DUUUUH that took me way too long to figure out.

So, I'm trashy at sci-fi, as my only experiences with it is... well, Firefly and Mass Effect, I guess, so I won't be contributing much. I'd like to see there be an overarching story to this RP, but I'm definitely joining if you'll accept me even if there isn't. I'll start developing an OC to fit the place ASAP.

Anyway, I always wanted to just say "I'M IN SPACE," you know?

The role that most interests me on the ship would be either pilot or medic. Is a non-pony character allowed in this roleplay? I've really been wanting to create a griffin character. Space griffin has a ring to it. PLSPLSPLS?

Maybe. This isn't a sign up. Nobody that posts here has a guaranteed slot, apart from the people who's idea we go with. And as long as your OC is equinoid I will consider it. But this is not a sign up page, yet.

For example, a new galaxy was discovered, ponies and aliens alike all rushed to the new planets to claim their fortune in resources; gold, uranium, metals, and the like, all whilst paying no heed to the locals' politics, practices, or personal space.

Maybe later on. I think to start with we should focus on getting to the ship before launch and our time in space.

This is sorta-kinda-maybe-possibly based on Firefly, right?

Well,

for the first arc of the roleplay, just have it be the crew slowly being assembled, one at a time, and just how the personalities interact with each other, sorta like in the pilot episode of the show itself?

 

And, on another note; how about Rivet ( http://mlpforums.com...tic-rivet-r6579 ), one of my characters for the ship's mechanic?

The original idea was indeed based off of firefly, but the idea of finding a new planet was much better in my opinion. If we get two options and put it in a poll we can let people choose.

 

Also, the next person to give their character like this is a sign up automatically gets low priority for when it does become a sign up.

Alright. So, Equestria was overpopulated due to too much sex, so ponies moved on to other planets. This roleplay takes place on a firefly ship that is exploring new worlds, going where nopony has gone before. Um, I mean, trying to find new planets to populate. Ponies have probably already found a few habitable planets, right? Because, otherwise, I think main interactions beyond the ship would be with aliens, not ponies.

OOHHH CAN WE HAVE ALIEN BIPEDAL APES? That was mostly a joke, but do we have aliens in the RP?

2. Most species. Griffin, any pony, but no alicorns. There are a few other species but I'll just accept or decline them if you post them when it becomes a sign up

3. Currently no real story, but that's where this thread comes in. It's going to be an open world RP, but it needs to have an underlying storyline extended from escaping Equis.
