...Diamond Tiara didn't need friends. Aside from Silver Spoon, they had all been money-grubbing backstabbers since the day that she had first began to make them, just like her mother. She was better off without them.

...So why did she want one so badly? Having somepony who actually listened to her was weird enough in itself, but having somepony who could understand her... had never actually happened. Not once. Was that why she was feeling this way?

As her thoughts continued, they just as soon ended on one conclusion; she absolutely hated all of this slow stuff. Mental anguish and deliberating had never been her strong suit; if she wanted something, she went straight for it without stopping. And today wouldn't be any different.

"Okay." Diamond Tiara said with slight exasperation as she rolled up off of the box, being careful not to harm her tiara. "Let's be friends."

@,

Blizzard was trying to maintain his balance while standing on his head. When he heard the filly speak, he was overjoyed, "Real--uh, woah.." he fell over onto his back, and got up. "Really? Awesome!"

He went over, and hugged her again, "You won't be sorry, Diamond Tiara. I'll be the greatest friend you ever had....after Silver Spoon of course."

He let go of her, and felt very happy, "I love to make new friends, and I'm glad to have met you. But I hate that it's still storming...." he suddenly felt hungry again. Apparently that apple from earlier wasn't enough. Unfortunately, he could see nowhere to get food, other than...a vending machine? He had to turn on the lights to get a better look.

And surely enough, on the far end of the storage room, Ice saw a working vending machine. The machine was there for the loading ponies who wanted to buy snacks. It was filled with all kinds of foods and treats. Blizzard's stomach grumbled with hunger, "Ugh...hey DT, look! A vending machine!" He walked up to it, "DT come look, it has all kinds of stuff in here! It's still working too. You want something?"

Wilhelm smiled at the expression on Annette's face and then took a bite of his own pasta. A single eyebrow raised, and the edge of his mouth quirked up to form a small smile. "This really is quite excellent." At that point, he abandoned simple language and dug in, washing down occasional bites with a prim sip of wine.

When he finished, he leaned back in his chair, belly pleasantly full. He wiped his muzzle of whatever spots of food might be present, and then got up from the table to mock-bow before Annette, gesturing with one hoof towards the dance floor. "May I have this dance, milady?"

Vinyl was partially attentive to Rune while she was also trying to balance the shot glass on the tip of her muzzle. She played with it, as it balanced; flimsily, upon her maw for roughly 20 seconds until she knocked it off her nose to respond to Rune without the risk of breaking the glass.

"Adorable," she laughed, "You've got to be kidding me, I'd look like a little pansy filly. I'm not doing that," she continued to laugh as she placed emphasis on the word, "not."

"But...," she started, "I am suggesting we do the song, seems like it's your kind of song anyway. Just no Nyan Dancing, ok?" She raised a curious eyebrow at Rune. She was enjoying herself but not enough to agree to hurt her image as a party mare.

Fluttershy was looking down at the table, playing with her hooves; twirling them around and around, inaudibly clapping them together as she remained a light red color. She was slipping into her usual shy,  socially uncooperative self. Although she knew she was, she tried not to let Kevin worry, as she was afraid it would draw more focused attention to herself, "Um, no. I'm fine." She lied as ravenous thoughts continued to run through her head and eat away at her already minute and unobtrusive confidence.

Celestia had saw at least the back half of Night Tracer's fight with her sister, and she had to admit that he was right; speed and agility were both traits that he had in abundance. There weren't many that could outmanuever an alicorn, let alone Princess Luna.

"Just remember that strength is not everything. It is very possible to make it here on your own abilities, if you use them well." she said with she thought should be comforting words. She then settled back to ask her question.

"Night Tracer, would you ever want to have children?"

@Orion Caelum

Anette took the hoof, smiling brightly; she had been hoping for this moment. A chance to be closer to Wilhelm, the love of her life, was worth anything. So what if she couldn't dance a lick?

Anette stepped out of her seat, giving a mock curtsy and bow as she lightly grasped his hoof. "Why, ah do believe ya can, darling." she said, adopting a pretty southern accent as she did so. She then paused, eyes sparking with fire; she wanted to go out there and destroy the dance floor, but she would let Wilhelm take her out. She could wait that long.

--------

Diamond Tiara walked over to the vending machine to get a better look. Sure enough there were treats and things of all kinds. Diamond Tiara fished around in the saddlebag that she carried around, and pulled out a small stack of bits, enough to easily buy anything they wanted in the vending machine, probably the box itself. And she hadn't even gotten to the gold bits yet.

"Okay, what do you want?" she asked, preparing to stick a bit in the machine. She had enough money to give him whatever he wanted, whenever he needed it, and she figured that was fine. This was what friends did for each other, right?

Night Tracer was able to shoot back an answer almost instantly, but he didn't. He had an answer but one he constantly second guessed. After several seconds of hesitation, "Yes, I would." He muttered rather unconfidently which was out of character for him not to be bold about his decisions. "However, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm ready for one, especially, with Luna."

@,

Blizzard thought for a moment, "Hm, maybe I should let her purchase something. I wouldn't want to take away her chance at acting friendly, so..here we go."

He looked through the machine until he saw what he wanted, "..Bottle of cola, aand the cupcake pastries. You getting anything?"

@,

Kevin and his swarm could tell something was wrong with Fluttershy, "Nope. As I can tell, this is not normal. I haven't seen anyone act like this in a very long time. And the only select few of those ponies have either had a mental issue, some personal issues, or a very messed up upbringing. But I won't dive into it."

"Ok. So what about marine animals, like fish? Interested in them?"

It was the proper answer, but was it the right one? Night Tracer was hard to read, and Celestia couldn't tell if he was being truthful of not. She decided to let it sit, confident that he was responsible enough to control himself when...

She blinked twice.

"Night Tracer, I believe it's your question," she said, clearing her thoughts.

@,

Night Tracer didn't know his next question was going to force Celestia to put her thoughts to reality but it was sort of his intent, even if it he didn't know for sure. "What would you think of Luna and I, having children?" He questioned, as he didn't know whether she thought of it positively or negatively. Guess he would soon know.

Celestia magically filled her glass with water just for the sheer benefit of throwing it down. She should have known that this question would have come up in response to hers. Time to give him a straight answer.

"Night Tracer, it is not about what I think. A world centered around alicorns is a dangerous place, even for someone such as yourself. For foals, especially alicorn foals, it would be even more so. And with the amount of times Equestria has been caught off guard in the past few years, I believe it's only going to get worse. I would be delighted if you did, but this world is simply not a safe enough place for what you are asking. I am sorry."

She really was, especially since the thought of foals had crossed her own mind on a few occasions. It was yet another sacrifice made as ruler of Equestria, although this one managed to hurt more than most.

Diamond Tiara was hungry, but she passed it off. Most ponies would eat, but she could wait until she made it back to her apartment and got some real food. Silver Spoon had always loved to cook, anyway.

"No thanks, I can wait, i'm not really all that hungry anyway." she replied instead to Ice Blizzard as she went through the process of putting her bits back into her purse.

As Bulk Biceps was working out in the gym, his blood pressure rose so high and he had a heartattack which resulted in his tragic death. Bummer...

@@Star Saber,

Pinkie Pie happily bounced up and down while listening to Ash; she didn't seem like she was listening but indeed she was and very closely. "Of course I'm nice, if I wasn't, I wouldn't be a very good friend would I," She chortled and pulled down his muzzle only for it to spring back up and vibrate like a wire door stop.

As it began to pour down cold rain, Ash directed them to an area where they would be safe from the elements, Pinkie Pie followed, trusting in Ash's sense of direction.

@,

@,

Treehugger danced around in the precipitation as it fell on her head, as well as all over her body. As raindrops trickeled from her forehead down her muzzle and onto the ground; splattering one by one. She let out a relaxed sigh in addition to a deep moan. She incoherently strolled with a golden ticket in hoof.

As she lazily approached the dinner hall, she saw a rather odd looking pony; being Naga, out in the rain, trying to get a glimpse insider, "Woah, who are you?" She said to him, "Nice locks," she said in reference to his dreadlocked mane.

Naga had been trying to obtain a glimpse upon the party goings as he peered through a window. Of course, the rain was making the attempt fairly difficult, as the water that was flowing downward on the window obscured much to him. Even still, one pairing stood out in the blur. The first familiar silhouette was that of a great, Snow White pony, with a mane flowing as a river, and multicolored as a rainbow. An alicorn. Naga's eyes grew a bit wider as he realized that there was only one princess who could've possibly matched that description; Celestia. A princess of Equestria, here of all places?

The one she appeared to be speaking to was a tad bit more obscure, but was obviously not s fellow alicorn. From Naga could see, it was a Pegasus sitting at the same table. And it was one of which was a very familiar shade of blue, with black streaks in his hair.

" By the samsara, be it Night Tracer that my eye spies through the glass-"

As he was busy mumbling to himself, trying to piece together what he was seeing, Naga was then interrupted by a quaint, green mare with locks that were indeed reminiscent of his own, save that hers were thicker, and lacked the golden rings at the end of each braid. Naga, turning to face her as he heard her compliment, ceased all matter of intense thinking on the matter, and smiled warmly at her. Speaking in a semi-excited tone, Naga returned her compliment with one of his own.

" Oi, and a fine mane ya have yerself, miss! Why, yer a splittin' image o' some of me dear ol' friends back in Eiquet, that ya are! Of course, if yer anything like me and tryin' to place yer physical vessel inside that halabaloo, then ya might be straight outta karmic luck. I got turned away for lookin' like a hippie... Wha'ever a hippie is. I haven't been this shunned since I went to Saduaris, heh!"

Of course, it was very apparent that he had to force a smile. His eyes would betray him, and a glint of disappointment could be found in those light-brown eyes of his.

Blizzard pushed the buttons, and got what he wanted from the machine. "Thanks DT." He popped the top off his soda bottle, and drank a bit of it. He looked at the clock, and then asked Diamond Tiara, "So, when this storm is over, do you think you could take me to meet your friend Silver Spoon? From what you tell me, she sounds pretty nice. So I'd like to meet her."

The storm raged on. It seemed at this point, that it would keep raining until morning.

Night Tracer was not impressed nor in agreement with Celestia's answer yet he didn't want to straight up tell her that she didn't know for sure so he took a slightly less defensive route, "You don't know what I'm capable of. You don't know what baby Alicorns are capable of as you've never had one, so what makes you think you know for certain that it won't turn out alright? Or are you just assuming?" He accused.

Whether or not it could be noticed; he was holding back his tongue from saying what was truly on his mind, "Whether or not you think it's a good choice is entirely up to you. whether or not I do is a different story. Understand that while I may not see eye to with you, as wrong as you think I am, and as right as I think I am. It couldn't be settled as no Alicorns are hopping around for us to judge," He boldly stated, giving her a bit of tone as it's not something he was nor wanted to except. "Your question," he stated in an attempt to move on and rather hastily.

Celestia eye creased dangerously; Night Tracer had overstepped his boundaries in talking to her. It was only his last words that prevented her from reprimanding him; It wasn't something they would know until it happened. Still, Celestia hoped that Night Tracer would heed her words, and that her sister was already under the same impression that she was.

"Night Tracer, do you have any family?"

Diamond Tiara shrugged. Right now, Silver Spoon should be at home, sleeping. She had no idea how she would react to Ice Blizzard, though, so she couldn't tell him. She figure their was only one way to find out, though.

Lorec, continuing his rampage of carnage, prepared to swing with all of his might.... Until, of course, Tyra had decided to change up the game plan once again. Instead of charging to take the blow head on, Tyra had stepped to the side at the last second and stuck her hoof out in order to cause him to fall.

Succumbing to the raw instinct of the Ursa King and his body starting to tear at itself due to the strain, Lorec was unable to adapt to this otherwise uncanny tactic. And being unable to adapt, Lorec would fall victim to the oldest strategy of warriors: being tripped.

Failing to foresee this, Lorec was sent head forward into the stone wall. The result was quite substantial; his massive girth and force of the charge had caused his entire body to cave through the stone wall, leaving a hole about his size in the giant Ursa, revealing the light of day to Tyra. Now there was only one problem.... Lorec himself was suffering a fall that was about sixty feet from the ground. And it would be within seconds that he would hit the Earth. However, during his fall, he pulled his left fist back as if he were going to punch at the very ground itself, almost as if he were going to use his arm as a cushion and a brake to stop him from receiving the full impact. Was he really willing to sacrifice a limb to keep fighting?

Which meant he had truly done something to himself, or there was someone...or something else controlling him.

The huge, Lorec-sized hole left by the minotaur's impact let in some refreshing sunshine, causing her to shield her eyes from being accustomed to the dark innards of the behemoth. She trotted over and looked down at the sixty-foot drop...which her opponent was hurdling down.

Suddenly fearing the worst, especially with Lorec's state of mind taken into consideration, she took a few paces back before sprinting out the hole with a leap and diving toward her opponent.

Hopefully she could help him in time...

As Lorec was about to hit the ground, he let loose his fist towards the ground with all of the tension built up towards the blow. Sending his fist downward, Lorec impacted upon the ground, sending a heavy spray of debris, stones, and dust into the air around him.

A crater, ten feet in radius and three feet deep at the lowest point had been created from the epicenter of Lorec's landing... Was the Minotaur indeed okay? The after all, the debris and the dust was covering much of the landing zone...

As the dust slowly cleared from Lorec's impact crater, the behemoth Minotaur could be seen, although, he was in a most unperferable condition...

Hunched over, Lorec was standing, using his sword almost like a cane, putting weight on it with his right arm.

His left arm, however, hung limp, and was bleeding profusely, along with the wound in his side. He had indeed sacrificed his arm in order to save himself from greater damage. Trying to move his dominant arm was futile. It was, at this point, out of commission for the fight. Not only was the arm seemingly broken, but muscular blowout was evident within it as well...

Lorec, still resting and hunched over, was even coughing up blood profusely at this point. But even still, he said nothing, gave no indication of wanting to stop the fight. He stood there, a wounded beast, looking at Tyra defiantly.
