No, they don't have a hivemind.  And yes, they're still secret; remember that the events of the show didn't happen in this timeline.

For the recent things you're checking, I would say first to roll Naturalist (Equestria) to see what you know about phantom cats, and then roll IQ to see whether or not your Animal Empathy can tell you anything.  Finally, roll Animal Handling (Land-based animals) to see what you're able to do with them.

Don't know what roll that will be. However when Aurora levels up and gains enough points for it, I would like to take the Companion perk.

 

 

Or whatever allows Aurora to have a beast fight besides her.

This continued as part of your successful animal handling roll.

 

For a few points, you could definitely take an Ally that serves as an animal companion.  (If you noticed in my last post, I'm even setting up a possible future companion for you.)

Once I provide some additional points, you can definitely spend them in a piloting skill.  That will probably be either after this phantom cat encounter, or after you make it to Zecora's.
