Luncar followed behind them, as the went into the basement of the old home. Lunar was right behind Alex, carefully glancing around to see if his eyes could spot movement. That is what he was taught, when in a hard to see area, search for movement, as it stands out more too your senses. After they got a little deeper, he looked to Alex. " If you do not mind, I shall take up second shift with you"he said. 

 

It was odd. He had started this day alone and wandering, and was now surrounded with many new and interesting ponies and creatures. IT was an amazing day so far, getting to meet each and every one of them !

Once Radiant stepped inside the house to lead the way, Alex followed right behind him and Tyra. As she looked around in the darkness, she occasionally sniffed the air, if there was anypony or creature trying to hide still in the shadows, her heightened sense of smell would pick it up.

 

Upon hearing Lunar's voice however, she broke concentration and turned to look at him. Then, after hearing his statement of sharing the second night shift with her, the canine grinned. "Yeah, no sure. You can join me if you want. I don't mind." She replied with a nod.

Tyra followed Radiant into the basement, being led by his light spell.

"I was under the impression that all magic was gone from the world," she explained, referring to his spell, then grinned, "though, I am glad I have been proven wrong."

 

Like Alex, she instinctively sniffed at the dark air, as if she was trying to sniff something out like her ally was.

"We seem to be safe down here," she muttered.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

As Radiant reached the bottom of the stairs he turned to the side and his light spell revealed three bandits in the for side of the basement. "We got company..." He said as he drew his swords with his magic and cast his armor spell on himself. In order to sustain his armor he canceled his light spell but his fur seemed to glow a golden hue from his armor spell that veiled his body.

 

Radiant stood his ground waiting for the others to make a move.

The three bandits all were sleeping. One pegasus jolted up at the voice.

"Buck!" The pegasus swore. He jolted the other two. "Yo, guys! Company!"

The two other bandits jolted awake. One of them, another pegasus, began swearing at the first pegasus.

"You were supposed to keep watch, you nincompoop!" The second pegasus roared.

The one earth pony among them jumped to his feet. "You're both idiots. Come on, these guys look like they might have some stuff on them. Let's go." He charged.

The second pegasus jumped to his feet. "Wait! That one has magic! Don't be stupid!" The earth pony, not listening to his ally, had already pulled out a large hammer strapped to his back and attempted to smash Radiant's face in.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant let the hammer hit him on the head, his armor making it feel as if he had hit a rock. After the hammer impacted Radiant felt the draw on his magic having to absorb such a hit. In response radiant swung his swordsthrough the air with his magic  one on each side of the pony who struck him.

[Little Red 1,529]

The earth pony jumped back in shock. "Celestia's bucking wings, why does this guy have magic?!" Bull yelped.

The white pegasus with wing blades groaned. "Idiot. You two take that unicorn, I'll try and get the other guys." The pegasus spotted the diamond dog. He blinked, then his eyes narrowed. He flew towards Alex and slashed his sharpened wings at the canine.

 

The blue pegasus and Bull jumped at Radiant. "Get that side!" The pegasus called to his ally. He stepped towards Radiant and aimed a punch at his shoulder while the earth pony again swung his hammer.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

The larger pony managed to dodge Radiant's swing and then him along with one of the Pegasi came at him. Radiant had to focus on the bandits in front of him before helping the others, he blocked the hammer not wanting another impact such as that with one sword. His other sword he swung at the pegasus aiming for his wings.

Tyra perked up as the bandits and watched as Radiant and their leader entered battle.

 

Smirking, she threw off her cloak and revealed a nasty-looking double-edged axe strewn across her back on a harness, with a fur-lined leather tunic on her body.

 

She reached back and grabbed the axe in her teeth, clenching it tight as she spotted the two ponies fighting Radiant. She aimed for the pegasus and ran toward him, aiming a swing of her axe at him.

At the mention of 'company' Alex snapped back to attention, noticing the ponies in question before Radiant's light spell went out. Her eyes quickly adjusting to the new light, she reached down to her waist with her hand on the hilt of her dagger, getting into a readying stance. Though still being on the last couple flight of steps from the ground wasn't really a plus, but she'd make due until she got a better spot.

 

She was slightly impressed by the strength of Radiant's armor being able to take that much impact. But she couldn't just stand there watching and waiting for them to move... However, it didn't seem like she was given even more motivation as she took sight of the pegasus pony advancing towards her. 'Aw, come on. Pegasus are my favorite type of pony.' She thought to herself.

 

The canine growled, letting go of the dagger, she placed her hands up against the wall behind her before pushing off the wall with her feet at an angle so that she would go up and over the pegasus, flipping once before landing on a more flat terrain, turning to face her opponent and pulling out her dagger for real this time. "Alright, let's see you try that again~"

[Little Red 1,529]

The pegasus dodged back from the unicorn's sword, leaping onto his hind legs, iron-clad hooves going out in front of him when the axe hit him. He screamed, causing the other bandits to jump.

"Okay, these guys are not normal!" Bull hissed. He jumped over Radiant, hammer held in his teeth, and flew towards Tyra and attempted to smash her face in now.

The blue pegasus had stumbled back, clutching his side. "Buck! Buck!" He swore, eyes shut tightly. Gritting his teeth, he opened his eyes and glared at Tyra. "You're dead, pipsqueak!" He jumped forward. The two had all-but forgotten Radiant.

(OOC: don't forget the white pegasus is trying to go for Alex. Lunar, Chrysteel, or Alex can fight him.)

The white pegasus wheeled around to face Alex. "Haven't seen a diamond dog before," he commented, smirking. "I guess this'll be the last time. Sorry in advance. But non-ponies don't belong in Equestria." He flew forward and attempted to slash at her again, hoof raised to catch the paw holding her dagger.

Lunar went into a battle position quickly. He pulled his Halberd off of his back, and reared up, using his claws to hold it, while on his left claw, an iron shield unraveled in a spiral pattern. He took a position in front of the others. With a jab, he aimed his halberd at the white pegasus, planning to jab in with the pointed tip, and then sweep it up to cue with it's blade. If it hit, the Pegasus would have a serious stomach injury !

Radiant felt the large pony jump over him and turned to see him going for Tyra. Radiant levitated both of his swords through the air aiming at the back of the pony's neck. He really didn't want to kill fellow ponies but he was given no choice when they were attacking him and the ponies he met.

"Two against one?!" Tyra cackled between her teeth, watching as the two advanced on her, "That does not seem fair, for you!"

 

She sprinted forward toward them, positing her head so that she could swing upward to deflect the larger pony's hammer. She was sure she could take the other pony's hoof attack no problem.

[Little Red 1,529]

Bull froze as the swords hit him, slashing through his throat. He blinked once, then fell to the ground.

The blue pegasus turned to face him. He blinked, seeming honestly surprised. "He's dead!" he said, strangely not sounding upset. He looked over at his ally, the white pegasus.

 

The white pegasus had jumped away from Lunar, but also had to jumped back from Alex, gritting his teeth. "Are you going to help, or what? You're not dead, are you?" He demanded gruffly.

The blue pegasus blinked. Fear had filled his eyes. He rushed past the other ponies, up the stairs, without a word.

"Well, I'm not sure if you noticed, but the two beings RULING Equestria are non-ponies," She commented, readying her counter attack before Lunar jumped in front of her to issue his attack. "Ah come on. I had that!" She barked."...Ah well, thanks Lunar." She added afterwards with a slight sigh. Noting the white pegasus' evasion however, she tried to swing at him, but missed, only resulting in her to growl in frustration. She hadn't even noticed the blue pegasus run off.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant watched as the blue pegasus quickly retreated as he pulled his swords from the large pony's neck. He flicked them with his magic to get some of the excess blood off of them. He turned to the white pegasus and dispelled his armor. 

 

Radiant then enveloped the wing blade on the pegasus with his magic and pulled down on the pegasus bringing him to the ground. He released the wing blade walking toward the pegasus with his swords drawn.

The white pegasus' eyes filled with fear now. "Yeah... you guys aren't normal." He murmured. He shut his eyes. "That bucking coward..." he swallowed, opening his eyes and looking from the diamond dog, to the griffon, to the unicorn, to the earth pony with the giant axe. He put his hooves over his eyes, curling up slightly. "I... I could have killed you guys, if Cloud hadn't run off," he muttered. "I could have. I could have. I HATE YOU!" He snarled, and attempted to leap at Alex and Lunar, though the magic was still holding him down. "This is all your fault!" His eyes had gone impossibly wide.

Tyra watched as the pegasus fled the basement, fearful after his companion had died.

Indeed, it was a tragic situation, but in the world she'd entered upon leaving Trotstheim, this had become the law of the land.

 

Kill or be killed.

 

Radiant had grounded the other pegasus, and she began to approach him, axe still clenched in her jaw in case he tried a sneak attack.

 

Instead, he began showing immediate resentment toward them for what happened.

 

She returned her axe to its harness and removed her helmet.

"I am truly sorry for your loss," she began, "but, it was you who began the attack. You must take better care in choosing your fights to avoid such tragedies."

Lunar looked at the pony and put his halberd up too him, inches from the ponies head. If he made any quick movements, he would end him. "Your friends have abandoned you, we are not here to hurt you, but should you make any hostile movements, I WILL remove your brain from your functioning body" Lunar said, a scowl across his face. " I say we give him a chance to leave. If he crosses it, well, you know what too do" Lunar said to the others.

Chrysteel says, "Wait! Allow me. I wish to show you what my kind can do. The night has just come anyways."

 

She walks over to the remaining and whispers, her horn aglow with magic as she removes her hood. "If you want to live, then look at me."

 

If and when the remaining pony does, he sees pink in her eyes, as the spell takes effect. She says, "I suggest you leave all but what you need to survive. Only then will I guaranty your safety out. After you leave, forget about us and go back to whatever bandit camp you came from, understood?"

The pegasus froze at Tyra's and Lunar's words. He shrunk slightly, then slowly looked up at Chrysteel. The spell took hold and his eyes glowed pink for a moment before they blinked to their normal shade again. He removed the wing blades from his wings silently.

[Midnight_Aurora 571]

Chrysteel says, in the same sweet voice, "I said leave only what you don't need to survive. Don't you need those?"

 

She checks him to make sure he can still survive out there. She then looks to the other before saying, "A vampony's trick. We can gain our target as a thrall or temporary pet. Once he has only what he needs for survival out there, I think we should let him go."

The pegasus blinked, then quickly picked up his wing-blades. "Thank you, ma'am. Much obliged." He said, in quite a different tone of voice. He re-attached the blades then blinked at her. "I have only food and a blanket in my pack," he said, gesturing at the pack in the corner of the room. "May I pick it up and leave?"

[Commander Tangent 861]

Lunar looked to the pony. " Enough of this, let me speak with him without manipulation. There is a right and a wrong way to do this, Amore. If you do this, he will simply repeat his mistakes. Allow me to speak with him, and maybe he will come out of this a better person" The griffin said, walking over to the two and looking at them, hoping that that amore would stand down.
