MJDudeK 226 June 11, 2015 Share June 11, 2015 So Twilight has been the same size as the average pony from season 1 all the way through season 4, even after she became a princess, but at the start of season 5, I noticed she was slightly taller and more slender then her friends. If this continues until she is proportional to the average Alicorn Princess, I wonder how that will change the dynamic of the group. If the writers do continue her growth, I'm guessing she will be full size by the end of season 6. I also wonder if she will take a more or less Mom Roll towards her friends which would seem a little strange but that's how it would appear to someone not so familiar with the show much like the relationship between Celestia and Twilight... Now that I'm giving it enough though to post a topic about it, I don't think I like where this is headed... We need to create a petition to keep Twileys size the same, cause this could be the start of a spiral to disinterest... translated to television lingo, Death of the show! Not Good! Why would growth change the character? You make it sound like the moment Twilight hits the pinnacle of her growth she'll be a completely different character. Personally, I don't think I've even noticed any significant growth changes on any one in the show. Dunno, it's an unanswerable question. You'd have to see the series with Celestia as part of the mane 6 to know the answer. Hasbro would have written the story differently to what it would be now. If she has changed a minute amount, it's probably just the animators slowly evolving and updating the way the draw the ponies, like any animated show. If you look at any character from any animated show, and compare S1 to later seasons, they look a bit different. Less so these days, since it's not hand drawn. I do know what you mean about animated shows difference between season 1 and (usually) every other season but that is more or less the artists hitting their stride where Twilights growth is intentional... but like you said I could just be imagining it. But then I went back and looked at season 4 and her horn was longer there as well. I don't know why it looks more noticeable now. Maybe the animators did change her ever so slightly.
