All this time, I've been having lot's of problems with my so called ''friends'' none of them like me anymore, not because I watch mlp, but because they are assholes. I don't even want to be their friends, but sadly, everyone is like that my age. I want friends that can be there for me, and not call me a faggot and laugh at me. If more people watched mlp fim, maybe they could learn something, and be better people, and friends.

same here, but no need to worry my friends are like that too. Yesterday I was in a game of Halo:Reach and it was 3vs2 and ALL of them made fun of me made jokes about dashie etc. They hate me but I don't care there is the forums and the rest on the internet on my side. They aren't your real friends

I've lost all my friends now, even the ones that have been with me for several years. And libertina, I was saying that maybe people if people took an example from FiM, people could be better friends/people in general. Well, I'm forever alone for the summer now, so I'm most likely gonna spend the summer inside, by myself, playing tf2, and other games. Since none of my friends like me or want me with them.

I already told you, this whole thing is not about ponies, I lost 2 friends months ago because of ponies, but this had to do with something else. The loss of these friends had nothing to do with mlp.

Name calling is pretty harsh... but yeah, sometimes it can be tough out there as a brony.

 

Luckily I got the bestest friends you could ask for. Forget ponies, I could walk around in dresses and high heels around them... even though that'd be quite the bizarre oddity.

 

I think if you lose a friend to liking a cartoon show, no matter what it is, then they were never really a friend at all. It's true, if more people learned from ponies then it would be a much happier place overall. At least if they believed in the very basic rule, "love and tolerate".

Well, looking at it from too high of a perspective can really put you down in the dumps.

 

On the lower hand, you have Equestria posing as a utopia. Keeping this in mind, do you have MANY friends that act as well as friends do in Equestria? Also, using a certain... logic, the same can be "proved": Magic has no proof to exist in our dimension, and since Friendship IS Magic, there is no true friendship...

 

On the higher hand, people can learn loads just from listening to the endings of each episode, and develop such a friendship! I must say though, I am surprised that most people don't do these sorts of things, such as learning lessons from cartoons.

I do have to admit, I have learned few things myself from the show in addition to improving my overall outlook on things. Yeah, friends can be assholes and such, but if they're there for you in the end, they're still friends aren't they? And if all they do is single you out for their personal enjoyment, I don't quite understand how that even makes them friends. I went through the whole "fandom is way better than IRL friends" phase myself, but now I'm balancing both my other and brony friends quite nicely. Once you figure out who your true friends are, you won't need to worry about be treated like crap, because the ones who don't respect the fact that you don't like it aren't true friends.

Sadly, that's how everyone is where I live, alot of the friends that left me were ones that I was very close with before. We were friends for several years, sadly, that's not how it is anymore.
