Blizzard happily nuzzled against Red's hoof, her tail wagging. Her owner smiled and turned to Red with a grin.

"Aye, she is quite a sneaky one," She admitted, nodding with sureness, "It is how she followed me home as a puppy, after all!"

 

The wolf almost smirked rather proudly, much like her owner would.

 

She turned to Ice, hearing his question, and nodded to the forest.

"We shall enter, and act like we mean no harm. If these Djinn are as passive as Eire says, we will at least have time to react before they begin an attack!"

Blizzard went over to Blizzard (wolf) and scratched her ears. He had never been around many wolves before, but he felt comfortable around a wolf that was like his friend, "Well, I'm pretty sure she'll be an asset to us. I just hope we can control these things without causing them any problems. When do we move out Tyra?" He reached into his pack and held out some wolf food in his hoof towards Blizzard, "I bought this at the store as well. Apparently having a pet wolf isn't uncommon in this area, I hope she likes this stuff. Here girl, want some?"

Blizzard grinned and wagged her tail from the scratches, and blinked at the food presented to her.

 

She sniffed at Ice's hoof, then happily ate up the food...harmlessly taking his hoof in her mouth in the process.

 

"We move out as soon as everypony is ready," Tyra announced, staring down the forest as if it was going to uproot and take her on in combat.

"iv been ready." caliber said, "c'mon now, tyra. lets do this!"

 

he went for a good battle-ready grin, but he wasn't sure it came out that way. at least, he hoped it did.

 

oh, well. at least he tried.

 

but he did hope that whatever scarlet took was returned soon...it seemed to affect his motivation, whatever it was.

Ticktock stood up and left some bits on the table "Yep I am ready to go as soon as possible." Ticktock had already got about five meters away from the others "Well? What are you guys waiting for? We have a forest to investigate and I aint getting any younger"

Blizzard grinned at the nice wolf. He had never fed an animal on his own before, so it was interesting to say the least, "Haha. You're welcome girl." he said as he gently removed his hoof and washed it in the nearby pond. After which, he heard Ticktock, "Heeey. I'm the one who races ahead of the team," he said with a playful grin, "Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!" he shouted as he began to perform cartwheels to catch up to Ticktock.

Red watched Blizzard eat the food offered by Ice and smiled. Blizzard was growing on her very quickly. She turned away to watch the others. She eyed Caliber, reflecting that he seemed a little... worn from the recent fight against Scarlet. He'd been a little less spunky.

 

"I'm ready," she said, as everyone else said the same. She walked after Ticktock and Ice.

Tyra smiled as Blizzard accepted Ice's offering. "My thanks, friend! You will make fast friends with her that way!"

The wolf in question stood with her master, as she nodded to the others. "Okay everypony, let us all move in!"

 

She began carefully walking into the forest, her pet loyally following her lead. They both kept their ears up and eyes open for any possible attacks.

Blizzard began to look ahead at any potential oncoming dangers. He started to scribble notes in his notepad for formation and tactical ideas, "If the enemyy should come this way....no. Then there's that possibility....plants, plants plants....the botanical structure alignment might prove useful in this case..." he said to nopony in particular, but loud enogh for his team to hear.

Red looked around at the foliage. She was getting a little jumpy at Ice's constant muttering. The forest was dark. It was mostly silent.

 

She slowed a little to walk beside Blizzard and began stroking his ears absently, which calmed her nerves. She scanned the woods carefully.

caliber was walking behind the group, keeping an eye out for any dijinn, or, anything that could pose a threat, really.

 

he wondered whether or not his aura-perception would pick up on the dijinn. deciding it couldn't hurt to try, he concentrated on his eyes for a bit.

 

he looked around, and saw a tree that had a stronger aura then the others...that must be a dijinn...

 

"heads up, theres a dijinn over there." he said, pointing at the apparently innocent tree.

Blizzard was confused for a moment. He could see Caliber was pointing to a tree, but he knew Caliber had his aura eyes and could sense a potential threat. "Hmm, I don't know brother, what do you girls think? Is that what we're looking for out here?" he asked Tyra and Red.

Blizzard perked up as Red began petting her ears, and she nuzzled up closer to her, to calm her nerves. Like she could sense her tension.

 

Tyra perked up at Caliber's alert, and glanced toward the tree. She didn't see a thing, but Caliber had some kind of power.

"Blizzard, do you smell anything?" She asked her pet.

 

The wolf raised her head and sniffed in that direction. Her ears lowered, as did her head again. That was a sure sign.

"Aye, something is there," Tyra nodded, lowering herself down, "If we do not provoke it, it will not attack."

Blizzard was confused, he knew that these Dijins were shaped like ponies, but a tree? "Hmm. Ok, 2 things here guys, 1. I thought the Dijins looked more like ponies. And 2, if this is in fact a Dijin, then how do we remove it from this area with causing it any problems for it?"

"Well, first off, since we're all talking practically right in front of it, why don't we just go up and ask?" Red snarked. "I think we should leave it alone. Continue looking for other things. If we don't find anything else, perhaps we'll find another djinn and ask them for information. Or we can ask this one." She was speaking quietly along with the others, but was worried-- perhaps the djinn had better hearing than ponies did or something. Or perhaps it had sensed them.

Blizzard looked up to the tree and thought for a moment before speaking, "Our first point of contact? I think we should at least, you know, try. But what do you all think?" he asked inquisitively. "And if we do talk to it, how do we get it to leave the forest? Any thoughts?"

Our heroes seen thet thing was not Djinn,so they moved forwered deeper in forest.They where going on other side of order outpost.

 

They moved tru forest slow,and they did not make huge progres when the sun started to set down behaimd the threes,and it lefted our heroes in shadow of the threes.As our heroes looked around they could see thet threes wherent all alive and green even if it fall stil didnt started.There where no animals,litle or big.Forest was almost death,no animals,no sound no light.

But as our heroes walked tru the torn bush they could hear some strange words on the other side.They could not see who it was,and thos things could not see our heroes.For now our heroes where hiden and safe from anny danger.

 

On the other side there where five strange looking ponys.There skin was green and there hair was made from floweres.There tale was short but plant like.This must have been Djinn.They have spoken with strange words.And our heroes could not hear noting....

Tyra lowered herself closer to the ground upon hearing the strange chanting. Blizzard followed suit.

"Stay alert, everypony," She whispered, keeping an ear pointed up, "These Djinn are closeby...I can hear them."

 

She looked at the ponies, eyes widened. "Sleipnir's mane, they are like trees carved into ponies!"

Ticktock looked at the ponies closely "Tyra those are djinn. It is unusual for them to be out in the open so much in a book I read about them it says they rarely show up at all let alone stand bolt up right and stay letting everypony see them. Something doesn't seem right here."

Blizzard looked up, and immediately dropped himself to the ground. He knew that tactics were the way to go in this situation. He flipped to a page in his grandpa's book and pointed, "It says here that many forms of Equestrian botany are harmless, so these should be no different. But if need be, I can make an ice machete to cut them down." he said quietly, "Now, how do we get rid of them?"

"I don't think cutting these ones down will be a problem, especially since we can surprise them," Red murmured, crouched in the overgrowth. "But I don't think we should. We kill a few of them, they will all be after us most likely."

 

She eyed the djinn. Looking at them from this close, she couldn't bring herself to think that they were the problem. They were practically plants themselves-- why would they be hurting the forest? Was there another problem? She didn't think the djinn had always been here-- had they been chased here, run out of their homes?

 

"I don't think we should try and get rid of them until we know that they're the problem," Red said after a long moment. "I... I think a few of us should go out and talk to them. Two of us, maybe." That way, the rest of them could back the two up if the djinn attacked.

"Aye, a good idea," Tyra agreed, nodding to Red, "We must have a good relationship with them, and then perhaps they will allow us to learn more about them."

 

She looked to the other mare. "Perhaps you should try, friend. Take whoever you think will be the most efficient with you too."

 

She smirked and raised her chin up. "I for one would like to volunteer!"

Red blinked then nodded. She looked at her companions. She was stoic and business-like. She needed to bring someone more cheerful to counter her attitude and make the djinn more relaxed. Ticktock was more like her, so that ruled him out. Caliber might start randomly fighting-- probably not, but he might-- so that ruled him out, too. Tyra had volunteered immediately, though.

 

She opened her mouth to request Tyra to come out with her, but she didn't want to scare the Djinn off. Red was armored, and Tyra had weapons on her too. Ice used magic and didn't have any weapons or armor on him. And he was friendly.

 

"I think I want Ice to come out with me," she said thoughtfully. "As he does not have a weapon on him. If we came out together, we might intimidate them," she explained to Tyra. She turned to Ice. "Is the plan alright with you?"

As our heroes where talking thos five Djinn where planted something,looked like some seeds.Because our heroes where mostly silent they didnt know they where there so they did not stayed and waited for our heroes they started heading south-oposit side of our heroes,and if our heroes where whanting to talk to them,they shoul hury up to them-before they lost them in this dark forest...

Blizzard listened intently and quickly got up when Red suggested he accompany her to talk with these weird plant-like things, "Sure, I'll come. Ok, whoever plans to stay behind, cover us while we move up." he began to come out of the grass and said to Red, "Whenever you're ready?"
