TheJLeeTeam 914 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 I would figure there would be an equal amount of female MLP fans as well. 1 My blog post on Starting Fresh with MLP:FiM: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2076/entry-16988-im-starting-fresh-with-mlp-fim/
Lulaypp 2,555 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 I think female fans call themself Pegasisters. Because Brony sounds like Brother Pony and pegasister sounds like pegasus sister. I don't know what do youbguys think but tell me if you think it is wrong.... I'll try to edit it... And also I think that people don't fuss about female fans. There are alot of anti-bronies but I never heard if anti-pegasisters before. 1 Comic Sans Is Awesomer Than You Think Bersama Kita Berjuang, Bersama Kita Tentukan Masa Hadapan, Kita Masih Di Sini I was already missing before the night I left, Me and my shadow and my regrets, Who am I? Moonlight 7,287 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 (edited) It's mostly because there was a pretty big following before the brony fandom showed up and said fandom was made of mostly females. And since men joined in they had to make up a dumb gendered name and be as loud as possible about their oh-so-impressive interest in a little girls cartoon. It's not so much that there are more males than females fans of the show, it's just a matter that men are more talkative/loud about it since females are target audience. I like this post, and I would 'like' it, but this fandom had to masculinize even the forum liking system! 3 Everything needs more woodwind! Frostgage 7,975 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 I'm not sure if there are actually more male fans, or if they're just more outspoken/receive more attention. I think the ratio is probably fairly equal. 2 Signature by Lacerna | You should fill out my Johari Window. All the cool kids are doing it.

cider float 2,538 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 I guess that since this whole fandom is an internet oriented one. Maybe it's because males are more common on the internet than females where you will usually find My Little Pony related things which would make you curious enough to give the show a try and become a Brony. 30. There are NO girls on the internet. http://rulesoftheinternet.com/index.php?title=Main_Page There is some truth to that.

It does sometimes seem like the internet is 70% male or at least in the not so mainstream areas of the internet which would include this fandom I guess. Singe 2,111 May 18, 2015 Share May 18, 2015 A portion of the fan-base draw would come from Lauren Faust herself who worked on The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. They would check out FIM since her name is on the credits.
