My Years-Worth Feedback

Seeing as the Feedback brief states I can say what I "don't like", I'll post that last and start with what I "like". I'm going to be blunt, feel free to lock or delete. I'll keep it short and to the point with adding the important details.

What I like

1. I like the design and interface of the site itself, having many topics to discuss various things. Also, necro-bumping is encouraged so old topics can remain, instead of cluttering with the same topic. It keeps discussion alive.

2. It's the most active forum of MLP, even though there are several dedicated to the show, they aren't as fun to post in as with here. I'm guessing the determination and commitment of prospering site growth is what separates it from the rest.

3. It's updated constantly. Not to be confused with most active since a lot of sites are active but aren't updated as frequently. That includes new banners for example, which keeps things looking fresh.

4. Spam/trolls are quickly removed. I remember having followed a forum section and noticing an advertising member promoting money-making ideas to sell. As soon as I noticed it, it was gone. I couldn't even attempt to see what it was about. Swift action I say. I haven't seen any anti-bronies on here yet (which what I referred to as trolls rather than just the regular jerk), which is good since it doesn't help by stating an opinion over an interest that no one has control over.

5. Overall the members here are more welcoming. Sure, I get a negative reply or rude comment here and there, but that's the use of having the block feature for.

What I don't like

1. Quick punishments. Upon being called names by a handful of members on a blog I long before deleted, a mod deemded it justifiable to place me in wrong-doing. It was a chaotic mess of rude remarks and insults, which soon after reading enough of it, was removed by me. There was even a situation where upon trying to log on, I noticed I was permanently banned from the site from abusive behavior and having no absolute knowledge of the occurrence of it happening. I came to the conclusion it was more personal, but after a month of disputes, here I am. I still don't know if it was because of me being diverse or just misunderstanding.

2. Staff negligence. In short, I was ignored quite a lot whenever I had an issue which needed to be addressed. Personal PM's mostly. I could send plenty of details and in return get a sentence-long reply. It wasn't helpful to be honest. I know most are busy, but noticing my message being read a long time ago makes me believe I'm being put-off. Also, some staff strike me as being elite or superior more than giving good input as a sign of welcoming.

3. "Hugs". I appreciate the gesture, but some things are better not said after the term being considered more of a troll comment than actual compassion. I discard it as meaningless since it's over-used. Especially when that's all that's said, nothing else. That's the only annoyance I've found.

So far I can't decide the outcome of recommending or disapproving. To each their own I suppose. Also, no offense intended. I know my experiences might not be good in some areas, but I took the saying what I "don't like" literally, with honest experiences included.

Has this been recently? If so it is understandable - a lot of our staff are currently taking examinations.

Has this been recently? If so it is understandable - a lot of our staff are currently taking examinations.

Quite so. My only issue being if I'm perm-banned over hardly anything worth it and quoting a mod saying they "don't take it lightly" which seemed false because it was pretty much my only offense. Slapped 1,000 points and I was out. No apology, no anything. Took a month to get noticed.

I'd prefer these kind of statements in a PM but of course I can't rely and entirely believe my questions will be answered.

Examinations would be great because if I still have concerns to an issue without resolve, somethings up. I do not want it happening to me again and I do still fear it. I think I'm just being targeted specifically because I'm more willing to state issues and yet take any punishment given - when none should have been given at all, or at least something much more reasonable. I've been harassed on this site by users and I still see them here, clearly nothing happened. I believe I did report them as well. Reporting has made me to fear my status on here.

I'm seriously questioning whether or not it's a game being played in the background without me knowing, misunderstandings, or it being personal.

(Ignore this part if you like)

So I've been put off, left in questions and lead here yet again.

1. Why was I given the harshest punishment available when it was obvious I haven't done anything major of the sort, other than minor status update occurences which still wasn't worth that conclusion? Also, why the put-off with this specific question? If mods followed protocol and investigated it better maybe it wouldn't have happened. If they all obviously agree as a team rather than look for other solutions, then it's a recipe for disaster and failure of potential growth. If it was all of them "agreeing" on perm-ban then I question my safety here.

2. Should I be worried about it happening again, whether it being a mistake or personal (as I'm not the type to cause intentional problems)?

Privacy of individuals aren't confidential. I've had mods tell other members my mental conditions and even one posted a status update of a user's offenses after perm-banning them. I know things are said because the internet is nothing but confidentiality. Gossip and rumors are worse, and I partly blame that for my troubles here. Some even point out me being sensitive, which I am to serious things such as a member talking about my mother. But that's not serious...not at all. I get in trouble for calling someone rude when they actually were.

I believe it will be my downfall nonetheless. People just need to listen to the concerns others have. Neglect is apparent but I'm also giving high hopes when I shouldn't.

Re: Confidentiality - if a member publicly discusses a warning or a ban then they wave the right to confidentiality. If a member publically reveals something it is no longer private.

Your ban was overturned. The reasons given were disclosed to you. I will be happy to resend those reasons to you in a PM. These reasons were communicated to the Moderators with an explanation to prevent it from happening again.

I will also say this: your PM's were replied to. You just have a different interpretation of what our focus is. You may not like the answers given, but they are answers.

We do not condone bullying, we do not condone retaliation, you need to report instances you are aware of, & staff may not agree that an item is actually bullying.

I was aware that I've been dealt with rude members and nothing happens. I blame it on leniency and falsely attacking me instead. Also, mentioning me being "semantic" ( which I assume meaning petty) and overly sensitive is the type of uncalled remarks I'm talking about. You say I can't call someone rude, yet it's okay to to neglect the fact that some members are jerks and no mod will ever mention it to them. It's only when someone defends themselves when it's bad. Just because you have a rank doesn't give you powers to call names either and sure, whatever happens - happens. I couldn't care less about my safety here because it's been proven faulty through many events. I could waste my time addressing it but little does that do. Call me what you want in a PM but I doubt it will be seen in places such as here. Confidential safety of authority.

My PM's may have been replied to but I wouldn't call them answers. You're welcome for the positive things I've mentioned of the site as well, and the suggestions I've given.
