This is turning out to be a rather usual set up for a first date." Wade laughed to himself, his attempt to brighten up the mood may go the wrong way. Or it might not. Calculated risks are worth it.

 

Scarlett laughed at the actually-quite-funny joke. She then suddenly stopped, turned to face inland and said "The last time I sensed someone this happy it was when I gave Lordy tea..."

 

She then turns back round and spots the shop "Ah! There it is, time to get some sails"

'Good. It went well.' Wade walked inside the shop with Scarlett and took note of his surroundings. Many sails are indeed within the shop, varying in quality greatly. If the price being asked did not match the quality being given, he would be able to tell. And not be all too happy about being ripped off. "Lordy? Isn't he that Stallion that came with us who just so happens to really like tea? I should have a drink with him sometime. Pick out which sails you think will work best on the ship. You're more knowledgeable on this regard."

Caramel walked around Vanhoover while the others were buying supplies. She herself bought some crates of ale, cider and rum. She told the shopkeeper to deliver it to a Scarlett's place even if it did take her two hours explain where the house was located. She walked around the town some more after that. Sometimes running into old friends and sometimes old enemies. When she was done she sat down by the docks, waiting for the others to return.

Scarlett walks into the store and looks for the same sails she saw on the ship.

Tyra turned back to look at the newcomer, grinning at his excitement. That was a level of energy she could respect.

 

"If you wish to assist, then by all means lend a hoof!" She chirped, grin growing wider, "You may start by telling me if you know where I may find a sawmill or some other sort of woodsmith!"

"Weeeeelllll..." said Ace. "I don't actually know any sawmills or woodsmiths. But... what do you need to be done that needs a sawmill slash woodsmith? Because maybe I can try my hoof at the job! You said something about weapons, right? I'll see what I can do if you let me!"

"Ah, you can make weapons?" Tyra chirped, grinning widely and toothily right in the stranger's face, "Wonderful! This shall be most helpful!"

She turned back to the stranger again. "We did not introduce ourselves!" She gasped, smirking proudly and putting a hoof to her chest, "I am Tyra Shatterhoof, of the Frozen North's Shatterhoof clan!"

Scarlett walks into the store and looks for the same sails she saw on the ship.

"I don't know what happened last time. But I'm guessing that it wasn't pretty." Wade looked around the store and saw many high quality sails at what seemed like a reasonable price. Scarlett finds the sails she was looking for "Ah, there they are!" Walking over to she other end of the store Scarlett finds the rope as well and buys quite a lot of it. She takes them over to the counter, buys it all, and says to Wade "Alright, we've got the sails and the rope. Lets go!"

After drinking a bit ovet 7L of tea and recieving a premium customer card (which he had no idea what it was) Lordy picked up his stuff and made for the randevous point. Beside the crate, he made sure to have a backup reserve of tea, so a medium sized pouch full of tea bags hanged from the right of his backpack.

"Oh," said Ace. "That was a very silly suggestion of me. Hm... what would Aerith do?"

 

Then he remembered that his girlfriend Aerith would probably risk her life fighting a bunch of monsters just to get the wood. "Never mind."

 

"Maybe there's some in the water?" he said. "I'd be willing to swim down and fetch some!"

Scarlett and Wade walk back to where they had agreed to meet with the others after gathering materials (This isn't godmod, is it?). Upon arrival and seeing nopony else there she says "Where the heck is everypony?"

 

She spots Lordy and walks over to him while saying "Hey Lordy, do you know where everypony else is?"

Lordy was a bit surprised as he didnt expect running into anyone yet,

"Oh, I am sorry but i have absolutely no idea. I just came back from... from... Gathering these things." He put the big crate down, with a hoof he slowly tucked the tea-filled pouch behind his backpack.

"I see you were sucessful in finding sails."

"Oh," said Ace. "That was a very silly suggestion of me. Hm... what would Aerith do?"

 

Then he remembered that his girlfriend Aerith would probably risk her life fighting a bunch of monsters just to get the wood. "Never mind."

 

"Maybe there's some in the water?" he said. "I'd be willing to swim down and fetch some!"

 

Tyra blinked at the notion.

"Underwater wood?" She muttered, tilting her head, "Would it not be covered in moss and such?"

 

She recalled Scarlett telling her to get the correct type of wood.

"...I did not ask which type of wood to get," she realised, facehoofing, "Perhaps I should ask Caramel."

 

She began trotting toward the pier, with the logic that since Caramel is a sailor, no doubt she would be spending most of her time there.

Lordy shook his hoof in his usual formal manner.

"I am Lordy Snow, of House Snow. I say, it is always good to have someone else onboard. 'The more the merrier' is the exact term they use, i believe." He said as lifted his shako a bit in a sign of respect."

Scarlett looked around and didn't see anypony else. She said warily "I don't suppose this wasn't where we were supposed to meet was it? Caramel didn't specify a location , so maybe we should try the docks."

 

She turned around and began to walk to the docks "Come on guys, lets go!"

"But... What about the others then. We can not be certain that they will also reach the docks. We might just all get lost from each other."

 

"This wasnt organized that well.. Was it?"

Lordy asked himself,

"And i really dont intend to run around after everybody like a wet hen."

However, once she saw the captain on the pier, she felt a pang of regret. She'd failed to get any wood.

Slowly, she shuffled up to the pegasus and lowered her head.

 

"I apologise, friend," she muttered, "I failed to find any proper wood..."

Tyra, with a much keener sense of direction now that she knew where she was going, trotted confidently to the docks. She was rather eager for Ace to meet Caramel!

 

However, once she saw the captain on the pier, she felt a pang of regret. She'd failed to get any wood.

Slowly, she shuffled up to the pegasus and lowered her head.

Upon arriving at the docks where Caramel was, the first thing she heard was Tyra mumbling about wood. "Ahh, don't worry about it" Scarlett said, "I've got plenty stocked up at home."

 

She went and sat next to Caramel "Alright, we've got the supplies, now what's next!"

She walked along the dock a little and sent out a pulse of magic. Anyone from the crew would know what it meant, at least that's what she assumed.
