So, for anyone who cares, I have been working on my anime skills (which are pathetic in my opinion).

Anyway, I drew May (my sister) and Hatsune Miku! Yayz! There was no tracery involved in either the pictures. As always, feedback is very much appreciated. Thank you!

I think these pictures look amazing. I like the color tones in the May picture and some attention to detail in her glasses. The Miku picture also looks like the real Miku and looks really detailed as well. Awesome job and well done  .

You know,I kow that you say that these look pathetic and that's great that you feel that. That means you care. Now then, I can tell that you're trying really hard to get these to feel more like I guess a traditional anime and there are a few things that are somewhat off, but in my eyes these look pretty kickass. I think what would really help out what you're doing here is if you were to make the lines taper more instead of letting them end with either a square or round shape.

There are a few anatomy issues here and there but I honestly think that it adds to the style you got going on here BUT IF YOU REALLY WANNA CONQUER ANATOMY, I'd suggest you do some figure drawins on something like quickposes.com and give some anatomy books a read. I need to find my tablet because on it I have a whole bunch of art reference books that are over 100 years old and are in public domain, but they are fantastic when it comes to reference and that also means I can legally share them. Once I remember where I put the thing, I'll be sure to send em on over.
