Sorry about that.  I had typed it up as a post, and then the forum went down.  Here it is:

 

Aurora is aware that between here and Zecora's place, there would normally be any variety of creatures that might be encountered.  Given the time of year though, and the nightfall, the most likely to encounter are small packs of creatures commonly called "phantom cats", shadowy creatures about the size of a medium-sized dog.  Alone, they're pretty docile and hunt for smaller prey.  In numbers, however, they have been known to take down a timber wolf together.

 

The weather's warming, so there's also the slim chance of encountering a cockatrice.

Owls literally made out of shadow. Average-sized, but extremely aggressive and only vulnerable to steel and silver. If you don't kill them with the aforementioned materials, they will reform. Only weapons are talons and beak. When they die, their blood is a slightly viscous, iridescent black liquid.

They could still be around.  They also might have fled after the one you killed earlier.

Alex:  That's right, 3 dice for everything in the game (except damage rolls if necessary).  Your Hearing level is 9, so you rolled a -2.
