I have a black wired controller and a platinum WaveBird.

In my opinion, the WaveBird works much better than my wired controller :P

I'm sure they work the same. I'm sure you're just more comfortable using the Wavebird controller with that extra bulk under the area the start button is.

The wavebird actually lasts a long time on 2 AA batteries. The controllers on the newer consoles seem to run out of charge pretty quickly to me.

I'm sure that's because the older consoles and their wireless controllers used up much less power than the ones these days.

I have an official jet black controller that we bought on eBay bundled with an indigo GameCube, since we had to buy a new one because our platinum white one somehow broke its disk drive whilst playing Super Mario Sunshine. I also have a full white unofficial modded controller with a turbo button. I also have an indigo controller somewhere, but I think I lost it at my old house.

I'm sure I have that same controller, just black.

I have Platinum for my GC and a Link one for my Wii U. I want a Spice Orange one really bad though, and not just the controller I want the GameCube itself.

I have a spice controller, if only I knew how to send object over the internet so that we can trade controllers. I don't have a spice GameCube, though.

I don't play my Gamecube or Wii anymore. Needed to make space for other systems so I unplugged them. I have a silver controller though.

Aww, that sucks. If you really don't want to use it anymore, you should give it to a sibling or sell it. Consoles as good as the GameCube and the Wii should never be abandoned and never used again.

Hold your horses, broski. I never said I was never going to play them again, just that I'm not currently playing them and need room for consoles I actively will play. I never get rid of games or consoles because eventually I will want to play them again.

I haven't bought a new Gamecube game in forever though. They're usually really expensive.

After looking at the poll options I noticed that they seem to be asking what models of controllers you use, not simply the color.

I have a black third-party controller with a turbo button. :squee:

I voted "other" becuase it's not the official Jet (black) model.

Yea, I'm pretty sure you did. Well, I guess you didn't mean it by that.

I haven't touched my Gamecube and Wii in months, years even. None of what I said even remotely implied that I wouldn't hook them up in the future.

Black, since it matches my black GC. I play that lovely console everyday. Haven't touched the Wii in years XD

Seriously, this is the greatest thing ever made. Along with the GBA SP. Forget the DS and the Wii and all those toys the kids got these days. They weren't around in the 2000s, back when gaming was almost as cool as I hear the 90s was. Kids today don't know anything B)

No, the DS is evil! Who trades Pokemon over the wifi or whatever? Back in my day we went and found that one nerdy kid on the playground with the connector cable and gave him our lunch money so we could trade-evolve our Kadabras and Haunters. That's the way it was meant to be, damn it! Now there's like 1,000 Pokemon and you can trade 'em with whoever, whenever. It's not right man, it's just dirty. Society as we know it is dissolving all because of that evil little device. Don't even get me started on how bulky it is compared to the GBA SP!

Pokemon means nothing to me. How about Castlevania? Megaman? Izuna? Scurge: Hive? Devil Survivor? Professor Layton? A game's library is not defined by one or two franchises. On top of its own library the original DS could also play nearly all GBA games. Except for the size issue, which is purely preference, it rendered the GBA all but obsolete. And the DS' size was corrected in the DSi models, which the original 3DS design takes inspiration from.

Don't give me the "back in my day" crap because I'd been playing Pokemon when it first came out as well. You're clinging to a device literally for being out of date. The trading system has been made far more convenient, especially for those who don't want to associate with other people just to get a stronger Pokemon.

You're hopelessly clinging to when things were more difficult out of some misguided attempt at sounding more knowledgeable. Life is easier now and it's not only the "kids these days" who take advantage of the ease of use of the new generations. There's nothing to be gained about holding back video game technology in the name of "the good ol' days". Especially when we're talking about a system that literally only got better. If you still require the face-to-face interaction of trading Pokemon then by all means continue to do so. The new system doesn't keep you from doing that.

People like to use the internet to play games or have any fun. People enjoy playing games online because they don't like playing against computer generated players. Dead with it. It's just something about our idea of fun these days.
