I need help with my oc.

Here are some things about my oc that I have in my mind.

 

He is a gamer that is good at fighting games.

 

His cutie mark is

 

He is a unicorn.

 

He got his cutie mark when he figured out how to use a move list and basic combos

 

There are a lot of things I'm still not shure about. What would his color scheme be? what should his magic aura be? And stuff like that

Zed Redwrite could be a cool name for him (Z button+Red button+right arrow). I feel like his magic aura should be an electric blue.

Good idea on the magic aura, but the image is supposed to represent a shoruken command in street fighter.

he'd need to be a colour that the red and white of his cutie mark can contrast against his fur.

When it comes to colors there are a few color harmonies that work with a red and white cutie mark..

 

Might be going in to too much details, but i may as well..

 

If you wanted to go with a complimentary colors sceme, teal/light blue could work.. It'd also suit it considering the magic aura is electric blue

 

If you wanted to go with a triatic color scheme you could have the coat a deep blue and the mane a shade of green.. or vice verse..

 

Though most characters color schemes in the show tend to keep to a monochromatic scheme (1 color, but in different shades, contrast) or an analogous scheme (3 colors next to eachother on the color wheel, again, in different shades and contrast..)

 

I personally think it'd look good as a pale yellow or tan color, kinda like Vinly Scratch.. the mane could be maybe be a shade of red (Not too vivid) to match your mark.. or maybe light blue to match your aura?

I was thinking that my character would have a nickname. Here is the name that I came up with.

Spent a bit of time and made a pic of how your pony would look if it were pale tan, with a red mane

 

Did this one fairly quickly so.. yeah, it's decent but not best quality :/

 

 

 

 

 

Also in case you wanted to play around with your own colors while still using this model of it, here's a black bordered one so you can try some color combos out for yourself ⁿ-ⁿ

It would be mirrored. That is a good idea.

Hmmm.. Not sure if it should be mirrored on the other side, as that would make the "Z" look like a sharp "S" :/

I don't really play fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, etc. as i personally find those ones a bit boring to me.. I do like some other fighters though, like Smash bros. and Naruto ultimate ninja storm

 

But if there are reverse "Z" thingies in those games then mirroring should be fine ⁿ-ⁿ

 

Besides.. in the show, most cutie marks mirror anyway xD

 

Also.. i think it's best if the cutie mark doesn't have the shadowing, as all marks tend to keep to the 2D look
