Lilith shook her head yes to Jane's reply. She knew what she was getting into and in for. She was just worried that she couldn't handle it. She wanted to really talk to her father right now and her old childhood friend that was taking her spot at the bar for her right now. ((i forget his name its been a while sorry )) She didn't want to see the horror that was about to reveal itself to her but she had to. She turned as an officer put his hand on her shoulder. She looked up in alarm noticing that this officer was missing an eye.  "It's alright little bird. I'll be with you this whole time" ((green is my spirit guardian)). Lilith turned back to the alleyway and began walking down it with her guide by her side. She could feel Jane's gaze on her as she walked but she couldn't let that distract her. As she came closer to the chalk line a vision passed her eyes. It was so brief it passed for just a second. A prostitute screaming as she watched her client's head explode in a spray of gore and colors. The man in the robe with the outstretched hand and then nothing. Lilith had her man though. She saw him completely. Every detail in his scarred face and deep set maroon eyes. She turned around to Jane with a shocked expression "Jane! I saw our guy! I know what he looks like." Then the world around her went black as she passed out.

"Very well, but not here," Emile said, creating a rift below them and one in his apartment. They landed on a very cushy couch, and Emile walked over to the fridge and grabbed himself a beer. "You want one?" he asked Pat, opening the drawer he kept his bottle opener in. When he didn't find the bottle opener, he put the cap against the corner of the counter and hit it, popping it off.

Inside the warehouse, the woman stood where she was the last time, clearly waiting for the bounty hunters to arrive. " I assume you have the package." She said simply, awaiting their response. She knew they had it, why else would they be here. Right now though, she was hoping things didn't get messy.

"Oof! Maybe, if you gave warning next time..."

 

He was offered a beer, but not only did he rarely drink alcohol, he didn't really feel like doing much of anything at the moment.

"Sorry, about that, I'm used to it now I guess. NIfty ability huh? I call myself Rift, but my current secret identity is Jon Oliver. My real name is Emile Truman. I'm on the FBI's most wanted list. I know you're a strong patriot, but hear me out. The reason I'm wanted is because I knew something I shouldn't have. The reason I got this ability because I used to work for a company called Cyprus Industries. We had many of the world's top scientists working there, and many things were made by us. I overheard some stuff on the intercoms that I probably shouldn't have. There was a top secret military device that would be used to transport troops, weapons, and vehicles thousands of miles within a matter of seconds, and it would be sold to the highest bidder. That night, I stayed in late, and destroyed it. I set off some alarms, and it seems the US was the current high bidder, so they were pissed I screwed them over. I managed to destroy the blueprints as well. In the midst of destroying it though, it blew up in my face, leaving me bleeding and filled with shrapnel. When the guards pointed their guns at me, I just couldn't stop thinking about my girlfriend and her son, and my home, and my nice, warm, safe bed, and then I fell right into my bed. I called my girlfriend and told her what had happened. We were going to meet here in Tollopolis, but that never happened. The man I killed? He was one of the head researchers on that project, and I asked him where my girlfriend and her son were. He started laughing, and told me they were killed several years ago. In my rage, I created a rift, stuck his head through it, and closed it, decapitating him. That's pretty much my life story. Now, you can turn me in, you can leave, or you could listen more, maybe become friends even," Emile said.

 

The armored man had finally reached his destination. He walked through the door and a few men clad in hooded robes came forward and started removing his armor. They then took him to some healing baths for his wounds, and gave the armor to some smiths.

Pat was surprised and confused, this encounter had turned into something way different from what it was when he first set off for the lab.

 

"But... why exactly are you telling me all this? I didn't really mean for an entire backstory when I asked who you were."

"I told you what I thought you needed to know," Emile said. He pressed a button on his gauntlet and a large monitor lowered from the ceiling, asking for a code. "Amanda Silverman," Emile said, and the monitor said "Welcome, Rift," and a list of names with pictures by them appeared, as well as a large holographic keyboard in front of the couch. Emile walked through it with his beer and sat down next to Pat. "This list is how I know you, compiled by the US government. They consider you to be very powerful, but not a threat due to your patriotism. Here's the thing, I think you seem very skilled, and I would like to perhaps form a team with you."

Shade walked in the room and inspected it for anything out of the ordinary. What he found was quite out of the ordinary, the same stuck up woman from before. She should lighten up sometime...

 

"Yeah yeah, we got the goods. Very little supe interference as well. Never got to use your special rings you gave us. Say what do they do anyway?"

"The government made a list? I guess I should've expected that. Listen, you put a lot of emphasis on my patriotism, and while it's true I am loyal to this country, I don't necessarily stand for America, I stand for what America is supposed to stand for. So if the government should ever... "go astray," You can bet that I will probably end up on their wanted list. That's why I don't want to involve myself with the government. I don't do this to put U.S. criminals in jail, I'm just here to protect innocent people and their freedom."

"I think you are one of the strongest vigilantes in this city, and I'm trying to unite some to form a team, kind of like the Justice League. I can tell you took a lot of inspiration from Captain America, I took a lot of inspiration from the Batfamily, namely Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batman. I've been working on the FEAR case recently, but I've been having to deal with some other problems around the city, and it would be nice to have you and River helping me. I'm not stellar in fighting yet, so I could also use a sparring partner, what do you say? Would you be interested in being the first member besides me of the real Justice League?" Emile said to Pat.

"Thank you, if you ever want to practice, call me on this number," Emile said, handing him a sheet with only 3 numbers on it. "It's on a private system, so it's not like a normal phone number. I understand that this isn't a comic book, and I don't need you to lead. I would very much like an alliance of sorts between metas throughout the city though, it would make things much easier for all of us. I really could use River's help on solving the case, and your help to give me time to investigate crime scenes and to narrow down the search."

She places a nanoscopic tracker on the canister to have it record and the location and anything that's said near the object. She takes her suitcase and walks out, waiting outside for Shade

Blitz rolled his eyes and simply sighed. "And another yahoo comes out of the woodwork. Look kid, I don't know what you're thinking, but this isn't really going to end well for you if you threaten me." He said. "Personally, I am sick and tired of everyone thinking I'm evil just because I can turn into a dragon, then again, Ignorance is bliss after all." With that, the bones within the hero began to shift and contort in ways that would kill a regular human. Wings sprouted from his back and black metallic spikes grew between them and along the back of his head, almost like a crown. His body itself elongated and skin and hair were replaced by dark grey scales. He had no arms, instead relying on his wings and back legs to move. His pupils turned to slits as his teeth became serrated. As the transformation finished, the dragon let out a deafening roar as lighting arced around him. The dragon then flew into the air and glared down at the would be dragon slayer.

The woman picked up the items, and slid over two briefcases. "here is the remainder of your payment. With this our business is concluded." She made her way over to the door before she looked back at them. "You two have performed adequately. My employer may have more business for you in the future." With that, she left.

 

Once she entered her car, she immediately called Her boss. "Sir, I have the package." She said with the slightest hint of enthusiasm, but barely noticeable. "Excellent. Have it brought to the R&D department. I'll be waiting there." Came the voice from the phone before the line went dead and she made her way over to the E-Corp. complex.

If that side if him took over, it would make this human suffer for even daring to say such a thing. "You honestly have no idea who you're dealing with." He growled.

The dragon's instincts took over and let out a audible roar as he glared at the hunter, studying his movements. He now knew that there were more like him out there and he would make this fool pay for what he had done to his kind. He also knew that his electricity wouldn't be as effective, but that was only one of his weapons.

Borrimere took out a large double barreled shotgun, both barrels were loaded with 10 gauge bird shot, he fired both barreled and the many tiny pellets pelleted Blitz. no matter what he did he would get hit, he was hoping to poke tons of holes in his wings to ground and stun him, he then rolled behind a tree to reload.
