed us to go. Everypony ready to move?"

Ticktock made some sort of jokey salute and shouted "sir yes sir!". Then he stopped joking around and said "But in all seriousness are when supposed to like climb the mounting or something because I don't believe a ship like that can be in a mounting can it?"

Blizzard replied, "Hmmm, I honestly have no idea." Blizzard then scopes out the mountain with ice binoculars, "I don't know, but we gotta get up there somehow. But I know for sure that Radiant gave me the position as leader for a reason, and I promise *cross heart motions* that I'll do my best to get us through this."

As Blizzard scoped mountain.Not far from them appered one strange looking pony,if our heroes looked closer they could see that pony wears same outfit as the pirates who atacked town yesterday.Pony walked litle and than crushed on ground near one green tree.He was drunked and he was now slepping.

Tyra nodded and bid her ally farewell.

"May your journey home be peaceful, my friend," she smiled at him, waving him off.

 

She continued trekking on with the rest of the group, still confident that they would succeed without the royal guard.

 

Ahead, they spotted what looked like one of the pirates, who'd stumbled next to a tree rather drunkenly.

She trotted over to inspect him, giving him a sniff. "I smell cider...now I have the urge for one myself!"

 

Suddenly, she perked up with an idea and looked to the others.

"We can question this one! ...or we can finish him off while he is out." A dark smirk crossed her face.

[Commander Tangent 861]

Icarus nodded and looked to the pirate. " If it is an interrogation we need, I am your pony " He said, pulling out a syringe and a murky brown bottle, " I have several chemicals that will.....help him be a bit more open about what he says to us" Icarus said. " I just need you all to restrain him.

Blizzard laughed lowly, "Hehe truth serum eh doc?" Blizzard walked over to the guard and said, "Hmmmm, start looking around guys, if this guy is just laying here, then we must be close to the airship. Start looking around and See if you find anymore signs that lead to the airship."

Ticktock looked a little worried "But surely if we use torture on him that makes us no better than them doesn't it? Ok guys if we find the airship and fight in it at least try to keep it in one piece id really like to have it." Ticktock then daydreams about driving the ship.

Blizzard says while looking around, "Sure roo--- I mean Ticktock, you can take it. But for now focus! We need to keep looking for any signs of the enemy. Remember, stay focused, stay alive. And I'm not about to lose focus right now, and neither should any of you. Got it?"

Ticktock was actually quite surprised at how sensible and focused Blizzard was being. This was a seriously different pony to the one he had met only a few days earlier. Ticktock then does a proper salute and goes "Sir, yes, sir." Ticktock had just gained some respect for Blizzard.

"Ah, allow me, friend!" Tyra grinned to Icarus, volunteering herself for this idea of his.

She trotted up to the unconscious pirate and got behind him, putting her forelegs up over his to restrain him.

 

"I have seen my father restrain many a drunken fighter back home with this hold," she explained, smirking, "It shall work even better with him knocked out!"

[Commander Tangent 861]

"I am going to wake him up, keep him restrained, even if he starts screaming and yelling, that just means things are going to plan" I carus said, pulling out some smelling salts and put them on his nose. The Pirate shot awake, only to get a jab with a syringe in the neck.

 

"That's right..... look at me..... who am I ?" He asked the pirate.

 

"Wh....what....b-boss! Is that...No NO!" The pirate yelled.

Blizzard walked over to the screaming, "Oooh you want mercy now after we've been through pretty much Tartarus and back? Uh-uh nope. Doc, take it to him until he spills his beans.   Make him give us all the info!" Blizzard said with an evil look as he stood over the pirate.

Ticktock looked puzzled "Wait guys why would he think it was his boss doing this to him I mean I know she's a psychopath but would she really do these things to her own soldiers. What would she be hoping to accomplish by that? But anyway I'm just rambling feel free to continue with the extraction of information."    

[Commander Tangent 861]

"blizzard, stay back !" Icarus barked at him, " It's a haluciatory drug geared towards causing pain and fear. I dont know what he sees me as, but it terrifies him" He said.

 

"No No, please, dont take me, I dont want to go....not shalanaska !" He screamed. Shalanaska, the reaper of souls in some northern religions....good, this would be interesting.

 

Icarus got in character. " You Value your puny soul, but I sense many nearby....tell me, who are they, were are they ? Tell me, or I shall consume your soul, and bring you to your ultimate doom" ICarus said to the pirate.

Tyra kept a firm grip on the pirate as he began to thrash around in a panic. Whatever Icarus had given him, it had really affected him.

 

"Shalanaska?" She repeated, recognising the name. "The soul collector?"

 

Being a resident of the North, she had of course heard stories and lore around the deity, and it gave her the image of a cloaked pony, black as night, with a grizzled old scythe on its back.

 

He truly saw Icarus as such a creature?

Blizzard backed up a little, but just enough to where he could still hear, "Hmmm, I've read a book about myths and folklores. And Shalanaska was one of them. *puts hoof to chin* I don't know, that guy could be real if a dude is calling out his name like that. But the question is, why?"

Icarus came up close to the pony's face and  rubbed his head. "Such a poor creature, maybe you wish for this painful existance to end ?" He said in a sinister but calming tone.

 

"Please no.....the.....the Ship! That's what you sense, in a sky port !" He screamed.

 

"How would a mortal begin to enter this place ?I must know." Icarus said.

 

"W-why ? Why would you want too." 

 

"I hunger mortal, and I have a quota to meet. I sense a powerful soul nearby, but if you dont talk, your will do just fine" ICarus gave a sinister laugh.

Ticktock knew the name Shalanaska very well since he also came from the north. He could remember his parents telling him about the pony and also having nightmares of it when he went to sleep at night but the question was why was the pirate scared of a fictional character of legend.

Blizzard  was getting a little impatient, "Come on doc, what's the word? I have a feeling that if we don't get moving soon, the pirates may see us out here and take us by surprise or something. I'm not rushing you, but can you speed it up a little?" Blizzard said as he used ice binoculars to look around for enemies.

Whatever Icarus was doing, it seemed to be working. He was getting all the information he needed out of the pirate.

 

Tyra still kept a firm hold on him, as he panicked at the apparent apparition before him.

 

"I would not like to see what this poor soul is seeing," she muttered to the others.

Icarus let out a sinister laugh, and cradled the ponies head. "pop....that's all it would take, and you would come with me to your end....hehehe. How does one get into this fortress " ICarus said.

 

that Pirate panicked and attempted to get free from their grip, before shouting. " The Sewers ! They go right past all the ships ! one could use them! Let me go please ! I.... I dont want to die.. I dont want to go ! not yet !" The pirate screamed before falling into sobs.

 

Icarus stood up. " Well, there is out infiltration route." he said.

Ticktock was rather surprised "Wow doc that seems like super evil are you sure your not on the wrong side here?" He said jokingly "But dude maybe you should go a little easier on him. Oh I know tell him to leave the Atherblades and begin an honest life.That way everypony wins."

Blizzard started searching for an entry point, "Ok guys, stack up. We need to find a way into the sewers so we can get the jumps on these fools." He then starts looking around, "If anypony finds a way to get in, let one of us know and we'll all meet over by wherever we can get in. Ok, start looking."

Thinking that Icarus had gotten as much information as he was going to get out of the pirate, Tyra swiftly hit him on the head to knock him out.

"Just a precaution," she informed the group, and she began exploring the area with the others to find this entrance into the sewers.

She decided to check the mountainside.

 

Her hooves clopped against the rocky walls, listening as if she was checking for something within. Eventually, she perked up at a faint hollow reverberation. A few more taps confirmed it, and she gave that bit of wall a hard buck.

 

A large piece of wall shattered, revealing what looked like the entrance to a cave.

"I believe I have found something!" She declared to the others.
