As the rest of the team hideed,Djinn have seen Tyra on top of the rock.They pulled there wepons,most of Djinn had axe,but four had bow and arow and one did not had wepons.Archers stayed back with arow on bow and aim at Tyra.And others comed to her.Djinn with axe where frst and one with no wepon was in back.They where 10 hoove steps in front of Tyra,on safe distance from her.One with no wepons looked at Tyra and yelled "Who are you nd what are you doing here!"

Tyra was not fazed at the sight of weapons being pointed at her; she was used to this kind of greeting.

 

"Lower your weapons, my friends," She called to them, "I mean you all no harm. I simply seek passage through the swamp to find what is causing these strange flowers to appear, along with the strange phenomenons in this swamp!"

As Tyra finsihed, wepons have not been lowered,archers from farr back stil had her on aim and Djinn with axe stil had there wepons drawn.Djinn with no wepons again started "There is no passage here,return from where you comed from!" he yelled at Tyra.

caliber saw weapons, and he raised his.

 

"do as she says, and lower your weapons!" he called out. "trust me, this is a battle you wouldn't win!"

 

he was actually hoping for a fight. and if these dijinn didnt lower their weapons, then...

 

his sword glinted in the light.

Blizzard didn't want an uneccsary fight against these plants. He tried his best to make peace among them, "We don't wanna fight. We're friendly." he went over and petted Tyra's wolf, as an example of friendliness, "See, we don't wanna harm anything. So please put down the weapons?"

"We do not wish to cause you any harm," Tyra assured the Djinn, raising her empty forehooves, "Please, lower your weapons and allow our two groups to talk peacefully!"

 

She shot a glance to Caliber. "That also means you."

 

Blizzard happily excepted Ice's petting, wagging her tail. Being a large wolf, only her legs were submerged from the knee down.

Caliber started agresivly to yell at Djinn,and as he talked archers from back where already puling out there second arrow,and axe Djinn in front lines where griping there wepons tighltly in ther mouth.Ice and Tyra tryed to reson with them,but Djinn with no wepons didnt done noting he just repited "There is no passage here,return from where you comed from!"

Blizzard became worried. He knew that Calibr would attack at the chance and ruin the plan, but he also knew that the Dijin needed to be reasoned with in order to get them to leave. "Hm....what to do here?" he thought to himself.

 

"Does anypony have any ideas?" he whispered to his team.

caliber looked at his team. "oh, relax! i wont attack first!" he said.

 

he kept his sword up. "it never hurts to be prepared, however..." he added, glaring at the dijinn.

 

"let us pass, and there wont be any trouble!" he called to the dijinn. "there doesn't need to be a fight!"

Tyra glared to Caliber, seeing that he hadn't lowered his weapon yet. "I do not think they will trust us unless you lower your sword."

 

Her attention returned to the Djinn. "My friends, what will it take for you to believe that we mean you no harm? We will abide to any conditions you set!"

Djinn stil seen heled tjere wepons high as Tyra started to reson with them onces more.After she finished Djinn with no wepons started again "There are no conditions here,there is no pass here.If you need to go tru the swamp go north east until you exit forest and then you can go south as far as you like!"

Blizzard got an idea, then proposed a question, "Ok. So you're saying that there is no way possible for us to convince you all that we are indeed in fact, friendly ponies who mean no harm and just want to talk?" he asked.

 

He wanted to assess the situation as best as possible with the best question he could think of.

"If we don't want to kill them, I vote we go around," Caramel said quietly to the others. "From what I've seen of you guys, I think we can overpower them, but we'll probably have to kill them. And I like plant-ponies, I think they're cute. But, if you guys want to keep attempting negotiation, fine by me," she added, shrugging. "I'm pretty sure they'll attack us, though." They didn't look particularly friendly, after all.

Ticktock thought for a while before agreeing with Caramel "I agree with Caramel we cant and don't have to fight these Djinn besides if needs must I can teleport us around super fast." Ticktock then moved closer to the Djinn "May I enquire why we are not allowed to pass this way?"

As ice talked Djinn with no wepons listen closly,and after he finished Djinn started "You can be as frendly as you can be!This is holy ground for ,so no outsiders  can pass here." Djinn looked at others in group "As I said you cant pass tru here,and you can onli go around!"

"We shouldn't kill them. Let's go around," Red murmured. "Maybe we can find another entrance and sneak in that way. Let's try and learn as much as we can, though, before we break any rules of the djinn. We don't want to risk any chance of friendship. Caliber, I, too, suggest you stow your sword for now."

 

She was still behind the rock, as she didn't want the djinn to see their full number.

"im not trying to kill them, but they might try to kill us." caliber murmured back. "its basic fighting one-o-one. if someone draws their weapon, draw yours until they either fight, or stand down."

 

he narrowed his eyes. "and damn if im gonna let my guard down when they still got their weapons out."

"Very well, we shall go around," Tyra agreed, standing down from the rock, "We shall not intrude on your holy grounds."

 

She turned her attention to her group and began muttering, "They are hiding something, there is no doubt about it. If we could somehow get inside where they are guarding, maybe we may find the source of the phenomenon...or, we can continue south."

 

She looked amongst the others. "What does everypony else think?"

Ticktock nodded "I agree I might be able to teleport us somewhere behind them but without any knowledge of the area it could be very risky I cant guaranty we would make it un-touched. However it is probably the only way... although I could levitate us over but we would to visible."

Blizzard also agreed. He knew that sacred grounds were not to be trespassed upon by outsiders. That's how his own ice clan was up until recently, when they allowed others to visit.

 

He nodded and spoke, "Yeah, I'm with Tyra and Ticktock on this one. Sacred grounds are not to be disrespected. Let's find an alternative route ok?"

caliber's sword was still out. "sure..." he said, "but im not standing down until they stand down, too."

 

he started to follow the group, waking backwards, still pointing the sword at the weapon-wielding dijinn.

 

"i dont trust these things. dont know why, but i feel like they might backstab for no reason..." he said, almost to himself.

Our heroes walked back,the same path they comed from.And as they moved Djinn look moved with them,not lowering there wepons and not looking away.Our heroes moved out of Djinn vision and Djinn could not see them and our heroes could not see Djinn anny more.

Caramel, who had been silent for some time (to her shame, as she was beginning to quite enjoy the company of these ponies), spoke on this Tyra's previous statement. "I think Fish-Pony over here was right, awhile back," she said to the others, "and the plant-ponies are hiding something. While I'm not necessarily in the mood to kill them, we might be able to sneak in and check it out. I'm interested. But we may have to double back a ways, so I'd get it if I'm alone of that opinion."

Tyra listened up to Caramel's suggestion, and nodded in agreement.

"Aye, you are correct," She muttered, glancing back to the swamp, "We must find a way to sneak inside and find what they are hiding."

 

She tapped her chin in thought. "Back home we have pegasi scouts to search the wilderness around the village for threats, we can try something like this?" She suggested.

Blizzard had a great idea, which doubled as a prank. He grabbed a can of jungle camo paint, and threw the paint onto Tyra, "Hey axe girl! Or should I say, bush girl?" he said while laughing. "Now you can hide among them like a plant. Hahah!" he said while wiping away a tear of laughter.
