Okay, I've got to admit, "Deer Pony" is the coolest thing ever. Maybe the two kingdoms might meet up, and either be friends or enemies. And maybe the deer haven't discovered the whole island yet, because they got there pretty recently, too! I'm liking the sound of

I'm not sure about the steam punk stuff, though. We were trying to go for canon equal to the show's, and I think that most everything would be powered by magic, not steam.

I might get some input from the other RPers, would a deer kingdom fit into the canon well? What about steampunk?

I'm just thinking of a society thats mostly concerned with military because of the disharmony they have between eachother. And this paticular group has become part of this island because they don't want to be a part of it anymore. Deer can't do magic, so I'm thinking their tech is based purely around science. kinda that's a under statement... we have evilized characters..... a pony who grew up eating meat....a pony with a uncontrollable dark side.......a mystery pony helping a young adult find his way....a character who can't remember most of his past without help of said pony....our characters almost died twice.... and my character is confirmed to die.......... \(near the end but still he will die....) and it will probably get darker

I'm okay with it.  Just as long as it isn't too advanced, like guns or aircraft or anything.  basic steam engines and steamboats are fine, I guess.  Unless anyone else complains...

Name: Lieutenant Commander Extent

 

Race: Deer

 

Gender: Male

 

Looks: A massively large buck with giant antlers. He wears iron armor with wisps of silver, and a sword against his side known only as 'Invictus'. He has a silk red cape slung over his back and epaulets on his shoulders. He stands tall, is intimidating, and has a lot of battles under his belt (as you can tell from the scars all over him when he doesn't have armor on). Without all the fancy armor and uniform, he looks like a regular stag. Brown with white spots, and a tan belly, but he still has a very large size. My advice? Don't mess with him. He talks softly and with reason, but it's best not to get in his way.

 

Personality: Soft spoken and quiet. He doesn't say much unless he has to. He's very reserved, maybe it's because he's constantly thinking. He's a brilliant navy general who can seem cold and bitter, when in reality he has a soft side. His troops don't like to push it though, it doesn't mean he doesn't know how to hand out discipline and strict justice. There's not much to say about him because he doesn't reveal much.

 

Cutie Mark: Deer don't have cutie marks, but if he was to have a talent, it'd definitely be in combat and leadership.

 

Special Powers: Size and strength and a navy consisting of 3 powerful ships and small legion at his command.

Why they were chosen to colonize this new land: Once part of the nation of Epsilon, home of the deer, he left for this island in a hurried pace once he realized his mate was with child. It was established that this island existed back in his days of navigating the seas, and so he saw it as a haven ever since. The country of Epsilon is full of turmoil. It is dominated by the deer, but has a mix of many other races that are constantly at war. Due to this, the deer race became centered around a military lifestyle. No finding a mate, no love, no starting families, all of which Extent did though he was under oath not to. He had followers since he was so high up in both rank and in social status. One night, he left his military fort in the harbor of Epsilon with 3 iron hull steam boats, and 500 men with mates or loved ones they also secretly had. After a long winter, Extent has built up a settlement known as Stagston, and a fort in the center named Fort Normandy. It's only a square shaped fort against the harbor with a few houses, it's nothing more than what Jamestown was, other than consisting of deer and more residents. Extent married his mate, and she had his son, and they live somewhat peacefully. Though, they always have the threat under their noses of being attacked by Epsilon, which makes them all a bit paranoid.

 

Notes:

What Stagton somewhat looks like. The only difference being that the fort isn't a triangle, but instead a square with stone walls. It also has a larger set of docks for the steam ships.

So, I'm going to figure out a way to create my lovely little deer OC around this backstory of the deer. I really like it, so it'll be fun.

I suppose all the deer that Extent took with him had families? 'Cause I was hoping to roleplay just one. Could I possibly roleplay a younger fawn, and occasionally roleplay his parents?

(EDIT: Asking both Star-Lord and Aspen about this. Since you're head of the deer colony, @, are there any limitations you'd like me to set on my OC?)

I will be leaving on Tuesday for the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, USA for about two weeks.  I will not have any internet access, which sucks  I'm extremely sorry, guys, as I know that the RP is just starting up, and things can get hectic.  Before I made it, I even considered starting up the RP itself after I got back, but honestly I didn't think it would get anywhere, so I didn't worry about it.  I will be on most of tomorrow, so send me questions or comments or angry rants then.  Again, I'm really sorry.
RP wise, I plan to make Aspen go on a super long expedition, where he discovers something really crazy or something.  What?  I...don't know yet.
The bright side, however, is that this is a backpacking trip, which means I'll have a lot of time to think and plan about the RP.  I want to come back bursting with ideas
Anyway, like I said, super sorry, y'all.  I wish I could take my phone and do this at the same time, but I can't
I probably should have told you guys sooner, and for that I apologize.  You should keep going on with it, don't try to pause the RP for me.  The RP stops for no man.
