Rigel chuckled. "not quite. But you look pretty close. I've got some food and water here, if you want, and I can grab another blanket. You'll have to stay here at the entrance for the night." he set a plate of salad and a sandwich next to him, as well as a glass of water. "unfortunately, our medic is really exhausted right now and waking her up would be a bad idea."

Jack crawled to the food and gobbled it down, "thanks, I haven't eaten in 2 days, I'll honestly eat anything you put in front of me, not only that, but I'm happy to see that I'm not the only creature left on this planet" after he eat all the food, he rested, " you know, this is the first time I've been able to rest in relative safety"

Plasma walked up to Legacy`s door & knocked on it.

After gulping down the water, Jack asked "if you don't mind me asking, if this isn't hell, then where exactly am I?"

Plasma turned to Jack.

"An underground base."

Silvermane shifted in his sleep, thinking of the memories that plauged him in the past. The thoughts of Melody returning into his life made matters worse. He then remembered the horrible night that the dragon nearly killed him, the blaze still alight in his mind. He then suddenly awoke panting and shaking. His gears returning to their original humming. He then looked at Plasma and Jack sitting next to him, and pulled himself together.

 

"Well, sorry about that guys, just a nightmare I suppose. Cant say Ive seen you two yet. Im Silvermane, a new arival here. Who are you?"

(Yea, well me and AbstergoTempest are bored here. Can we get a time skip to morning or something, or do we gotta suffer through the 0 posts? Or should we pull some BS thing and wake up to keep events going?)

(It's mainly because of Evilshy. Since he's running the game, he's the one with the master plan. Plus, everyone's raving over the new chat so it'll be a while... I can try getting my character running again, but I think that'll prove ineffective.)

(ok, this sort of dragging by, so... time skip. It's now 2 days later. All the new guys have been checked and found to be trustworthy. Everybody has been introduced, so we all know each others names and whatnot, but not backstory, so you can all still develop your characters however you want. Garth isn't back yet, and has spent this time searching for nightshade)

 

(everybody is now in the meeting room. Whoever wants to can take control over natural and gizmo.)

 

 

Legacy sat at the head of the table. "okay, we need to go after the fire element soon. We've lost a few fighters, but we've gained some as well. Garth left me in charge when he left, and I don't think we can afford to wait till he's back. I think we should leave tomorrow, so spend today preparing, and make sure you get plenty of rest. Any questions?"

 

(also, I'm probably going to skip directly to us going through the portal, since this thread is pretty long already.)

Jack spoke up "how are we going to go about getting this element? Do you have a plan? Or are making this up as we go?"

"While we're on the topic of travel, are we looking at volcanoes everywhere or lava seeping through the cracks?" Agent added while still playing with his stone dagger.

"well, we know the general location of Ignite's stronghold, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. As for the nature of his realm, I can't say for sure, but I think rampant vulcanism is probable. However, I have done some analysis on Ignite, and his magical powers aren't quite as sophisticated as Frosts were, so I should be able to use at least some of my more powerful magics. That should help us get past extreme terrain. Unfortunately, what he lacks in finesse, he makes up for with strength, so I expect the actual battle to be harder than the battle with frost."

Melody stared at the table, refusing to look around at the others for fear of making eye contact with Silvermane. A dull throb assaulted her temples.She shuddered at the word 'Fighters'.

Not more than a few years ago, we I was just a performers. Now we fight for our lives.

 

 

 

Sforzando sat next to melody and stared directly at Silvermane. He was unclear on what happened between him and his sister, but he was sure it must have been awful for Melody. She hadn't touched her flute and had cried for the first time in at least a decade. Not only that, but she had been drinking too. And not just the normal amount - she was in competition to pass him in alcohol consumed before being knocked out - She was drinking to forget. He worried for her mental health.

 

Both remained silent and merely listened to the conversation.

Silvermane looked at Melody and Sforzando. He knew his presence in their lives was a liability to them, and the rest of the group. His nightmares came back after years of self rehabilitation. He remembered everything that went wrong in his life from leaving Melody, to the dragon blast, to losing part of his mortal self. He had to repair what gears and cogs could not; a broken relationship.

 

He remained focused on the conversation, his gears churning and humming as he did so.
