Solar kept her head hidden away and peeking out, as much sense as that made, as much as possible while the combat went on.

Eventually, all gunfire ceased, and she froze for a few moments to assess the situation.

She turned to Chip and whispered, "I think we're clear. Or they've seen us. Either way, let's try making new friends."

She stuck a hoof out carefully, slowly waving it.
"Helloooo!" She called out, trying to sound as non-threatening as possible, "Anypony in here, please don't fire! We don't mean any harm...despite what you may have been led to believe!"

Ezekiel don't know who or what caused their weapons to misfire, but he said a quick prayer in thanks before running out from behind the altar. He rushed the closest shooter, attempting to neutralize the gun's threat before he could clear it. As the Shaman closed the gap, he pushed off the ground, sailing headlong into the cultist's chest with the crown of his head. The pony stumbled back, the wind knocked out of him. Twirling, he threw his cloak in the face of the second shooter, revealing the dreadlocked, bead wearing, sword wielding warrior-mystic beneath. Ezekiel drew Khalid, scooping at the cross guard with his hoof, and slashing diagonally upward along the rifle pony's chest. A crescent of blood sailed away from the cultist on Khalid's arc.

Chip looked confused at the sudden silence and joined Solar in looking around the corner. "Friends? I don't think we should just go waltzing out there." He argued peering around the corner only to then see a zebra jump over an altar which had a dead mare on its face, Chip didn't much enjoy the sight of that. The zebra rammed one of the ponies wielding a gun. He then unfurled his cloak, tossing it aside over the head of another shooter. Without missing a beat he slashed at one of the shooters with a stream of blood outlining his sword's arc.

"Yeah, I don't think we should be here Sol." Chip whispered to Solar.

"No, no I don't think so," Solar agreed, noticing the mare's face spewed over the alter, "Yeah, she's definitely seen better days."

She watched as the zebra removed his cloak and dramatically tossed it aside, making hit one of the shooters, then unsheathed a sword and went on the attack on the rest of the shooters.

"That's a zebra, right Chippy?" She asked, pointing to the zebra in question, "He is awesome."

Ellieum huffed as she loaded her magnum with a mix of armor piercing and normal shots as she watched Ezekiel glide past the altar and subdue the closest shooter. He moved with such speed and grace that the pony didn't have a moment to defend himself and was knocked down to the ground, her jaw opened as she gazed in awe as he almost effortlessly threw his cloak over the next pony and promptly gutting him afterwards. "Damn, they were right when they said Zebra were nasty customers." she thought to herself before looking over to the side to see a armored hoof. "Power armor!?" she thought as she pointed her magnum and fired at the hoof in hopes of making the pony wish they never put it out there, however, as she fired the hoof disappeared from sight.

"How dare you come into our domain and defile our sacred ritual!" The leader bellowed as he arose from the floor, clenching his stomach. "My congregation! Seize this heretic! Make him pay for the sacrilege he has committed!" The congregation all bowed before the leader and started going towards Ezekiel in one large mob, they would all gladly die for their beliefs. Small portions of the congregation broke off to bloke the exits and to circle around him, he certainly could not be able to cut them all down.

But he certainly could try.

"There is nothing sacred about spilling innocent blood! Nor is there in spilling the guilty's . . . . though it's about to flood."  :okiedokielokie:

They rushed him at once, Ezekiel spun, Khalid clenched in his teeth, in a wide arc to disperse them. Two recovered first, attacked, and were both slain for their efforts, one bleeding out and the other decapitated. Another came at Ezekiel's side, his head low and charging him. Ezekiel raised his front leg and brought it down on the charging pony's head in an axe kick. The pony slammed into the ground with an audible "CRR-UNCH!"

Two more came at Ezekiel from the front and back, the Shaman leapt into the air and did a buck kick with both sets of legs. This dizzied his attackers, only for Ezekiel to land, slash at the front one with a quick turn of his neck, catch the blade with the crook of his leg and do the same to the one behind him.

"No control. No form. Their faith doesn't even teach them how to fight? I suppose that makes a disgusting sense. If their sacred ritual involves victim sacrifice than they would not prepare themselves for fair combat. Their faith comes from a place of weakness, so they are weak in all that they do, including fighting."

"Wah!" Solar yelped, yanking away her hoof as one of the ponies fired at it. "Hey, we're not here for trouble! We're the good guys too!"

She hesitated for a few moments, before regarding the mare who fired at her. "You are the good guy, right?"

She turned to Chip. "She's the good guy, right?"

Chip listened to the situation inside and figured they should fight on the side of those not preforming a sacrifice. "I assuming she is," He said as he raised his rifle to his eye with his magic. "I guess we should help, these lunatics shouldn't be sacrificing ponies."

Chip stepped to the side of the doorway still mostly cover as he took aim at the pony the zebra had just attacked with his sword. The pony was still standing and wasn't to happy with the zebra. Chip took aim at the pony's neck and fired one shot with his energy rifle, the beam impacted and bored a hole into the pony's flesh.

The leader laughed loudly as he watched Ezekiel make quick work of the lowest of his congregation, the blood of the fallen stained the coats of the remaining, and still large congregation while the rest of it trickled to the floor. "You realize what you've done heretic?" He laughed again, extending his hooves to the floor where little channels had been made, the blood of the fallen flowed down the little crevices and all went towards one place- the altar.

The blood of the dead ponies continued to fill all the nearby channels, the blood rushing rapidly towards the altar and the leader laughing hysterically. "Y-you've completed the ritual!!" he fell to the ground, laughing. The plant vines had been hidden under the altar and absorbed the blood as it came, the plant growing larger and larger as more blood fed. His laughing came to a sudden stop as he began chanting again, the verses were completely different and his congregation started chanting as well. They were trying to summon something by the looks of it.

Ellieum couldn't hear what Solar was trying to convey to her as the chanting had begun once more, she hid behind the drapes and looked at the Zebra, seriously what was this guy's problem? Doesn't he know that once you're done looting you don't fuck with the ponies that run the place?

The sounds of shouting and gunfire became more audible the deeper I delved into the warehouse. The grime on the windows effectively blocked out most of the sunlight from outside. Only a few rays of light managed to pierce the window and shine upon the path ahead of me. I checked my E.F.S and spotted a few red blips as well as a few yellow blips. I looked at the walls as i quickly trotted past the hallway, many strange writings and symbols covered them. Probably just some wasteland nutjobs looking to past the time with their miserable lives.

When I reached the end of the hallway I saw three figures quickly rushing past my vision. They didn't seem to notice me, probably busy dealing with whomever is fighting them. I thought about my next course of action before deciding that following them would be a good way to figure out exactly what is happening in this warehouse. The sound of their gunfire drowned out the clinking sounds of my metallic suit of armor allowing me to effectively catch them by surprise.

Now that they were standing in a fixed position I could see them in more detail then my initial encounter. They all wore dark cloaks covered in blood red runes and bone talismans. Mouth held submachineguns sent volley after volley of small arms fire downwards to whom I presumed was the cause of the earlier racket. Suddenly loud maniacal laughter filled the halls and the building began to shake vigorously. I quickly regained my form before grunting in annoyance and opening fire with my weapons. I fired three shells at the closest cultist and tore him apart like a bloody ragdol. I kicked into S.A.T.S and targeted one of the legs of the next cultist, the two shells hit their mark and left a charred stump in its place. The final cultist managed to regain his form and start firing his weapon at me.

Not wanting to waste any more of my ammunition I charged the robed figure, ignoring the pain of multiple bullets ricocheting of my helmet. The cultist kept firing at me till his firearm clicked empty. I wish I could of saw the face this pony made as a half a ton of metal rammed him into the ground. The best description of my maneuver was well...I fell on a pony. It seemed strange on paper but I might as well turn my weakness into a strength. I lifted myself off the ground and grinned as I saw my hoofwork. The now hoofless cultist laid on the floor attempting his best not to go into shock as he stared at his charred and detached limb. "Judging from your robes I thought you would have loved the color black. Did you a favor and made your hide the same hahaha!"

Now that my encounter was over I looked over to find myself staring at a large and green biomass standing erect in the middle of a warehouse. Damn if maple was here she would be freaking the hell out. Plant life had a hard time growing out in the waste, yet this thing managed to grow out inside this wasteland. Either it was some strange science I needed to preserve or it was a plant of a magical nature like those monstrosities of the everfree forest. I looked down and saw a bloodbath. A lone zebra stood standing defiant against the large plant wielding a sword in his mouth. Seriously? sure I guess it worked out for you but could you have at least used something less...primitive? I groaned in annoyance before pulling out on of the grenades I took from new appleoosa. I made my way to the downed cultist and hefted him off the edge of my heightened position towards the plant and zebra.

Solar grinned as Chip's laser blast hit dead on, burning into the cultist's flesh. "Nice shot!" She chirped.

She blinked and watched as the supposed leader began laughing, then saying something about a ritual.

"It's not a good sign when the crazy psycho cultist starts laughing his head off, is it?" She asked, almost sarcastically.

As he began to chant with his followers, the vines around the room began to grow. Solar blinked and checked her E.F.S.; indeed, the cultists were all red blips, and the zebra and mare who fired at her were amber.

"Something tells me we better get in there," she muttered, and armed her battlesaddle.

She yelped as the door swung open and a large, armoured pony stampeded inside, effectively taking out some enemies of his own.

"Oh stars!" She cried, then spotted that they too were an amber blip on her E.F.S., "Oh, well, that's okay then."

She turned to Chip and smirked, spreading her armoured wings. "My turn!"

She leapt out into the open and joined the fray, hovering in the air and aiming at one of the cultists, booting up her S.A.T.S.

One in the leg and one in the face should do it.

"Smile you son of a--!" She muttered to herself as she opened fire. Her shots hit the leg dead on, but grazed the cultist's head, leaving a humorous black scorch on their head.

Ezekiel could see not only the plant begin to rise from the altar but he could also see the perverse spirits that went into it's creation. Like the physical space around the plant was boiling water. Speaking of boiling, Ezekiel had a mix of emotions flowing through him the first and foremost was guilt. He had spilled blood, even in necessary self-defense, his actions caused this. The ritual did not require innocent blood, the cultists were just sadistic f*cks! Guilt and rage threatened to take him over and he was tempted to kill them all. His training though, pulled him through. Putting a hoof to his chest, breathing in, pushing the leg out, and matching his out breath to that; not only could he feel some calm return, he also saw the wisps of those spirits be pushed away from his heart.

This would have happened regardless if he was here or not, they just would have killed yet another innocent and maybe even sacrifice one of their own. There was no depth of Hell they wouldn't stoop to, they were capable of anything. Now that he WAS here though, Ezekiel could do something about it.

Ezekiel sheathed Khalid and once again pointed a hoof in front of his chest in prayer. He called back the anger he was feeling a moment ago, but this time it was not directionless but focused. As he invoked, his voice became sharper and slightly raised, calm but clearly put off.

"Anger, born of the heart's fire. Flame, the source of all ire. Temper and temperature, fury and burn, I summon you now that your help I may earn!"

As Ezekiel spoke those words a magnificent blaze of fire exploded before him, he had successfully summoned a fire spirit, whether that was because of his need for one or his burning and righteous rage that did not matter, for the spirit was here now.

"Who dare awaken thou from art slumber? The flames of war have become yet small embers and even so, this land suffers and is defiled greatly." The spirit looked downwards and saw Ezekiel standing before him. "Was it thou that summoned me in this unholy land?"

The fire spirit did not await his response, he already knew that Ezekiel had summoned him by now and directed his gaze to the altar, and then to the Leader and his congregation that were chanting a forbidden summoning verse. "Shaman, heed my advice carefully. You must leave this place immediately, do not turn back. These ponies here are summoning a long forgotten evil, an evil that is so incomprehensible and powerful that not even your long lost monarchs could handle. Shaman, seek friendship, seek the path of light and truth, lest this evil swallow you and Equestria whole."

It wasn't long before a small rift appeared over the altar, dark magics poured out of the rift violently until a deafening shrieking was heard. A dark aberration was coming into view as the congregation was chanting more loudly, the whole building seemingly shook from the amount of power that was being spewed out. A deep sense of dread was filling the air.

The fire spirit had been channeling a large fire ball as he was speaking to Ezekiel and cast it at the Aberration as it attempted to come out of the rift, causing it to scream in agony as the magical fire burned it.

Ellieum watched in horror as the events she wished she could unsee unfolded before her, she was petrified in terror behind the drapes. The amount of dark energy and heat that was being spewed out was making it difficult to breathe and she snapped out of her paralysis and bolted for the exit, she was fucking scared for her life, hell any mortal being would be, especially if bullets can't kill it.

"Holy Flames, I thank you for your favor and will heed your words, I bless you now in great Harmony to eternity and onwards." The Shaman briefly moved the tip of his hoof in a rough outline. The perceptive would see that it was a six pointed star shape. He turned and ran, as a last offering to the spirit, he struck the cult leader with a rising knee strike on the face in controlled anger. Hard enough to break his jaw but not hard enough to draw blood.

Ezekiel also retrieved his cloak and staff as he ran. It was then that he ran into another pony, her eyes wide with fear. Deciding that she clearly had the right idea, he said, "we have to get out of here!" Redundant a bit perhaps but still.

Solar began fanning herself with her hoof as the temperature in the warehouse quickly climbed.

"Hey, it getting hot in here or is that just me?" She asked, really wanting to remove her armour but she couldn't risk the potential gunshot wounds or losing of pieces of armour. That would suck.

She watched in increasing terror as a huge...something began emerging from the chanting. Some kind of dark, otherworldly creature, that seemed to be made of pure evil itself. Not even Tartarus could house such a...thing.

She silently lowered toward the ground, her wings losing energy in her fear. Whatever this being was, she wanted nothing to do with it.

A fireball shot out of nowhere at the creature, causing it to emit some unworldly screech as it burned alive. The sight seemed to shake her back to her wits in time to here the zebra's call to leave.

"I don't even know your name and I'm with you!" She yelled, and picked up some height before swooping toward Chip and grabbing him, "We go, now!"

Chip watched as the ponies joined in on fray that was encircling the altar when what appeared to be a rift open up and some creature begun emerging shrieking and destroying any shred of silence there could possibly of been. He stood there frozen at the sight of the beast, his breathing was slow and he felt as if his own life was snuffed out just by looking at this thing. His own fear paralyzed him, not even triggering the flight or fight response in the stallion.

As it was blasted with fire, Chip felt a feeling of release from his own fear and blinked a few times trying to compose himself. The stallion's legs still did not want to move, was it a combination of fear and scientific curiosity or his curiosity as a unicorn to see such magic?

Chip was soon reunited with Solar who grabbed him and begun pulling him back down the wall way, was his gaze was spun around from the beast he managed a slow nod to the mare as he shakily began galloping after her.

I couldn't believe what was happening, did my eyes deceive? Summoning, conjuring, magic?!?! How was this happening in the lands that have long forgotten and forsaken ancient magical entities.Did this ritual of theirs actually managed to summon something? I saw no distinct shapes yet I felt a a sudden change of temperature even in my suits enclosed environment. Suddenly there was a change of color in the room that shone brightly like the sun at morn. Beautiful yet powerful shades of orange, red, and yellow filled the room and burned my eyes. But even with all its might another color seemed to almost drown it out completely with its dull tones and shades. the area seemed to ripple as if it was going to rip apart the fabric of the world itself and a shiver went down my spine as it made its presence. It was remarkable and stupidly peculiar, but I still knew the danger it possessed. I quickly ran off as fast as I could to the doorway I entered from down the hallway. Not looking back despite the buildings violent shakes and the strange ethereal feeling seemingly grasping at my hoofs as I galloped.

This was supposed to be a simple mission then I could go back home and relax with my fucking family! The talons were bad enough  but now I had to deal with this stupid bullshit! Maybe I should have died back there, at least it would have been believable and simple. I saw the bright yellow glow of the outdoors shining through the door. Yes i'm almost there, once I leave through that door everything that just happened will be just like a dream. I was only a few steps away from the door when a strong force of energy pushed against my armored flank sending my sprawling outside and on to the dirt. I laid on the dirt for a few moments letting the dirt clog up my helmet filters in annoyance.

That explosion didn't feel like anything I've ever been hit with, and considering I've been hit with pretty much every type of explosive known to ponykind that was saying something. I groaned as I got up and wiped off the dirt from my helmet and chest plate, looking back at the warehouse as I did. Every single window panel was shattered by this strange energy. I didn't' know where to start, everypony that would have known to do this were probably evaporated inside. No wait...there was a few ponies that ran as soon as I did. If I can find at least one of them I can figure out what the hell am I dealing with.

Despite getting hit directly with the magical fireball, the dark entity emerged from the void, the large burn that corrupted its form had completely healed over the course of seconds. The souls of the dead cultists emerged from their corpses and were being drawn towards the entity. The entity opened its appendages as if welcoming the spirits and within seconds all the souls of the dead cultists were absorbed by the entity.

The cult leader staggered as he was bucked in the jaw, while any regular pony would have had their jaw broken the cultist merely laughed the kick off. "I thank you, heretic! Without your assistance none of this could have happened!" The cult leader shouted at Ezekiel mockingly before falling down to the floor and laughing hysterically.

The fire spirit stared in horror as the entity emerged effortlessly from the rift. "An attack like that shouldn't have been shrugged off so easily.." it thought to itself as it readied another attack. "Righteous rage, vibrant flames, with this attack I condemn thee!" The spirit bellowed as it cast a steady stream of molten lava at the entity. "This attack shall certainly do the trick." it thought to itself as the fire seemed to be proving effective, however as the lava subsided the entity floated, untouched by the attack and raised one of its appendages, a dark sword materialized and it promptly slashed at the fire spirit.

"Such power.." the fire spirit thought as it was hit by the attack, its form being completely dispelled from the air. The leader cackled as he felt the fire spirit's presence subside and knelt before the entity, his hooves open wide. "Oh savior! How you easily discharge these heretics! I offer you my body, so that it may be easier to travel...undetected."

Ellieum gasped for air as she cleared the warehouse exit, she had never galloped that quickly in her entire life and her entire burned from exhaustion. She looked around and saw the crazy Zebra next to her and more ponies she hadn't seen before. To her misfortune, one of the ponies was Enclave, and in the corner of her eye she spotted a Steel ranger. "This is just my lucky fucking day, I not only get to deal with insane cultists, but I get to also deal with the two biggest assholes in the entire wasteland." she thought to herself as she subtly loaded her weapon with armor piercing rounds, it was her form of insurance in case things went south.

When he finally felt they were in the clear, Ezekiel turned to the other escapees.

"Is everypony all right?!" Not waiting for an answer, Ezekiel frantically lit some incense. Using a metal tea pot with some holes punched in it and a bicycle chain, Ezekiel had fashioned a makeshift, post apocalyptic thurible. He waved it gently around each of the ponies, getting a tad close to each one before muttering something and doing the same six pointed star blessing with his free hoof. He then did the same for the immediate area around him.

The stallion was breathing heavily trying to catch his breath, he then sat down beside Solar since she was the only pony he actually knew to a degree. Suddenly the Zebra begun waving around some porous container that had a light smoke with a pleasant aroma emanating from it.  "I-I think I'm alright." He panted still catching his breath.

"Son of a bitch!" I almost found my self saying out loud as soon as I found who the particular ponies I was looking for were. There was a lot more of them then I originally had expected. To make it worse each and every one of them were the kind of individuals I was usually inclined to shoot and kill on sight. I took a moment to catch my breath and recollect myself. That huge spike of energy in the warehouse was more important to the interest of the rangers then the cads who stood in front of me. Firstly and possibly the most dangerous was the lone pegasi soldier, why the hell was she down here by herself? The presence of enclave personnel usually meant something was happening and that didn't bide to well in my thoughts.

Next was not a pony but instead one of the striped folk who fashioned his mane in dreadlocks, strange but I've seen other ponies do it so it wasn't that surprising. He had a sword hilariously enough but I was more intrigued in the ritual he was doing. Next was a unicorn who seemed more out of it then the fellows he was standing by. His choice of weaponry made my blood boil but as of now it couldn't be helped. Last but possibly least was the mare who was your typical wastelander. She didn't seem to know any of the ponies here and was quickly loading her firearm, which told me a whole lot about their team composition. I sighed before priming my weapon and pulling out my grenades and kept them close as I approached the group with a steady and strong pace.

"What brings a pre-war menace, a traitor, a child, and a survivor to the same location?. Quite an interesting mix of backgrounds don't you think? Not only that but the peculiar spike of energy that occurred in the warehouse a few moments ago was fascinating in its own right. So would somepony please be a dear and tell me what exactly is happening." I shifted my line of sight directly to the armored pegasus who sat next to the unicorn. I always liked the sleeker designs of the black insectoid armor of theirs. It was a shame it couldn't take punishment as well as the steelranger design, I guess earth ponies and pegasi had different ways of doing things. I took a second glance at the mare with her firearm out, maybe it would be safer to kill her first if things went badly. I was certain 40mm grenades were enough to put down this bunch regardless of armor, I just had to be fast enough to get a shot off.

Ezekiel finished shaking out his incense burner, blessing the area and finishing with the Steel Ranger.

"Something terrible beyond compare, a blight to every remaining stallion and mare. The spirits have informed me of the threat, even the goddesses could not have beat it, they said. I do not know it's nature or like, we must know that before it I can fight." He added darkly. "As for what brought us all to the same place, . . . I'm willing to bet it was fate." Ezekiel finished.

Ellieum scoffed as she listened to the steel ranger, clearly he didn't get out of his little safehouse very often since he didn't know who she was. "And what brings a tin can asshole to the same place?" she growled at him, as she was very much offended as she was mislabeled.

Subtly, she cast a weak ward around herself and enveloped her weapon in a weak magical field, she just needed a good enough reason and she would unload her entire clip into him. She kept her gaze on the ranger, however, the zebra was making it hard to get a clear shot since he was in the way and talking crazy.
