caliber scarfed down another sandwich, and looked at the shoes ice had presented. "alright!" he said, as he put them on, "these are perfect!" he got up on them, as to get used to them. but when he got up..."oh...ugh...i think...i think i ate too much," he said, as he laid down on the floor. "why? why do i always eat too much?" sprawled out on the floor, he was just waiting for the waves of pain from his stomach to subside.

Tyra blinked down at the strange shoes, and glanced up at Blizzard.

"I was born and raised in the Frozen North," she boasted, smirking, "I am very used to dealing with ice on my own!"

 

Nonetheless, she took the shoes with a grin. "However I appreciate the help, so many thanks."

 

She began slipping them on; they indeed fitted comfortably. "Hm, I suppose I could use these..."

Blizzard thought to himself, "Wow Ty looks cute in those---- oh what am I thinking? I gotta get my mind outta the gutter." Then he spoke aloud, "I'm gonna go give Raid his set of shoes and maybe we can go out and scout another area before the storm hits." He then went outside to Radiant who was "guarding" the tavern door, "Hey Raid, here I got you something. Ice grip shoes! That way, you won't slip on the ice! You like 'em?"

Radiant looked at Blizzard with a confused look on his face and looked down at the shoes that he was holding out. Radiant took the shoes from him and inspected them "Thank you, how much do I owe you for these?" Radiant asked as he slid them over his hooves.

Tyra met the two stallions outside once she'd finished her meal, her eyes fixed to the ground as she tried to get used to these new shoes.

"I must say, I am not really used to wearing things over my hooves," she admitted, lifting each hoof up to inspect it, "as comfortable as they are."

 

She noticed that Radiant was indeed 'guarding' the door, and she started glancing around the street.

"Is there trouble?" She grinned, narrowing her eyes.

Blizzard laughed, "Oh no, I'm your friend, and friends like to do favors for each other. I'm just doing this because I care, and want everpony to be safe on the slippery mountains. Go ahead try them on! Hmmm...." Blizzard looked at his map, "I was thinking today we could scout another area out for any signs of what we're looking for. Anypony up for it?"

Radiant felt uncomfortable taking something for free from some pony "Alright but I owe you one." He said as he completely strapped the ice shoes onto his hooves. Radiant noticed Tyra come outside looking down at her hooves.

 

Radiant look slightly dumbfounded feeling a little embarassed "Uh, no trouble I just couldn't stand the sight of caliber eating his weight in sandwiches. I came out here for some air and just stood outside the door. I guess because of how much I stand at attention in canterlot it has become a habit whenever I'm just standing still." He said as he stretched his neck. "I'm not much of one for scouting, I'm more the one to send in after the scouting."

caliber was rolling around in pain, when he heard the other gathering outside. he stood up, and dusted himself off. he walked outside, to find the others were talking about where to go, and how much sandwiches he ate. "well, ice, i think we should go back to tha cave. ya know, the one with what i believe to be the ice elemental master cave?" he bucked his sword to his back. "who wants to kill a ice master?!"

Blizzard shruged, "Suit yourself, I gotta move! I can't stand being in one place for too long, anypony else wanna scout with me? Caliber, you and me let's go try out a new area and see if we can't kill anything more dangerous out there!"

OOC: The remark about Tyra was a Thought! You can't hear Blizzard's thoughts!

Radiant looked at Caliber "As much as I'd like to fight something where I may actually feel the need to draw my weapons, we are here on a job. We should probably wait around for our guide... even though I have yet to see mane or tail of him since last night." He said looking back at his bag. 'I would like a chance to take out my weapons for once, it's been too long since I have felt the need to use them' He thought to himself.

"Oh yes, I nearly forgot about that," Tyra nodded up at Radiant, and glanced around herself for their contact.

 

She pouted as she saw neither hide or hair of Tybalt. "I hope he has a good excuse for making us wait...like a powerful monster's lair!"

She smirked, getting fired up to fight such a creature.

Blizzard was frank, "Well if you guys are gonna stand around, I'm gonna get movin'!" Blizzard then skates off to his specified area of inspection, "I'll see you guys later, ON THE MOVE, OUTTA MY WAY, COOL PONY COMIN' THROUGH!!!" "Now to get to that uninspected area," he thought.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant watched as the rambunctious pony skated off to where ever he intended to go. Radiant let out a sigh putting his hoof to his face "guess I should follow him make sure he doesn't go getting himself killed, I do owe him one afterall." Radiant said as he begun to trudge through the snow. He looked back at the other two "Perhaps someone should wait around for Tybalt so he doesn't think we abandoned him." He looked forward again and began galloping through the snow trying to catch up to Blizzard.

Blizzard was on the move and then slowed down, "Ok this is the unknown area on my map. Remember, stay focused, stay, alive." As he trotted, he didn't find anything or anypony, "Well nothing as far as I can see, I'm gonna check off this place on the map." Then he saw Radiant, "Hey Raider, what's up? Finally decided to join me eh? Now we can become closer friends!" He then closed his eyes and gloated a bit, "Haha! I knew nothing dangerous was out here!" Blizzard then heard growling, "Woah what's that?!" Then out of the ground came some ball shaped spiky ice elementals that were enemies. "Uh-oh time to fight Raid help me out here! Shattering Drop Kick!"

With Blizzard and Radiant dashing off, just Tyra and Caliber were left at the tavern.

"I suppose we shall wait for him then?" She muttered to the stallion, curiously brushing at the snow with her new shoes.

 

She'd never needed such things before; all this snow and ice was nothing to her, considering she was born and raised in it. Granted she hadn't the best grip on ice, so perhaps these strange shoes would help?

 

She hoped Tybalt would come soon; she was feeling an itch for a fight.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant finally caught up to Blizzard who was looking at a map "I was only following to repay the debt I owe and make sure you didn't get yourself killed." He stated starting to look at the map.

 

Suddenly larger ice elemental erupted form the ground that were covered in spikes. "Blizz I don't think it's a good idea to fight hoof to spike!" He exclaimed as Blizz ignored him charging in. Radiant levitated four of what appeared to be sword hilts out of his bag and suddenly golden magical blades appeared from the hilts.

 

Radiant quickly levitated the four magical swords ahead ahead of Blizzard and cut the spikes off of the elemental that Blizzard was jumping for. Radiant then impaled the blades into four other elementals and cut them in half, only leaving the one for Blizzard. Radiant dispelled the blades of his weapons and returned the hilts to his bag. "Didn't think i'd use those so soon." He said closing his bag.

"yeah, i guess so." caliber replied, "i wonder how will we pass the time..." he looked at her. "you thinking what im thinking?" he got up, and un-sheathed his sword. "wanna duel?" caliber asked, 'this is perfect!' caliber thought, 'i'll finally get to see the strength of a shatterhoof!'

Tyra's ears perked up at the sound of moving steel, and she turned to see Caliber had unsheathed his sword and was giving her a competitive look.

 

"A duel?" She repeated, and fixed him with a confident smirk as she reached back and grabbed her axe, clenching the hilt between her teeth, "Very well, we shall have to keep our skills sharp for the next battle!"

 

That was the reason she'd given him, but honestly she was bored and never resisted a challenge.

"You're forgetting Raid, that I am an ice elemental myself, and I purposefully equipped my hooves with spike resistance so I won't get hurt." He said as he destroyed the last enemy. "Anyway, thanks for showing up, I'm surprised to see you came all the way out here to see if I was alright, I guess we really are friends right?" He then extends his hoof to Raid for a brohoof.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant glanced down at blizzard's hoof and let out a sigh turning his eyes upward. He extended his hoof knocking it against Blizzard's "Alright now maybe we should head back before you get yourself in more trouble. We are still needing to meet with Tybalt, wherever he may be." Radiant stated turning back toward town gestured his for Blizzard to follow.

caliber walked outside, with tyra following behind. he walked a little, then turned to give them a little space between them. "are ya ready?" caliber asked, raising his sword, "you aint never fight someone like me." caliber was thinking, 'should i use kendo? battou-jutsu? maybe even way of the wanderer? ill know when she makes the first move.'

Tyra snorted, her smirk oozing with confidence as she stared down Caliber.

"I am," she nodded, lowering herself down to prepare herself.

 

Yelling a battle cry, she began charging toward the stallion, snow crunching beneath her hooves, and she leapt up to attempt a downward slash.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant continued toward town hoping Blizzard would follow. He was in sight of the town and in the distance could see Tyra and Caliber charging at each other with weapons drawn. He let out a sigh of exasperation  dropping his head for a second "Must I be the babysitter in this group, why couldn't I of been sent on a solo mission like usual..." he said to himself and increased his walking speed toward town forgetting about Blizzard for a second with the new situation arising.

caliber side-stepped, and attempted a kick to her side, which landed. it didn't do much damage, though, as she swung the axe in an ark back at him, he jumped into the air. while he was airborne, he was thinking, 'maybe way of the wanderer is the way to go,' he thought, as he spun downwards, and upon hitting the ground, spinning horizontally, his sword slashing with him.

Tyra stumbled from the kick, shaking her head as she watched him lower back down to the ground and start spinning toward her.

 

Defence stance, she thought to herself, arching her head to the side with the blade out to deflect the rapid strikes. Just like how father showed me.

 

Each rapid strike clashed against the axe blade, sending cascades of sparks this way and that as Tyra stood her ground.
