request Need cover art for my fic

So i'm doing a fic about Rain Crasher and Solar Runner, a friendship that seems impossible to break. But one fateful day Solar breaks a promise he mean to keep and the guards catch wind of it and arrest Rain and imprison him. He spends 15 years in that cell, Solar never visiting or writing him once. its not until after Rain release date comes that he finally gathers the courage to apologize to him. But upon reaching the prison gates, Solar is greeted by the sight of Rain; coming out of the gates. he tries to apologize, but Rain won't hear it, Solar had broken his trust. But before leaving, Rain hits Solar to remind him never to follow or try to find him.

That is what i'm doing, but i need a cover of Rain sitting in a prison cell on one side, and Solar sitting in his home on the other, feeling bad about breaking the promise. I don't care what style you use, as long as it fits the theme of the story.

Fimfiction site will re-size it to a maximum of 250 x 400px, so think you show me both ways? It will make it easer to decide.

Its the writing that becomes stressful for me, I just end up like this in a few hours:

I'll draw a real quick (and ugly) sketch tomorrow and send it to you to see if I got the characters and situation right, and if you'll find it okay, I'll start working on the actual picture ASAP.

But I have to leave for today, it is already bedtime, and tomorrow's school.. My parents would kill me if I started sketching right now. XD

Uh, sorry, I might not be able to draw even a little sketch today... Turns out I have to read The Odyssey by tomorrow and write an article about it. I just logged on to tell you this, I am terribly sorry.    I will start drawing tomorrow.

So, here is the really quick sketch, I can make thousands of these for it takes no time, so feel free to point out mistakes, or stuff you'd like to be changed.
What I am curious about is if they are in character, if the composition is alright, if I should add something (like a table), etc. Yes the quality is low, but it is nowhere close to that of the final image. It wasn't even drawn in the program I am going to use.
So without further ado, here it is:

 

 

PS.: I'd like to ask you to do one more thing.   Send me a transparent background version of their CMs, if possible, because I don't really like drawing CMs. Of course, if you don't have the files, or you want them to be drawn again to blend in with the rest of the picture, I can draw them, it's not such a brig problem.

PSS.: If you can't see it well because of the sketchiness, Solar Runner is also holding a glass between his two hooves.

So here's what i need changed:

 

RC and SR facing each other with table between them, they're going to be doing this in a bar. But Solar has more tolerance than Rain does.

Oh this will be glorious...

I'm sorry, i'm getting too excited over this story; its hard to control myself.

About the BG, I am horrible at drawing stuff like that, so it was traced from a photo I found on Google image search. It turned out horrible that way to, that is why it's blurred. Also, the blur drives the viewers attention to the two ponies.

The ponies are not yet drunk, because I could imagine a scene at the beginning of the contest better than the middle. I hope it's okay.

I do have a backup file with all the layers still separate, so I can change stuff if you want them changed, or I can send you the xcf file (for GIMP) if you want to change it yourself.

About their cutie marks, Solar Runner's is obviously covered by the table, and let's say Rain Chaser's is too, because I couldn't really get it right, and it's colours seemed not to be fitting for the colour scheme of the whole picture, and drew too much attention to Rain Chaser's flank. Of course, if it's lack really bugs you, I can add it.

 

Also, I'd like to ask if I can upload this to my dA account. I will provide a link to the story itself, if you'd like me to of course.
